Vanetta, I am so sorry to hear that about your family member. :( I'll be thinking of you and sending positive vibes. We'll sure miss you.

FCBG- Hope ya can find yourself a gel cover & LOL @ the smily!

melissa73, Good job teaching by the seat of your pants! :D I think you are going to be an excellent teacher. Think you can move here and be one of my kid's teachers? hehe Half the idiots here have NO business stepping foot into a school, much less "trying" to teach....

Tina, LOL @ The Holy Spirit...That was funny huh?....:dizzy:

BrokenButterfly, I like them 0 point - low sodium soups, but even though they say Low sodium, there's still a bunch in. and i don't know about the rest of you, but I don't eat just 1 serving, I eat the whole dang can, so it still adds up and makes it 2 points (not that I am doing WW anymore), and it's double the sodium....sigh... Same with the Smart Ones, lean cusines and so on, they are good, fill you up but are loaded with sodium, so all if you on WW, don't eat that stuff a couple of day's or so before weigh-in, and drink your water. :)

gaia2094, TRY THIS LINK

Here's what I did @ the GYM:
5k (HIIT) on the treadmill :D (55 minutes) 5 minute cool down.
15 minutes abs, crunches, lunges
15 minutes Weights, arms, chest, back, shoulders, legs.
5 minutes stretching.

 Hello Mel (our fearless Bully...oops, I mean leader, hehe), Muse, skinny, Cat, Jewel, mama2, MonteCristo, bjeweled, & everyone I missed.

I'm gonna do mel's fitness test tomorrow if I don't have cramps. :)

UGH! Cramps have kicked in. :(

gaia2094 04-30-2008 03:28 PM

Sorry this is so late, I have been so busy with finals coming up, but I wanted to introduce myself and let you know that I am here to work my butt off!
1. What would you like us to call you? Ella

2. What eating plan are you using? Counting calories

3. What is your favorite way to exercise? Anyway I can!! I love it, it’s just a matter of finding the time.

4. What is one area of weightloss that you struggle with? My craving for SUGAR.

5. What is one area of weightloss that you excel at? Exercise, I have always been active

6. What is your short term goal? 124 lbs by the end of May

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? Short shorts ;)

8. Best weight loss tip? Don’t ever give up.

9. Bob or Jillian? Either, Jillian is tough and I really like that but bob is smokin!

10. Tell us a little about yourself! I am 26 married with no kids (but 3 dogs). I teach college math while I am working on my PhD, hence the no time. I used to eat when I was stressed so I packed on 30 pounds. Now I am trying to find other ways to deal and lose those 30 and 10 more so that I am bikini ready by the end of June

So sometime between now and Sunday everyone needs to try and see how many (or how long) they can do of the following:

Pushups
Plank position
crunches
chair position
Balance on one foot with arms straight over head
Balance on the other foot with arms straight over head

all this is, is to set your starting point!

I just timed some of this last week, when I signed up for a free trial at Jillian's website. I just can't remember the times though. lol. I used the stopwatch setting on my cell phone to do it.
I'm in, I'll redo them and post the times. My pushups are modified, I like using my exercise ball.

I think I'll give it another go or two since so many people seem to like it. Of course gonna have to wait for bum recovery time :ebike: <- see doesn't even the smiley look like his butt hurts??!!!

You should be able to get them at any bike place... a couple places to check online are bikenashbar.com and performacebike.com you might even check target might have them.

I have one around here I no longer use, but I'm not sure where it is at the moment.

BTW it takes a few weeks but your butt will adjust even without the gel seat or padded bike shorts, but those comfort features make comfortable a lot sooner.

awww. Hey I have a 'red' mascot. Our german shepherd's name is Red because that's the color collar he had on when we picked him out. ;)
*I'd post his pic but it keeps coming out gigantic, even though I resized it on photobucket. :?:

Hello ladies! I have been terribly busy at work and I don't think it's going to let up anytime soon. I usually have about 7 hours a day down time at work, but I now have 2 or 3 special projects that are going to be keeping me busy for the next 6 weeks or so. I'm starting to feel the stress!

I've been so tired lately and it's been a little bit of a struggle to get up early to get my exercise in. I've been slacking off and only doing 20 min each morning instead of 30 minutes. I'm not sure it's slacking since the 20 minutes has been more intense than my 30 minute workouts are, but for whatever reason I feel like I'm slacking off. I believe that today is my day 4 OP which is better than I had been doing since the last challenge ended.

I haven't gotten around to doing my challenge exercises yet or current pics and measurements. I may get a chance to do some of that this evening, I hope.

I don't even know where to start on any personals so I'm just going to do a few quick ones:

Vanetta - I'm sorry about your ill family member. You're in my thoughts!

Mama - I wish you a speedy recovery on your wrist!

Take care RED team and have a great evening!

Well, I'm doing the best I can considering the fun circumstances. I had to go to the emergency room for my mouth- red, swollen, can't open it much or chew at all. So I'm being careful with calories since the kind of soft foods that we have are mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Thank whoever for fruit smoothies!

 Gaia  what happened? Hope ya get to feeling better soon!!

I've caught up on all the posts, but I apologize for not being able to do any personals. Keep up the fantastic work ladies....I'll be back after my next meeting.

Vanetta I'm so sorry to hear about your family member!! I'll be adding your whole family to my prayer/well wishes list! Make sure you continue to take care of you if you do have to head out! Good healing thoughts coming your way!

Challenge looks great ladies,.... and I'd love to participate, but I can't do anything that involves using my left wrist as I've either broken it or sprained it really badly (go to the docs tomorrow), but right now I can't use it.

I know I can do at least 20 push ups, because I do them at Karate twice a week. Can I participate in the challenge doing everything else???

Just do whatever you can! plank, chair, crunches, balance you call all do without your wrists, I hope you feel better soon and its nothing too serious!

This is a fantastic idea!! I struggle getting in my veggies too! My youngest dd makes REALLY good zero point soup too!

Photobucket was giving me issues with resizing too, what I figured out was after you resize it, first make sure you are viewing the pic at 100% so you see the exact size. And then when you go to save it pops up to ask you if you want to override or save new...chose the save new option, the override doesnt keep the resize for some reason. See if that doesnt work, we want to see all our mascots!!
