  • good for you Shannok! I agree toot all you like!

I am on the right track today. I did 4+ miles in the snow, hit my 2 hours of activity, and my steps for the day all by 10 am!

we are going to the cheesecake factory for lunch and I have the SEARED TUNA TATAKI on my mind for lunch (dressing on the side). I can't find the nutrition facts but without the dressing it should be fine.

Ok off to the mall for returns and lunch, have a good one!

  • L- your off to a wonderful morning! What motivation that is! Good for you! I love Cheesecake Factory. Seared Tuna sounds yummy and delicious! Have fun!
  • Thanks Shannon,
I had a wonderful walk with my son this morning about 5.25 miles. It was cold! we walked through the park and then decided to walk to town. I stopped in at curves and finally convinced them that I only want a winter membership. I can get a 2 month GC for 129, a bit more expencive monthly than the full year with joining fees BUT I won't waste the months I know I won't go.

I also want to add I am loving this body bugg. I was chatting with a friend this morning and really figured out that I love it because I only have to deal with the numbers for today. I did well on WW a while back but dealing with the whole week was too much like a savings plan for me not wanting to spend my points unwisely and I always wanted points in the bank. I do the same with calorie counting but it is only for today, I don't have to think about yesterday, tomorrow, or next week. It has taken away the OCD of changing my life. I know it has only been about 3 weeks and I have a lifetime ahead of me, but today is well today and not a lifetime.

I hope you all are having a good day too

  • I have lost the 5lbs I gained over the holidays. Now time to lose more!!!
retire- your right i am getting excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. I found a dress for the wedding on wed. Its a size 18 and a year ago i was in a 26. I am wearing all black seeing how its the only thing i found i even halfway liked. It should be very slimming also. I started making table runners for the receptions. I got so overwhelmed 30 yds of fabric and i spent 7 hours just cutting out the runners.TOday i am going to start ironing the hem down to sew. NO telling how many hours it will take to sew them!! The wedding is 7 weeks from today!! YIKES!!!
  • Gah! Trying to get back on track. It is taking a bit of doing. I let myself get careless while moving and settling and over Christmas. And I am paying the price. Baaad fluid retention and a some weight gain have left me 10 pounds heavier. Mad I am at myself. But, I should be able to get rid of it in pretty short order.

If I hadn't been too doscombobulated and busy, I would have done well to have spent more time here, rather than messing up my bod, again. It sure was easy to slip back into old, bad habits. Now... To slip back into new, good habits.

I hope you are all doing great, on track and feeling good.
  • Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on 3fc, but between the holidays and some difficult life stuff I'm in dire need of getting back on the wagon! I've gained 10 lbs over my maintenance weight and I need to get it off! So, Hi everyone. I look forward to getting to know all the new faces.
  • I had a blow out day yesterday. We ended up stopping at a bakery and I caved on a fave. Came home found the calories were 500! I still only ended up 200 cals over.

Still OP today...one day at a time....
  • I discovered something yesterday when I was grocery shopping - macadamia sprinkles! They're pre-chopped macadamia nuts, so I don't have to chop them up to put on my cereal, they're already done! I love macadamias, but the hassle of chopping them means I generally just eat them whole, and I have sooooo much trouble stopping at just a couple.

Hubby reckons its the left-over bits they've swept up off the factory floor after processing. He's probably right, but as long as they've washed them I don't mind.

This made me laugh! Thank you!
  • Macadamia processing plant crumbs... funny image! Whatever works, right? If it keeps you from eating too many, then it's a good thing.

Today wasn't a great day, but it wasn't terrible either. We just got back home yesterday from seeing our families in another state, so I guess I'll just look at today as my easing back in day. I have gotten a lot more water in today. I'm hoping some of this weight is due to water retention! Oh, and I didn't have any alcohol today. I think the holiday cocktails are really what did me in, so no more alcohol for awhile for me.
  • I murdered my scale. I was in my bathroom, drying and polishing my shower walls and tub after my shower, today and I didn't look back as I stepped backward out of my tub and I stomped, hard, right down on the edge, near the dial. My scale flew up and crashed to the floor. The needle was stuck partway round the dial and the platform permanently smashed down. I tried to fix it. My husband tried to fix it. No luck. But, even if we could have fixed it, I don't know if I could have trusted it. I think it wouldn't have ever worked right, again.

Darn it. That was a good scale. Accurate, high capacity and easy to read. I have had it for a long time and I don't know how I am going to replace it. Drat. Drat. Drat.

Guess I had better start shopping for a new one. And fast. I hope I can find one nearly as good and at a price I can afford. (Which isn't much, nowadays... )

Other than that, a pretty good day. Nicely on track and under control. I do need to get more water in, tho. Both hubby and son work tomorrow so it will be a good day to get in another good workout. I did one day before yesterday, cardio and weights and push ups on my kitchen counter. (I can't get down on the floor, yet.) I felt good and only a bit sore. I hope I can do longer with the cardio, this next time and I am going to try to do a few more push ups and a few extra reps with my weights. Right now I am using 1 lb. weighted gloves. The weight seems good for me, at this point.

I hope you all had a good, on track day. I'll talk to you all tomorrow.
  • Rain Dancer, how many times would you have liked to have murdered the scales? Ha, ha. And now when you love it to pieces you break it to pieces. Hope you can find a good set in your price range soon.

I fell down today when I was exercising. The rubber sole on my sneaker stuck on the floor and over I went. The floor wasn't damaged but I banged up my elbow a bit. But it's not hurting now so I think it will be fine.
  • retiredone,
Glad you were not hurt. A little ibuprofen before bed?

Well the last 2 days, I have been on the high end of my calories BUT I have also been over on my calorie burn too. I hope it balances out in the end.
I did have sushi yesterday and although I did not use to much soy sauce, I feel it with being very thursty and I have a headache too. Alsa it was delishious and healthy

I have a wonderful walk in the woods this moring, the snow is a little soft. I still have to hop on the eliptical a little later.

I hope everyone is haveing a good OP day!

I know... I had a definite love/hate relationship with my scale. But I never wished it any harm. lol. I hope I can find a good one at a decent price.

Owww! You poor thing. I'm glad that you weren't seriously injured. Take it easy and have some ibuprofen to help with any discomfort.
  • Rain Dancer~ Good luck scale hunting! I hope you can find one you like.

Retiredone~ Ouch! Funny bone injuries are never funny! I hope you heal quickly.

L144S~ I love sushi too! The sodium can catch up to you, but after a few days and lots of water it usually goes away for me.

I did well today and stayed in calorie range. It was also my first day back at work after the holidays which makes it easier. I'm too busy to think about food.
