You could actually just skip the FF cream cheese if ya wanted, one of the ladies at my WW meetings does it that way because they dont like cream cheese. But you could certainly try to sub!

I'll take whatever I can get!

And, most importantly, my husband said that my butt is looking more round and muscular. :D After that, who cares what the scale says?!?

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

Just popping in for a quick hello. Another POP day (so far) for me.

Prayers and positive thoughts going out to those in need of them!

It sounds like most of our team is doing well staying OP this week :D Let's rock the exercise challenge for the rest of the week. Can we get at least 80% of our team exercising and earning a badge? Let's give it a go!
:cheer:

Hi everyone. Hope you are all having a great day. I am going to need to withdraw from the challenge, as I will need to have surgery on my knee to repair some torn ligaments/cartilage and will be out of commission for several weeks. But good luck to all of those still participating and I hope you kick some butt and WIN THAT WEIGH IN!!
Hugs,
Tara

Deli sliced ham, fried (I buy the really really thin kind and use 2 slices which is less than 20 calories depending on the type) (0pts)

On the toasted muffin, spread the LC cheese, top with the egg and ham. It is creamy, warm and delicious! ~4pts total for one sandwich

That sounds absolutely yummy! I am going to have to try that for breakfast tomorrow. Don't have any LC cheese though but I do have Cabot's 75% reduced fat cheddar. I love that stuff! I use the Thomas' light english muffins that have 8 grams of fiber. I have never seen the brand you mentioned.

 So sorry to hear about the torn ligaments/cartilage. Good luck with the surgery. I had Orthoscopic done on my left knee 4 years ago. It :censored: You can still take part by doing upper body workouts ;) Hopping around on crutches is exercise enough ;) Make sure to keep working out and go to physical therapy after your surgery, it will help in the long run. The only time I can tell that I had knee surgery is when I try to do lunges, otherwise there is no problem with it. Think about staying in and not dropping out.

Just thought I would post on my day. I would love to be able to read everyone's posting but there are just so many of them!

I stayed OP today so that was a good thing. Didn't get my lazy behind out of bed to exercise this morning but I did walk 3 miles after dinner. This week is a break between semesters so I am taking it easy. I was so glad to see the exercise challenge posted. I want all 15 of those badges! I got the stuff at the craft store to make my red bracelet. Now I just need to get it made.

While we are sharing healthy recipes, I thought I would share about my newest favorite cookbook. My 10 year old son is the pickiest eater ever. So I picked up a copy of "The Sneaky Chef" which I highly recommend. All sorts of recipes for sneaking in fruits and veggies, and your kids will never know. So I made a pan of healthy brownies that have spinach and blueberries in them. Sounds disgusting, doesn't it? But you can't taste them. Those brownies are so good! With whole wheat flour and wheat germ, they have a fair amount of fiber and are still fudgy. The best part --- my son ate them. I got my son to eat spinach! Woo-hoo! Score one for mom! I am going to have to figure up the calories on them. The recipe makes 30 though so I am figuring they aren't too bad. I have to have some sort of dessert at the end of the day. I am a chocoholic. My favorite healthy dessert so far is chocolate tofu pudding. (It makes good fudgecicles too.) Mix 1 block silken tofu, 1 banana, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, and 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey in a food processor. My husband doesn't like bananas but he will eat this. The banana really just adds to the creaminess. You can't really taste it.

Hope everyone is doing well! Let's kick some butt on this exercise challenge!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Jen

208 more miles to NC!

Idealmuse 04-30-2008 10:21 PM

Hi girls - so for the exercise challenge I blew out 180 miles already today. Guess that's the nice thing about my training I'll have no trouble meeting the mile goals.

I swam for an hour freestyle (2100 yards)
I walked for an hour to/from the pool (4miles)
and I biked for an hour (probably 12-14miles)

I'm pooped!

shelby897 04-30-2008 10:28 PM

Tara -- so sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery -- take care and heal quickly!!

There is no way at this point I can ever keep up with the rest of you -- you are quick typer/readers :D -- but I will at least drop in and check out the team as much as I can!!

Today was an excellent day -- because the scales went into the garbage can!!!:dizzy: I had a bad week but this one (and every one after that) will be good, because I can't be scale obsessed if there aren't any -- one weigh in a week at WW will have to do -- because if I can weigh at home and do well -- I eat, do bad -- I eat -- cant lose weight that way!!

