Good Tuesday evening blue team!! On points exercised in the a.m and now I will use the elliptical tonight during t.v. watching. Not sure for how long my hip has been killing me today I think in the new job I have at work I'm standing in one spot longer and in what I used to do I was walking alot more.

emilyk- good thoughts and well wishes for you all day!!!

EofAZ- I love using my crockpot too! It's nice coming home and dinner is ready.

reji- Hi welcome to the blue team nice to meet you!

Lady-I agree with the others don't stress about the swim suit. I totally know how you feel. Have fun with your bf's family.

Isabella- Your soup looks great very tasty!

ak812-Great job on all the exercising! I told my husband about bananas in a blanket he is planning on making them soon. Hope you get to bed early I know how it is staying up just a little longer and all of a sudden it's after 11p.m. Not cool when you need to get up at 5 a.m. to exercise.

Kelly-Hi tom sucks it always makes me feel like I back track but there is not much we can do about it.

Leslie-Hi!

KimL1214- I'm so glad you are doing well with not smoking. You know the exact day, hour, and minutes of when you quit. Great job!

qtapostolic- It's my TOM also and I had bad cramps for last couple of days. I can't wait until it is over. I believe I will see a bigger weight loss once it is over.

retiredone-I bookmarked the recipe to try someday. It looks good. I love noodle recipes. Thanks!

EofAZ- I cooked a pork tenderloin in the crockpot yesterday and turned it into pulled pork with BBQ sauce. I still have leftovers and had it today and will probably have it tomorrow. I also like to make chili in the crockpot. Have you been able to get a stew started?

I've been doing good with my diet and counting WW points. Haven't really gone over too much and when I did I used Activity Points. I still have all my Weekly Points. Hoping for a better loss this week.

Have a good night everyone.

KimL1214 CONGRATULATIONS on the no smoking!!! You can do this!!! You will be so much healthier and happier in the long run. Chew gum, oe even cut pieces of straws to stick in your mouth when the going gets tough. Or take up knitting. Suck on hard candy. Something, ANYTHING, to keep your hands and mouth busy. I had to have a tongue biopsy today to check for tongue and/or throat cancer. I smoked for 21 years. You do NOT want that. Quit now. Ok, lecture over. Mostly, be proud of yourself for doing this.

My procedure went well. Quick. I was nervous of the anaesthsia. I've had 2 c-sections and 2 back surgeries, but all done under locals, not general. But it was fine. My throat and mouth are quite sore though. I'm not supposed to talk or eat solid food for 2 days, and I can't yell for a week. How will I communicate with my kids??? (KIDDING!!). I also can't do anything more strenuous than walking for a week!! For just a biopsy?? Grrr. I was really thrilled to be doing the easy5K program again, but I'll follow doctor's orders and just walk MORE to make up for it. I get the results in a week or so. He did say that he didn't see anything suspicious, so I'm hoping (duh!) the ct scan and symptoms are the result of something other than cancer.

I'm actually having trouble staying under calorie goal today on the liquid diet. I thought it would be easy but it's not. I think because I'm HUNGRY. tomorrow I'll add protein powder to my smoothies.

Sorry it's all me me me today. I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow I hope!

Emily, put greens in your smoothies to cut down on the calories. The greens are almost calorie free. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all will be well with the biopsy.

giffy, take care of that hip. Try to walk a little around that spot your standing in.

ak812, LOL on the birth control. Actually, it's quite different when you have your own kids. I taught for 31 years and your own kids take on a whole different dimension and you won't mind being around them at all. (at least most days, lol) I'm sure you could use chicken instead of tofu in that soup.

EofAZ, I use my slow cooker quite a bit making baked beans or soup/chili. Before I was vegetarian I'd cook roasts, chicken, etc with vegetables so we'd have supper ready when we got home from work. I've had the same cooker for 34 years. It was given to me as a wedding present and is probably the most useful and longest remaining gift I ever received.

Eliza, sounds like you have things under control and I'm sure you'll see a good loss this week or very soon for sure.

