I also wonder if it's some sort of hormonally driven hunger?
I also eat 5 to 6 times a day and about the same calorie count as you. Just make sure you eat your veggies. They add fiber, vitamins and minerals to your diet without all the calories. Rarely am I really hungry. I sometimes get mentally hungry but that has nothing to do with my tummy. LOL!

Since 10:30 am yesterday we now have 16 inches of snow. It stopped snowing but is snowing again. We live in a little valley. We either get nothing or we get a ton.
Shy Moment ~ I heard your area got slammed hard. It passed south of where I live but this has been a record year for even areas of Michigan. The good news is the Great Lakes are going to up this year. Hope your dug out.

I also told him that one fried chicken breast had a half of days worth of calories . He said he had no idea it wasnt something i could eat.MEN!! lol
My Mom has that also and it can be miserable. When I first started adding fiber I was having all kinds of problems but yogurt seemed to help me but I don't think it would work for your condition. Are you on meds?

Personally I could eat the chicken either without getting sick. I don't eat much deep fried foods and when I do, it tears me up. I ate lots of greasy stuff this weekend and I felt sick all weekend. Why I do it when I know its will make me sick is beyond me and it didn't look good on the scale either.

to our group. Personally I am a little excited to see a Vegan because I am starting to learn about the vegetarian lifestyle. Being Vegan is a lot of work. I am looking forward to getting to know you and hear what you eat. I don't think I could ever be more than a lacto-ovo but I am still in the learning process of even that.

OK, so last week was a wash for me and I have accepted it and gotten back in the saddle. Hopefully when the bloat is gone I won't have done to much damage. Stress sure can do horrible things to a diet but I am not going to let it do it to me this week. I exercised this morning, packed my meals and on my way to recover. I feel really gross from eating gross stuff. It is amazing what junk can do to a body and how it makes you feel both physically and mentally. I guess I felt mentally like junk and decided I needed to feel that way physically. Not this week, not again.

Well I better get going I have a dentist appointment and I will talk to you all later.

Hello Counters!! Well I'm breaking my fast today. I will be introducing my tummy to more solid foods real soon. This cleanse has really taught me a lot about how I used to look at food. Your whole life revolves around it. Most of my girlfriends called me up during this fast and what was the first words? We should do lunch and catch up, we should do dinner...so on and so on. I also want to make more healthy choices. I plan to eliminate white sugar, white flour, fried foods. It's going to be hard, but it has to be done. LOL Ok, I need to get off my .

GrammyL- I'll be your veggie buddy. I plan on eating mostly vegetarian. I just can't really give up my sushi. I refuse. LOL!

Irish- You'll get there girl. Body fluctuations is one of the many hurdles while counting. It's a road traveled many a time.

Giovanni- Looking forward to gettting to know you!

Diva- Awww..I'm sorry. It's not the best feeling. My co-workers were looking at past pictures of me from last Sept, and they joked about how I used to look skinnier. It's not like I put on 20 lbs! Ugh....talk about support. I love my girls, but sometimes.......

Well have a great day everyone. I will be back later!

AHHHH! Diva I missed your post. HUGS! HUGS! and more HUGS! That was just rude even if is the type to joke. What people don't realize its people take that to heart. I know I do and so does my DH even if he laughs like it doesn't bother him.

Tinky ~ Your on. I have so much to learn and to actually see my protein intake for one day was kind of scary. I am going to start having an egg whites in the morning instead of a soy product. I was almost double the recommended amount.

How are you feeling after the cleansing. I have thought about it but often get sick from juice if I don't have something with it. Just rips my insides up and I would be starving.

Yes, our society is so into food that its not even funny. Rarely do here someone call and say, you want to go for a walk or a cup of tea. My neighbor does but we were walking buddies. She is a little to depressing for me so I try to avoid it but I don't think I will be able to this year. She freaks me out now and I prefer to walk alone. I can at least talk to myself, laugh and have a smile in my heart that way. LOL! She like takes everything fun and stomps it into the group and paints every thing black. ARG!

Just make sure you get those required amounts of the four basic food groups in. Or at least something that substitutes for those food groups if that is possible.

Grammy
That is a great attitude. What we did before we learn from, we don't beat our selfs up over it. There is nothing we can do from the past BUT learn from it. Today is today and now is the time we work for tomorrow. We ended up with over 20 inches before the storm was over. I kept up with it so all dug out and not a lot of work at one time. I was out there for every inch lol. The snow blower stopped working after the first 16 inches.

Irish
You just stick with it and remember, the turtle won the race not the rabbit. Slow coming off isn't bad. We didn't gain the weight in a day. We aren't going to lose it in a day either.

giovanni

We are here and we understand. This journey we are all on to become a more healthy thinner person doesn't happen over night. It does happen and is well worth the trip.

Numbers are hard. They are different for everyone.

I have ibs and was on some serious medication for it. I cut out the fried foods and I haven't had to take my meads for 8 months.

Thank you for welcoming me, First, I became a vegetarian and it was so easy, 5 moths later I became a vegan. You should try to be a vegetarian first for a while before veganism. This morning, I had Total cereal with some Almond Milk(it sounds disgusting but it is really delicious). Later for Lunch, I had a vegan burger with mustard and a bottle of water. Later for dinner, I had a veggie rib sandwich with a side salad with low fat italian. It was a very delicious day. Good luck everyone. I can't "weight" to see results for the summertime.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'll go back and read posts later. I've been super busy this last week. Which is good because the week has flown by and tomorrow is when DH is flying back. Yay! So tomorrow I'm off to the "west side" again.

I'm going to indulge tomorrow. I'm having dinner at Ikea! I know that sounds so lame, but hey, why not? Plus, I can kill time there while I wait for DH's flight to come in.

Just a question about the Almond Milk. Does it actually have a nutty taste like almonds? I have always wondered that because I would really enjoy it if it does.

As of now I am still cutting meat the rest of the way out of my eating plan and getting resistance from my DH. If it wasn't for DH I wouldn't even have meat in the house but I think he is freaking out on me. What I now know is I don't really care for the texture of meat but like the taste so I have been using products that are "mock". I have even found that you can get these products in some of our favorite restaurants.

I am gradually working my way into lacto-ovo but I think I would have a hard time giving up cheese because I love it. Eggs, I could live without, never been a big fan. I have tried veggie cheese but it just doesn't work for me. I do buy fat free or 2% cheese so that I am not getting as much fat.

Vegan sounded really hard to me because of the apparel changes and the hidden animal byproducts in things. You have to be very knowledgeable in order to do it.

What brand of veggie ribs do you buy? I bought Morning Star but haven't had the opportunity to try them yet. I know they are not totally environmentally friendly company but they are easy to find.

I sure hope I don't scare you off because I am so curious.

Almond milk has a nice and creamy texture with a taste of almonds, I buy the almond breeze vanilla brand. Very delicious. A lot of foods in my diet contain mock meats because they are delicious and some are low calorie. You should slowly go lacto ovo, it is really healthy for you. The brand of veggie ribs that I buy are the GardenBurger brand, really delicious, the best!!!!! You have to buy the brand, i cut it up and put in a bun for a veggie rib sandwich. And,don't worry about anything, I will answer any questions. Have a good day everyone.
