  • welcome ladies!

I have been OP but not quite with the gusto of winter break when the kids were home. BUT OP none the less. It has been a busy week as stuff for the auctions come in and it all needs to be processed. My eliptical started to squeek last night so I have a service call in for it, they illw be here tomorrow, so I will have to come up with an alternate for tonight to get in a little activity for the day. I did take the little man to the tubing hill today but that is not anythng i could lable as exercise as there is now a convayor belt to bring you to the top. We did have fun and it was great to be outside, cool enough to be winter but warm enough not to freeze.

    Have a great day!

  • Hey everyone~
My weekend was wonderful! I had my bridal shower on Sunday and it was soooo nice. I have many pictures and after looking at them I am now seeing the weight gain in my face. Mostly in the neck. I have never seen this before but this time its super bad. Anyway, on top of everything, I was sooooo bad this weekend. Cant even explain how bad I was.
Anyway, I am thinking about purchasing Alli tonight. Just for the mental part of taking it, eating bad and what will happen. Has anyone ever tried this yet? Pros/Cons?
  • Shannon,
I am glad you had a great weekend. Don't call yourself bad because you enjoyed an event in your honor. It is a weekend in your life, you should have enjoyed it!

As for alli, You have to eat NO fat and the side effects are HORRIBLE, let just say, have a change of cloth or 2 with you at ALL times. AND it can completly mess up your intestanl track, you stop absorbing nutriants because it forces food to pass quickly, it can trigger IBS, and other intestinal issues. Sorry, I have nothing good to say for Alli. There is a thread somewhere on 3fc, and you may get something more positive and to your liking

Shannon, you are doing great! take your time, there is no quick fix and the goal should be to keep it off for life, not just for your wedding.
  • I just finished watching the inauguration ceremonies on tv. If I was an American citizen I think I'd throw a party today in commemoration of the great event.

Shannon I'm not familiar with Alli but I looked it up on line and I think I'd stay away from that. You want something you can do the rest of your life--not a quick fix.

Having lots of fun with my exercise bike. Must go and ride to nowhere again and then hem a pair of pants. Take care.
  • Hey everyone! Thanks for the advise! Retiredone- have fun on that bike! I do the treadmill in the am and watch tv while doing it. Makes it more fun!
  • Just checking in everyone! I WI tomorrow so an I hoping to see anything but a gain! Talk to you tomorrow.
  • shannon, I used to use alli when it was called something else and was rx only.

    I hated it!

once when I VERY first started taking it took it and forgot and then ate a high fat meal. At first I was glad nothing bad had happened....then I woke up in the middle of the night wet and wondering what that smell was.. DEAR GOD. If you have to eat no fat for it to work without causing...ehem...'problems' then just try the not eating much fat thing and see where it gets you.

    eveel drug. eveel.
  • HI...not alot going on here. Trying to exercise and stay within my calories and drink my water...just wanted to let you all know i am still OP
  • Awesome job staying OP! I lost one pound this week at WI. Better than gaining one I guess! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
  • Hello all. I weighed in this morning and lost 2 pounds. So I'm almost to my pre-Christmas weight. Good job on the one pound Shannon. Hi Dgramie. Time's getting short for your wedding. Are you getting excited?

I've been flat out most of the week getting ready for my friend's daughter's wedding reception. I baked and decorated the cake on Thursday and the wee hours of Friday morning. It's beautiful, even if I did it myself. I'll post a picture when it's stacked together. It's small- only 2 cakes and a separate one to cut. I didn't decorate the cutting cake.

Catch you all later with a picture of the cake.
  • Hi everyone!
Busy week for me too, I have been on track with Cals a little low on the output but still doing ok. I did not lose last week but it seems to be may pattern of no loss one week, loss the next so I am still good

    happy counting!

  • I just wanted to poke my head in and say . I've stayed OP all week and I'm almost back under my "red line" weight. I haven't decided if I'm going to try to go below that or not.

I've decided to eat at maintenance level this weekend. We have a lot going on and I'll be around a lot of tempting foods, so I'm giving my self a little more room. I'm still tracking my calories and being careful though.

    Everyone have a great weekend!
  • Hi there - I'm new.

I officially started my diet on Monday so My first weight in is tomorrow - very scary! My Starting weight is 128kg (282 pounds) my first goal is losing 5kg (11 pounds) I'm getting married this year and hope to start a family. I also just turned 30 so decide to stop putting off my life.

    Wish me luck tomorrow!
  • Good luck tomorrow Miss, I am 29 and trying to lose this 125 lbs (99 left to lose!) by the time I'm 30. (dec 5th)

Remember to keep on plan even when the scale doesn't go the right way. Cuz sooner or later it will!
  • I lost .6 this week. Not sure what is going on with my body.I do know my jeans are alot loser than just a week ago. Calories have been on track except for the fact i have been having a few to many carbs. I will increase my veggies and watch the carbs.
I wonder if stress from the wedding is affecting my weight loss.Just 5 weeks to go. I went to a shower last night held by fsil parents friends. It was nice, food was awesome, was just a bit uncomfortable not knowing anyone except the grooms mom and dad. I didnt touch dessert at all!!
retire- I cant wait to see the cake.
shannon - keep it up the weight will come off.
    hugs to all