Takingcontrol, I noticed in the nutrition thread that you call your supper "tea". When I was little my father and mother used that term interchangeably with supper. It was either, "come and get your tea." or "come and get your supper." It's the British Isles roots in Newfoundland. I was just tickled to see you use that term.

I was up fairly early this morning as we were expecting the cable man here to disconnect the cable so I had to get dressed and presentable looking for the public. We're switching to satellite by the weekend. I won't get to my bike now until the afternoon, although the cable guy was here already, because I have to take my MIL to a doctor's appointment. As I'm already dressed I'll wait to get all sweaty until after I get her home.

It must be fairly warm outside as I can see my neighbour out in her t-shirt. We have a very cool spring and May can be hit or miss with nice weather. One day it can be really cold and miserable and the next swim suit weather. Actually, June is almost as bad, lol. I've got to try and get out in the garden to do some cleaning up of the flower beds as they have gone jungle wild over the last couple of years.

Have a good day Blue Team.

Emily K -- Some days it is better to just share what is going on in your life and not worry about everyone else. Hope everything goes well with the biopsy.

KimL1214 -- A good job from me too. DH has tried a couple of times and has cut down a lot but can't seem to make the last step of quitting.

Eliza31, Giffy68, Ak812 -- still haven't got my stew going. Had to come in ultra-early for DH so left the house at 5am. There was no time for anything extra other than packing lunches and heading for the door. Have you ladies tried the crockpot liners? I love those things, sure makes cleaning up supper easy. Most of the time I just grab the bag full of leftovers, twist it shut and transfer it to a bowl for storage in the refrig. Talk about easy when you are running late getting home.

Good Wednesday Morning to everyone I haven't had a chance to "talk" to lately. I'm still in a bit of catch up mode.

This AM we left the house about an hour earlier than normal. I arrived at work at 5:45am (boy traffic is light when you come in an hour earlier). I don't "clock in" until 7am so I took advantage of the extra time to hit the Energy Room with my video and do 30 minutes (or so, it might have been a little longer) of a toning and core workout. So when I get home tonight tired and cranky I can just veg if I decide to. Already decided we are doing Subway on the way home. A nice Salad sounds like a good dinner. I don't do that very often; poor DH is a trucker and drove over the road until just the past year. If you ever have stopped into very many truck stops you will find most of the time the only restaurant option they have available for them is a Subway. They are good but not for every single day. Poor guys, I have a real soft spot when I see the truckers running over the road. Ooops, started climb up on my soap box but I'll put that away before I even start. LOL

Retiredone -- My smaller crockpot is Avacado Green does that tell you anything?

Have a good day everyone. Go Blue Team!!!

I had a whole long post typed, and I somehow hit the wrong button, and it disappeared into the internet abyss

Thank you for the compliments and congratulations, it makes me feel so great!

Quick update: Had my first observation hours with an occupational therapist today, and I LOVED it! Can't wait to finish school. Just downloaded New Rules of Weightlifting for Women on my nook, so I'm excited to start some major lifting!

Hope you're all doing great Blue team!!

Had a rough first week. Still doing my three days a week of Zumba. I am thinking about starting the 'be fit in 90' program on days that I am not doing Zumba. I am officially setting my calories at 1800 on days that I work out and 1600 for days I am not working out. Hope to see some results. I hate this 200 junk! lol Unfortunately, I did not get the job I interviewed for so I guess I have more time to concentrate on exercising my gut away.

Retiredone Haha at 'tea' so very normal to me, but when I first moved to Asia I was calling my meals breakfast, dinner and tea. Talking about dinner in the middle of the day caused so much confusion I trained myself to use lunch, but the tea thing will never leave me! Here we would very rarely use supper for a meal, that would be your snack before bed. I think those from the south would use breakfast lunch and dinner, and that is slowly becoming the norm up here too. Shame!

