Woo hoo!!! Louisiana girls in da house!!! Courtney is around here somewhere and she goes to LSU. I do understand the southern food curse and boy do I miss some of it. Congratulations on the graduation! That's amazing. I understand your health concerns. Health issues run in my family and I don't want to inherit any.

Today i have a son that turned 15! I am not sure where the time went!

I lost 1lb this week, right on plan but I did not lose last week so...oh well!

I am also proud of myself, i did a hill climb program on the tread today and ran (ok only 5 MPH ) durring the no hill climb about 1 min.segments for a total of 10 min run time, I have not run in years and I hate it, but I was pushed for time so i forced myself.

Glad to see people posting have fun with the favors

Lisa...I'd like to be able to have just 1,200 calries a day. Good work. Could you tell me what type sof foods you eat that satisfy you when eating 1,200 calories? I'm trying to get my intake down.

Welcome Lisa. Your young, you can do this now. Don't wait until you're a Golden Girl like me, ha, ha.

L, a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your boy. I know what you mean. My "baby" will be 25 this summer and he's getting married about a week before his birthday. I still think of him as my little boy. WTG on the pound loss. Slow and steady wins the race.

I haven't gotten in any exercise today. I was so tired I slept most of the afternoon. I get so worked up at night thinking about everything that has to be done for DS's wedding that I can't sleep some nights and last night was one of those nights. But tonight I have to get some sleep as I have an early dental appointment tomorrow morning and I don't want to sleep in and rush around in the morning. I'm going to get on my bike for half an hour and get in at least that much.

Catch you all later.

Thanks RO,
I too did not get in any exercise today. I spent 5 hours in an auction meeting going through the head solicitors book (4 others in the room) to find items we have not processed. We found about 40, which is a huge amount! I have enlisted my son to enter the items into the system as he has the day off AND he types much faster than I do and I am responsible for the "slale" text so i will have to get all 40 processed over the weekend.
I figure one day off won't kill me right? I was on the low end of my calories today even with a big opps with 1/2 of a DD muffin!

Busy day again tomorrow, with a hair color in the middle but I will climb ficticious hills tomorrow

hello to all!

starzmom,

I have learned its easier for me to count calories when i can see exactly how many calories on the package...well i usually do special k cereal for breakfast i switch up from the vanilla almond and pecan crunch with 2% milk and i dont drink the milk after...my snack is always a apple and water for lunch i mainly have turkey sandwiches, with mrs. bairds honey 7 grain wheat (2 slice 150 cal) alot of lettuce ,tomatoes, onion, pickles, jalapenos, and mustar and a half slice of 2% peperjack cheese. And for dinner a lean cousine or health choice with a lot of salt and pepper lol or i grill two precut chicken breats stips with grean beans and or salad.....i have not had a soda or anything fried since i started....strickly water and drink mixes ... subway chicken breast sandwiches, wheat bread ,all the veggies ,half slices of cheese mustard instead of mayo....i just have become very aware of what i eat now... a much older friend told me i should try to lose weight now while its easy sooooo here i am!

thanks for the welcome retiredone

Just got off my bike. All sweaty and starting to get chilly from evaporation. I did 40 minutes and rode just about 9k. I just punched my food intake into fitday and I ate way too much fruit cake today. It tasted so good and moist and I had 3 pieces. Plus I had 1.5 cupcake with frosting. Not good for me today but it all tasted good. I don't think I'll ever be like some people who say they don't like this or that since they stopped eating it. I still like all the cake and junk food and it still tastes good to me when I indulge.....Sigh.....I gotta stop cooking wedding food in January when the wedding isn't til July.

I know what you mean - I still love the junk but I know if I start I can't stop so I don't have it in the house. As we speak I have just eaten a whole bag of mini rice snacks - was only going to have half! So pleased it wasn't chips!! I just pray that when I reach goal I will have changed - hmmmm

My weight is just not budging the way I want it to...I journal everything I eat and try to eat only the most healthy foods, but am on the verge of menopause and I think it is messing with my metabolism.
