What will you focus on the first week of this challenge?
I'm going to focus on small portions and committing to my 30/30. I'm already waffling on that. But I've batch cooked some healthy foods! So that's the hardest part, right? That's why I ate awful last week. No strategy. I'm also going to restart Beck principles.

Shannon- 4 weeks at the ranch- you sure? LOL
It's not the ranch per say but their resorts. Pretty much like a fat camp for adults. But a vacation where I can hike in beautiful scenery, exercise, hoop, and learn about healthy lifestyles with gourmet foods cooked for me? Awesome! I know I need a vacation from work bad. :P
Happy New Year to All,
My name is Jane and this will be my second round of BLC. I gave into some holiday temptations and am up a few pounds. I sure hope I can turn that around quickly!
About a year ago, I had a double mastectomy and the first steps of reconstruction (DIEP flap) where they take belly fat and move it to where your breast tissue used to be. It was an 11 hour surgery. Now that I'm losing weight, the good news is that my hips/thighs have shrunk more than my chest! Just goes to show you how stubborn that belly fat really is! My motivation is to get to my goal weight before my last surgery so that I can get a "lift" and be my final shape. Then move on with my life and forget about it.
Shannon - Here's hoping you get to the BL resort! I just read an article from someone who went for a week and it sounds intense! Your hula hooping is awesome!
Rated - I see you signed up and have been holding steady. You are my inspiration!
I plan to stay on my 1500 calorie plan, attend WW weekly, exercise 60 minutes daily, and drink more water. Just got a Pur Pitcher and the water tastes good! Looking forward to getting to know you!
Hello Red Team!
My name is Lanita
I have been participating in these challenges since 2010, but was off and on til the last challenge.
A little about myself: I'm 58. Have 3 boys (men) ages 29, 26 and 17. I am a SAHM, youngest son has Cerebral Palsy.
My DH passed away last Christmas day. Part of my reason for finally losing the weight is to honor him and to get healthy for my youngest son and for the first grandbaby on the way in March!!
Weight Watchers is working for me, so that is the lifestyle I will stick with.
This is my first BLC on here. I'm pretty excited. I want to lose 5lbs in January and at least 1lb a week afterwards until I reach my goal. I don't have a set goal, right now I want to get to 145lbs so that I have a 'normal' BMI. I think I need to get to under 130lbs to really feel confident and show off my hard work!
I like to run, I'm a runner (I have a hard time saying that because when I do I get funny looks from people LOL), I also like trying new things. Right now I'm taking an indoor rock climbing class, bootcamps, and swimming lessons (yes, I'm that 30-something chick that can't swim!). I'm hoping to do my first triathlon this year as well as another marathon.
My name is Paula and this is my second BLC! One thing I learned from the first one was to not give up even when I mess up. It helped and I lost 19 lbs the first time.
My goal for this one is to lose 1 lb/wk or 12 lbs. 10 would be great as I am turning 50 in Feb. and I want to be in the 150's for it!
I am currently separated from my husband, for a variety of sins, and have two sons, 15 & 12. I am currently enrolled in our local jr. college, working towards my Associates in Computer Science/System Security. I also have a small online costume shop that I set up when my boys were little, so I could be home with them. I'm ready to close it down and spread my wings.
Anyone got any ideas on what to make with bolts and bolts of satin fabric??? LOL!
This week I am planning to get BACK into exercise and drink 10+ cups of water today.
Hi team! I'm Teresa I was a part of the last challenge, but due to overtime at work I kept forgetting to post on time! This time I'm in it for sure! I totally gave in to holiday temptations, and am up 3lbs from starting weight hurt so much to change my ticker!
Hi Red team
I am excited that the challenge has started. I have been involved in past challenges but this is my first time on the red team!
I am 41 years old, married, and have 3 children who are 13, 10, 8. I returned to College this past September, so sometimes I find it hard to keep things balanced, but I am committed to seeing this challenge through. I count calories and I am aiming for at least 5 days a week of exercise. I exercise with fitness dvds and my Stairmaster. I also try to do some Wii Fit Plus everyday.
I can't wait to get to know everyone. Let's go red team
Good morning Everyone!! after reading about you all i feel like i know you all a bit better, and should tell you a bit about me
im 25, I live in Bunbury in Western Australia (so im about 10 - 12 hours ahead of most of you) im an electrical and mechanical draftsperson at a local power station just outside Bunbury. 2011 was a bit of a mess for me with family issues, but its also the year that i found the 3fc website and joined in August. i hv so far gone from 222lbs to 205lbs with the help and support of many of its members. i dont have any kids, i have a labrador, his name is Charlie, hes my child lol...
my goal for this year is to get to my goal weight of 143lbs (65kgs) and decide from there if i should lose any more. i was doing really well at one stage but fell off the bus about 5 weeks ago and hvnt been able to climb back on... until now that is i just want to be healthy really, ive been over weight most of my life, i hv photos of me as a skinny 12 yr old and thats it, never again...
i have an appointment on friday at 10am with a dietician, my first appointment... bit worried but excited.
so this week i am going to aim to drink more water, atleast 2 liters
How was everyone's first day?
I'm still drinking my water as I didn't make it drinking a glass every hour. But I did drop my homemade 'mocha' in the afternoon & switched to regular coffee.
Remember not to beat yourself up over things you didn't accomplish & don't use it as an excuse to slip. Tomorrow is a new day!
Hi Red team. My name is Piper and this is my first challenge. I'm 41 years old, married 15 years, and have a 6 month old baby girl. I currently am a stay at home mom, and count calories.
What will you focus on the first week of this challenge?
I will focus on staying in my 1500 calorie range and start exercising for 30 minutes per day 5 days per week. (I haven't exercised in years so I need to start somewhere.)
HI Red Team!!
Welcome back to all those who are returningfrom the last challenge and welcome to all who are on their first challenge.
I'm already running late on my goals, I was going to spend time at the gym today but got hit with a migraine and a dizzy spell. I took a pill and went to bed for most of the day. So tomorrow afternoon I'm going to go work out. I want to start the couch to 5k program.
Mel: This week I will work on the first week of couch 25k program and get to the gym 3 times. I also need to keep drinking water to flush the bloating I've had the last few days. Too much junk food.
I'm subbing tomorrow (HS science) so I'm going to finish my hot chocolate and head for bed.
Everyone have a great week.
Bette K
Hi all. loose seal here and this is my first BL challenge. I'm looking to lose the baby weight I gained from my youngest . . . who will be 15 next month. That's 15 years, not months. 'Bout bloody time, huh? lol
I count cals, exercise 5-6 days/wk (change it up everyday though), walk the doggies 5 days/wk (weather permitting - I don't do windy cold, I've never done windy cold) and do my best to pass by the junk food . . . some days are better than others with that. I''m glad the holidays are over and I can get back to my routine called life.
I think the new BL show starts tomorrow night, doesn't it? I usually watch in On Demand the next day or so. Those folks give me inspiration! Looking forward to this challenge here and chatting up you guys.
My goals for this challenge are for people to start calling me loser . . . and this time have it pertain to my weight.
