SlimmingDown ~

Looks like what your doing is working for you. I personally am doing calorie counting and learning about nutrition. I am trying to make all my calories healthy foods and getting away from processed foods.
Zenor ~ I almost always am cooking just for me. DH works out of town and YDD is rarely home between work and her BF. I am fortunate because I don't mind eating some things over and over. Now I always try to have something different at dinner but breakfast, snacks and lunch are usually leftovers are the same combos. Not awake enough in the morning or have enough time to be to creative. LOL! Last night I had tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner. One of my favorite comfort foods from childhood and quick to make.
I have to agree with Shy Moment. People are always looking for the bargain not realizing the bargain is actually hurting them. Just like the super size stuff. Well for only this much more you can get twice as much. Yah, twice as much thunder thighs, double chin, wiggly arms or jelly belly. Now I don't see those as bargains.
Bargoo ~ I am no longer paying to have someone help me lose weight but and I refuse to support the diet/exercise industry. I am a diet book junky and I was even going to buy another one this weekend when I decided enough is enough. I know what is going to work and I just need to trust myself. I am also not buying any more exercise equipment because it will just sit there. For some people it works but it never has for me.
Irish ~ That is horrible that your son has the flu, I hope for a speedy recovery. Sounds like you did OK at the party and you may just be retaining water. Alcohol initially dehydrates and then your body decides to rehydrate and hold on to it. At least that was always true for me. Don't worry, no nice weather stories here. LOL! It rained yesterday, flooded things, got really cold and now everything is ice again.
Tinky ~ WHOHOO! CONGRATS ON THE RING! Was it as romantic as he was shooting for? How is the juice fast going? I could never do it because juice makes me sick to my tummy, always has and I never acquired the taste for it because of this. Bothered me even as a child.
Debi ~ Congrats on the loss! Keep up the good work.
Diva ~ Don't get discouraged. It appeared from your post that your not. Does your body lose in cycles? Mine does. I may lose a couple pounds one week with no inches lost and the its reversed the next week. Always remember you are changing from the inside out. I know each day my body is getting healthier and that is my goal.
I am reading a book that in a 7 year period our body has replaced every cell in our body. So if you start eating healthy today, in 7 years every single cell that was affected by unhealthy eating will be replaced. In 7 years, I will have a new body. Its a wonderful thought but at the same time I will be 47 before that happens. GEEZ!
I just noticed something yesterday. I have never been able to grow decent finger nails and I am now. They used to be thin, weak, brittle, peel, etc. Now, none of that. I have been told that your nails, skin and hair can tell you what is going on inside. So if this it true, things are definitely turning around for me. My skin doesn't ich as much and I don't have to use as much lotion. My hair looks healthy and my nails are strong and healthy.
I am not sure if anyone read my last post on the other thread, forgot we started a new month, but I bought a book called "The Idiots Guide to Being Vegetarian". Well DH decided I needed it. LOL! Remember he is a big meat eater but he feels this is where I am headed because I am really enjoying my food lately and I am getting away from unnatural foods. Anyway, I tested as a natural vegetarian that was taught to eat and like meat. My Mom also tested the same. So far I really like what they are saying. Has anyone else read this book or heard of it?
Well I better get going and get some work done and I will talk to you all later.