Hope everyone had an awesome day -- got back from son's baseball game at 8:30 -- got everyone showered and in bed by 9:30 and still had time in between to do my treadmill and didn't even consider blowing it off -- I must be moving in the right direction!!:dizzy:

ThisTimeIsDifferent 04-30-2008 10:43 PM

Hey everyone  I can't keep up with all of the posts...LOL! And I certainly don't have enough time to read everyone's posts..Too many :dizzy:!

Sorry I haven't been on much last night and today. I pulled a muscle in my lower back:s: when I was working out:woops: yesterday. It hurts sooooooooo bad! I've been taking Advil and TRYING to get some rest. I'm right on plan though. I still exercised today. It probably wasn't a good idea but I just had to or else I would of felt really bad or like something was missing out of my day. I went out to dinner:hun: with my family. I had seafood, and I stayed within my calories. Actually I was under in my calories. I ate light today because I knew I was going out, and the restaurant doesn't have nutrition postings so I kinda had to guess. I did use my trusty biggest loser complete calorie book (I don't know were I'd be without it!)

Anyway....I just wanted to check in with everyone. Again i'm sorry I didn't read all of the posts. Theres just too many to read. I'm going to take another Advil and head to bed. Please wish me get better vibes for my aching back...Thanks so much! :comp:

Hun.e.B 04-30-2008 11:05 PM

Get better vibes coming your way Lonnie!! I hope you feel better very soon!!

melissa73 04-30-2008 11:12 PM

Good evening ladies,

It's late so this has to be quick. I stayed 100% OP today. I followed the healthy 8's 100% too. I did my cardio kickboxing class and there is no way I can try any of those challenge exercises....OMG I am so sore from earning my 13 aps yesterday and the sadistic cardio kickboxing instructor (LOVE HIM). Hopefully I'll be able to move tomorrow other wise I'll have to wait until Friday or Saturday to get my challenge numbers!

Hope you all have a great day and I'll check back in tomorrow! XOXO Goodnight!

Shy Moment 04-30-2008 11:25 PM

Sorry I have been so busy. Someone had a sore mouth hope you are feeling better. Just haven't had time to post to everyone, sorry. Hope everyone is doing well and the scale is moving in the direction you want it to. Son has minor surgery tomorrow to have a cyst removed from his tail bone. Hope to be back on tomorrow night. Will try to catch up then.

csChick 04-30-2008 11:34 PM

Hi everybody! It's been crazy around here, so I'm just now getting around to introducing myself. I'm looking forward to this challenge. Good luck to everybody!

1. What would you like us to call you? cs or cschick

2. What eating plan are you using? I log all my food intake in the FitDay program. I basically just watch my calorie intake.

3. What is your favorite way to exercise? Hiking, mountain biking, in the gym I like the elliptical machine.

4. What is one area of weightloss that you struggle with? I get bored with exercise easily, so some days it's very easy to talk myself out of doing it. Sugar cravings.

5. What is one area of weightloss that you excel at? Keeping my calorie count in line.

6. What is your short term goal? My short term goal is to get under 300 lbs.

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? Well, I will have lost 60 pounds at that point, so I will probably buy a few new clothes. Mine are getting a bit baggy at this point.

8. Best weight loss tip? Make sure no one is trying to sabotage you, get them involved too.

9. Bob or Jillian? Bob is great, but I think Jillian would be great at getting me to exercise.

10. Tell us a little about yourself! I have one boyfriend and two dogs.

jelynn 04-30-2008 11:51 PM

Cute pups Kelly! My grandpa always had blue heelers- he was a cattle rancher.

Sorry to hear about your surgery, Tara- hope you heal quickly.

Well, another 100% OP day down! I was tired all day, but managed 45 minutes of walking this afternoon (and my cleaning job is a cardio workout too!) I'm hoping to be asleep in the next few minutes and get a good 8+ hours of sleep tonight. Tomorrow is a t-tapp day and I've been walking to meet my boys after school so will get some exercise minutes there too.

thanks for the yummy recipes too- definitely doing to try them!
'night!

just stopped in from working out with Jillian frontside. It's a killer for me! Barely got through it -- and it's only the beginner version :o
