Morning gals! Let's make it a goal to stay OP this first weekend of 2009. How are you going to accomplish that?

Me - I have my meals mostly planned out with some leeway if I change my mind (as I often do!). I will run tonight and Sunday during the day and will be doing yoga on Saturday morning. The beasties (dogs) will be walked all three days also. I'm cleaning the house this evening also. Like Rhonda I do so much better when things are neat and clean!

I'm on plan so far today. Can't wait to start this challenge. Everyone seems to be of the same mind on that.

Rhonda, I'm sure you'll do amazing things in your kitchen. If you come across a great recipe, please share them. Our whole family is vegetarian and I'm always on the look out for new dishes. Too bad the clementines were so expensive. I've been buying them for about $5 over the holidays but they go right back up to about $7 or $8 the rest of the year. So I buy as many as we can eat this time of year. Tangerines are good though.

Dixied, I'm in size 10 pants, too for the first time in over 30 years. I know how thrilled you are at that size. Congratulations.

Whee, another weekend! It's hard for me to believe that it's a weekend tomorrow because of all the days off lately - but hey, I am not complaining!

I haven't had much of an appetite this week due to some stupid stressful nutso stuff going on at home. I've been making sure that I make it to my minimum daily points level each day, though, because I know I need to be taking care of myself to some degree. Tomorrow is my WW weigh-in, and I'm expecting quite a loss from last week... Though the pre-challenge question always is, do I post that weight for week 1, or wait til the end of next week when weights will be due before posting? Hmmmmmmm.....

Hope everyone has a great day, I need to get some work done for once!

Hey all . . .

Jaime - I'm going back to school to get my RN. And I DO NOT want to be a FAT nurse!!

Dee - Awesome pic!! Look how much your face has changed!! Whoo-hoo!!

Well, I did it. I sucked it up and got on the scale. I was up 8 pounds before Christmas and now I'm up 10!!! OMG!!! I thought about drinking water all day and weighing in tomorrow, but I'm not going to do it. I'm sticking with this weight in hopes that I'll have a nice loss my first week.

Ronda - Cool products!! I'd love some better body care stuff.

It's snowing . . . again! I know it sounds crazy but I actually enjoy shoveling snow. It's outside, it's a good calorie burn, and it's DIFFERENT.

Although I would never wish excess poundage on anybody, it was comforting to read that I am not alone in having slipped a LOT over the holidays.

WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Hey everyone. I hope you are all well. And having a great New Year. I finally located my scale. And kinda wish I hadn't. With my carelessness, I have managed to put 10 pounds back on. Ack! I know that some of that is fluid retention. But not all of it. So, I am back on track and I am more determined than ever to make this work. I need to get my momentum back and move forward from here. I am not going to beat myself up or feel guilty. It is what it is. And now, It will be different.

Tell you what, tho. This has taught me that I have a lot of work to do and a lot to learn. I have found that I can still slip right back into old, destructive habits as easily as ice cream slipped down my throat.

Food for thought.

I am really looking forward to this challenge starting. It will help give me the push I need to get back into my weight loss.

I need to read the rest of this thread when I get enough time. I want to catch up with everyone and see what is going on with all of you. I'll catch you all, later.

Hey, Rain Dancer. Good to see you again. I guess you won't have inlaws barging in when you exercise in your new place.

Cakses, what kind of presentation did you do? I must have missed that somewhere along the posts.

Well, my first day is almost over. Food intake was great but I didn't get my exercise done but I might get some done yet if I can get everyone out of the living room. I don't mind doing it in front of them but they can't chat over the music, ha, ha.

Happy 2nd!

It's exciting to see the starting weights coming in...there's over 100 now! Today I am SORE from my exercise yesterday, and HUNGRY from sticking to my calorie plan. But I am also HAPPY because I know that I am doing what is good for my body. I'll be exercising when I get home from work today!

I had to do a presentation for a job I applied for. They gave the candidates a project to do and that was part of our main interview. I think I nailed it, but the others have been on the job longer, so we'll see. Either way it was good to show my bosses my smarts

Today has started great. The scale is down 3.4 pounds since the 1st. Who would have thunk counting calories would work

I did my WATP video and have already consumed 32+ ounces of water for the day.

Breakfast and lunch are planned. I'm looking through the recipes now to find some inspiration.

What are YOU doing to stay on plan today?

In just a moment I'm going to the gym. I ran 8 miles yesterday and today is weight training. It's my first weight session in the new gym, so I'm excited to see what they have. When I was working on the treadmill last night I noticed a cool piece of equipment in the freeweight section that I want to try out. I'll see if I can find a picture of it to post.

Happy Saturday everyone, don't forget to post your starting weights!!

My WW weigh in is always on a Wednesday which sucks for posting weights so I never used that weight for weigh-in during the last challenge. Considering you've already posted your starting weight, I would probably 'weight' until next weeks weigh-in and post that number

Congrats on the -3.4 pounds!!! Strange how counting actually works isn't it?! Way to be on track already this morning!!

What are YOU doing to stay on plan today? I've already turned my hubby down on going out for breakfast.
I'm going to make sure to get my water intake in.
for exercise, not sure if I'll be able to make it to the gym today so I'll probably do Jillian Michael's game for the Wii at some point today.

I signed up for The Daily Plate/Livestrong yesterday to help me keep better track. I can also track on WW website, but that doesn't count calories. I think I do better with the calorie count than the points, but love the inspiration and support that I get from the meetings. I'll actually be keeping track of both points and calories I think this next WW session. It's double the work, but I am desperate to get into Onederland!!! I hit a number this morning that I don't remember seeing in 9+ years (partly because I didn't have a scale at that point but nonetheless) and it keeps motivating me to see that number keep dropping!!!
