Hello ladies... I'm not really new - long time lurker, but I decided I should get my butt in gear since the month is changing and start posting. I've been doing this for 2 months shy of a year now, counting calories. I've lost about 67 lbs or something and just working on the last 10-20. I am doing 1400-1650 calories a day because I have a high level of activity. Nice to meet you all.
sakuya3834 WTG, you are so close. I can't wait until I get that close.
I'm doing well and proud of myself for what I have lost. I weigh in on Monday and want at least 1 lb gone. If that happens I will have lost 50 and it has taken a year to do it. I want to lose another 10-15 by December 16th as that is my hubby's company Christmas party and that will put me down at least one more size.
This week has sucked though because we have had really bad weather with snow and ice so I haven't been able to get to the gym to do my workout. I knew i was gonna miss on Tuesday so I did both my cardio and weights on Monday. I had no clue I wouldn't be able to get them done the rest of the week. Monday starts a new week though and I will be making sure that I get there.
Argh, I had approximately 2100 calories yesterday, though that's just a guess as I don't really know how many calories the fried cheese empanadas had (that DH's grandmother forced on me). I did aim high though with the calorie counting; I try to be honest with myself. So, not such a great day at all! Luckily I did 35 minutes on the cardio machines and 30 minutes weights/abs. While I did lose a pound in the past week, I still was back up 2 pounds, so what have I really gained except more fat?! What a waste. This is very slow going for me, I just wish I could get my eating more under control like a lot of you ladies on here. I am so impressed with some of the calorie counts! I tend to have about 2 to 3 really good days each week (plus 4 days of exercise for over an hour), but that just enables me to lose about .5 to 1 net pound (after all the gaining and losing during the week). Ugh!
So - for those of you that have been doing fitday for awhile, how close does the balance track with how fast you actually lose? When I was doing it before I always had to change my "activity level" to "bed ridden" and just add in my exercise to make it somewhat close. This time I tweaked it until it was 500 calories higher than bedridden to adjust for nursing. Too soon to tell how well it is tracking on average.
