misspriss- How did your workout go? Hope all is well!

Fitin10- Work drama? Whats that? Haha just kidding. I hate that kind of stuff. Hope your doing well! Are you feeling any better after the recent dental work? I'm going in later this month 3 times for 3 cleanings before I go home to the states. Then when I come back here in August I have to have a root canal. Yuck! Haha.

AmyMw- Your baby is so cute! Sorry about him not sleeping though. That's a bummer. I don't have any kids myself so I don't have any advice for you, sorry. But, nice vent! I love coming here for a vent myself. The best place for me usually.

Aclai- Woohoo! $50 and you didn't have to eat anything! Awesome! I'm so jealous of you being in Nashville now. Before I came to South Korea I lived there for a year. My best friends live there. I love it there!! Everytime I fly in to Nashville it's like coming home. Do you like country music? What are your interests? I could give you some hot spots to hit up once you get settled if you like. Did you find a teaching job yet?? When I lived there I lived in downtown Nashville and taught at Hume Fogg High School for my student teaching. Can't wait to hear more about how your life is there. Hope unpacking is going well.

Beautyandthebeast- Ooooo a country club! How cool! What is it like? Hope it kicks your fitness up like you said it would. What kind of gym do they have? Do they have classes there? Sounds fun! I love the pools and the country clubs. Great way to beat the heat in the summertime. My parents have a timeshare with a golf resort in town and we spend our weekends at the pool there. Good fun!

Well ladies, I'm back on plan and doing well. Food today is prepared and on track. Heading to the gym after work today, and then will head to bf's work to have dinner together. We went last night and bought some cereal, bananas, and milk. I guess I'm on a modified version of the special k challenge right now because for awhile that will be two meals a day or one meal and a snack a day. 27 days to go!!!

Hi everyone!!

This has been a busy crazy week at work!! I wore my pedometer today and walked 4500 steps considering my job is mostly at a desk that is a lot of walking!

I am excited for this challenge!
I look foward to getting to know all of you.

Tammie

tammies00 - That's a ton of steps for a desk job! That's good motivation to break mine out of the sock drawer

2phatinvictoria - Sorry to hear about the job, the + side is now you have lots of time to focus on your health.

shan84 - I'm feeling better, thanks. 1 root canal a replacement crown and a couple of fillings, I'm just about done with the dentist. Good luck with your special K!

AmyMW - That's an awesome onsie. As for your little one is he still doing multiple naps? If so this may be your cue its time to drop one. Otherwise if you can stand it, go through your routine, add extra cuddle time, verbally walk him through the bedtime process, tell him good night and leave. Eventually he will go to sleep. It gets better pretty quick, they are smart little guys.

BeautyandtheBeast - Good luck with the country club, hopefully its an inspiring new start.

Morning Girls,

I have been under the weather lately but feel a bit better today. I may have to skip the exercise today though. Still doing fine food wise. Not feeling so great makes that pretty easy.

phatinvictoria-I was laid off one month ago. I have been on a serious lifestyle change ever since. Probably spending too much time on exercising and logging my food and exercise stats and not enough time searching for a new job! I have been better this week since I am not really up to exercising.

I'm finally checking in. It's been crazy around here with school being out now and getting into a new routine.

I've been OP all week with my calories between 1300-1500 (one day 1292 but that was close enough.)

I've been at a stall for nearly 3 weeks. I had the 188.5 that I reported when I joined this challenge, but then it moved up to the 189's (I think it's been from .1 through .9) and have been stuck there for nearly 3 weeks!

I started 30 Day Shred in that time and I honestly think my body freaked out somehow because of it. So I've stopped 30DS for now to see if my scale will start moving again!

My body has definitely changed during these three weeks, but it's so frustrating to be totally OP and not have the scale move.

I've tried upping my calories for a week thinking I needed more calories due to the heavier exercise. But no budge. I usually aim for 1400-1600 per day.

Now I've lowered my calories to 1300-1500 per day and am sticking to mostly cardio with a bit of resistance work.

Anyhow, I'm starting this challenge a pound up from what I originally reported so I'm hoping and praying the scale will move down in the morning for my weigh in!

Yeah, we had our first session today. It's really lovely there and there is so much to do. There is a gym and pool of course as well as jacuzzi's, sauna and steam rooms. There are tennis courts and squash courts and golf courses and lots of fitness classes to choose from. It's set in a really pituresque location beside a beautiful lake where you can hire a boat to go sailing and there are lots of cycle routes and there is a nature reserve there as well. It's lovely. My DF and I do not go away on holiday very often so we felt it was appropriate to have a lovely place that we can go to in order to escape the stresses of every day life and spend time together. One of the things about it that appealed to us most was that it doesn't get very busy - we aren't very keen on crowds. We spent time there today and it was really lovely. I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated now.

I'm sorry things haven't been so great for you lately. I hope you feel better soon. I think you are doing the best possible thing at the moment. I have bee in your position before and there is nothing worse than sitting around with nothing to do and feeling sorry for yourself. It just makes you feel depressed. I did what you did when I was out of work for a while - after moping around at first, lol - and it really does do wonders. I think it is good to focus on something positive within yourself but of course setting some time apart in order to focus on finding a job would be an advantage

I am so with you on all of that. I've been stalled for a while also and when I signed up for this challenge I was 147lb. A few days ago when I weighed myself I was at 149! Thankfully after getting myself back on plan the last few days - and due, thankfully, to TOM - today I was 146.6. So hopefully by WI I'll have lost a couple of pounds. Here's hoping anyway! Good luck, hun!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for checking in so late in the game here, but better late than never, right? I am really excited because this is my first challenge and I really want to see the impact that it can have on me if I'll let it and stick to it. As far as calories are concerned, I think that right now I am going to shoot for 1800-2000 and start out with 30 minutes of aerobic exercise. I HATE exercising (scratch that, the exercise wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to sweat because I HATE sweating!) but I figure by doing 30 minutes a day, I shouldn't get completely bored or burnt out. Who knows, I might surprise myself and find out that I actually like this sweating business...

Ladies,

Just to let you know, I did go and edit some of your starting weights on the weigh in format because they have to match the number I originally had when you signed up for the challenge. Many of you have lost weight and that's great. It just means you don't change your starting weight, you just get to have a nice loss for the first week of weigh ins this week. Remember to post your weigh in by 10pm AST on Sunday evening.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Hi all!

I'm way overdue checking in but I've been lurking all week. Between the holiday on Mon and TOM showing up on Wed this week has really been a struggle for me. I have to admit to eating way too much and not exercising nearly enough.

On the upside, I'm feeling better today. (no cramps) And my appetite is back to normal so I'm no longer in danger of eating the entire contents of my fridge.

Here's to praying I can reverse some of the damage from earlier in the week and not have to post a huge gain.

Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Hey everyone! I almost forgot I signed up! Ive been out of town for the past week and a half, sick, and pretty much out of my mind! haha I have only participated in the 20-somethings BL challenges and soooo excited to start this one!

I've been on my journey since October and have been fluctuating around a 50lb lost. The weight-loss really slowed down ALOT after the holidays and I finally got back into a good routine last month. Im hoping that after Im home from being out of town I'll get it moving down again...Im just trying NOT to gain at the moment! lol