Lostangel sorry to hear about you not getting the job, very postitve of you to use your extra time to exercise more, let us know how the fit in 90 goes

Rainydays you so deserve all the compliments and the feel good factor, you're an inspiration! When are you done at school? I cannot wait to finish either, this has been a lonnnng year! I've heard a lot about the new rules, pls keep me posted on how you find it. What kit do you need to buy? I adore my pump classes at the gym, nothing beats feeling strong

EmilyK Glad to hear the procedure went well a week of no yelling? Ouch!

Eliza sounds like you're having a great week

EofAZ Respect to your early start, wow! I stuggle to get up at 6.30 to go jogging, but I'll never complain again! I do like the after feeling of getting my exercise out of the way early though!

Giffy SOunds like you're doing great, well done!

Apologies to anyone I've missed, I forgot to check the other page before I started typing!

I'm keen for a fab Thursday, had a treat yesterday, went out for lunch with a friend and we had cupcakes, BIG cupcakes, but it tasted so good thanks to being back on plan and it being a genuine treat! I went to Pump last night, I would normally be spinning today, but they messed up with my reservation so I'm only on the reserve list, sat by the phone hoping for a call if someone cancels! The rain is really nasty out there today, so I'm putting off walking the dog for a bit in the hope it clears, if it doesn't there's no way I'm jogging today, but I'll do a home cardion workout, something I don't like doing often in fear of upsetting the neighbours, but with no gym class and foul weather, choices are limited!

Have a fab Thursday blues!

Great to have you on board Tkkoz! I think a few of us didn't make a great start so are only just getting on track this week so you've really not missed much at all

It's just dawned on me with your 'Happy Friday' just how mega the time difference is between you and the ladies in the USA! I thought I was far ahead of everyone else, not any more!

Tkkoz, happy Friday to you too. I'm just in the middle of Thursday morning, lol. So glad you've joined us. Maybe you'd better get your weight in by Saturday so you don't miss the deadline on Sunday.

Takingcontrol, interesting that the term supper would be a snack in the UK. I'm preparing dinner right now which will be served around noon. I grew up calling the noon meal dinner and since I've retired we have our biggest meal at that time. We're having a vegetarian chicken stew today with raisin buns (biscuits, scones, or whatever they may be called in your neck of the woods, lol). What ever the meal is called I don't want to miss it.

EofAz, do you have many early mornings like yesterday? Or is that the norm for you? I could walk to work when I was working so I never had any really early mornings like that. You must hit the bed pretty early each night.

Lostangel, so sorry you didn't get that job you interviewed for. You'll break the 200 mark any day now.

Rainydays
, you'll have to tell us about the new guidelines for women's weight lifting.

Have a good day everyone no matter which day it is in your corner of the world.

hi Blue Team!
TOM is finally over and I managed to stay in Onederland through it, so now I'm hoping for a great weigh in on Sunday!
Yesterday I was so busy that I forgot some of the things I ate until this morning so I edited my nutrition post and found out I barely stayed in my cal range, oops, but at least I didn't go over.
Today is going to be a bit crazy as well, especially since the weather is looking good... my lil' Robbie (1yr old) wants to be out in the yard throwing the ball or he's throwing a fit inside the house!
Isabella the weather in Northern Michigan is similar to yours, one day snow, the next day shorts and tank tops. In the end of March we had a huge snow storm hit and left 3 ft. of snow in two days, the next week we had 70 degree weather, so people were on the ski hills in their swim suits! They put pics of it in the local paper
emily hope ur feeling better soon, and I don't think I could communicate with my kids without yelling for a week either!
well, I've run out of time again, luv to the rest of my fellow Bluesers! ttyl

Hi everyone! Just stopping in quickly to say Happy Thursday! Will be back later for some personals. I'm feeling SO sick that I haven't gotten any exercise in yesterday or today. My nose is stuffed, my head hurts & I'm afraid I have yet ANOTHER sinus infection. Seriously, being a Pre-K teacher is like walking around in a landmine of germs all day long. I've been staying in calorie range, and even under, so I'm hoping the lack of exercise won't cause a gain this week.

Be back to check in later! Have a fantastic day!
