I took my starting measurements and did my challenge exercises last night. As I was thinking about my exercises later (whining because I was sore! :)), it dawned on me that squats and/or lunges weren't included. Not that I'm complaining! I may try one or the other for my own personal challenge.

So far I'm eating on plan today. There were a few goodies left in the breakroom today from yesterday and I didn't even look at them! :carrot:

Good Morning Red Darlings!!

TGIF, y'all! This weekend I'm pet sitting for friends. They've got four dogs! I'll be getting my workout in walking them!

Speaking of workouts....I am having trouble getting in gear to do it! My main excuse right now is being too tired when I get home from work. I know even doing 30 minutes makes me feel better. How do I motivate myself to do even just that much?

jeweliek 05-02-2008 10:07 AM

I finished the Exercise Challenge. Do I post my numbers or is it something I just keep and try to get better next time??

Just wondering what to do with them.

There was SPAM and I missed it? And it was about picking on cheerleaders? Dang, being on the West Coast stinks some times.

Morning Ladies.....Happy Friday to Ya....

All those with computer problems...I have a theory...computers are what is wrong with this world. Think about it, back in the day when we didn't have instant access to news 24/7, life was simple...ignorance is bliss.

{Reminder - working with computers has put kibble in the bowl for the past 25 years}

I always forget that part.....ANYWAY...it is going to be quiet here on the ranch today, so many of my co-workers have taken today off I'm wondering if it's a holiday that nobody told me about. Speaking of holidays, did you know that in India every religious holiday is celebrated nationwide? I'm getting more details on that as I have alot of questions.

Diva...what's an iggy button? (...thank goodness for the iggy button feature.)

I was in a meeting yesterday (one of the few they actually got me to attend...I have a theory on meetings also...) BUT...the meeting was right after lunch and someone brought the leftover half of a pizza and someone else brought a candy bowl. When they passed everything around to me, I just moved it on by, which apparently offended the person who brought the candy. After some jovial banter, I said "I'm 4 lbs away from losing 100 lbs, the candy isn't worth it." This led to a brief chat about how they were wondering about my weight loss, but didn't want to ask. One person asked about my surgery (6 people in our building have had lap band surgery in the past 3 years)...imagine the shocked looks when I told them I hadn't had any surgery. Now do you see why I don't like meetings? That is 15 min of my life that I will never get back.

Yippeee on the weight loss and the new found muscles ! ! !

Ok, I'm off to get more hot tea.

Good afternoon everyone. Hope everyone is having a great day.

My flu is being very stubborn. I havent been able to do much exercise because I'm coughing every few minutes, (and it hurts! :( ) and if I'm not coughing, I can't breathe because of my nose. Ugh. Hopefully next week I'll be able to pick it up.

I noticed people posting pics of Red Team mascots..here's my contribution! :D Everyone, meet Bailey!

When you are looking at peoples profiles, there's a link under their pic (if they have one up) that say's add to friends/Ignore list. I have used it a few times. ;)

I have alot of motivation problems when it comes to exercise. I find that what helps me is that when I get home from work, I change clothes and go work out. I don't sit down and relax. I just go do it. If I think about it too long I will talk myself out of doing it.

It also helps if you can find something you sort of like doing. My bf and I have started hiking every weekend. It's easy to get in 3 or 4 hours of exercise in a single day, and it's actually enjoyable. :D I even wear my heart rate monitor when we're hiking to make sure my pulse is elevated enough to make it count as "exercise".

Karen - Do you want to check in with each other on Monday? Maybe if I have someone to "report" to then I might think twice about my bad decisions!

jeweliek 05-02-2008 12:59 PM

Have you ladies seen that there is a exercise challenge. You have to exercise a number of minutes to get your miles to a destination. That is motivational. I am trying to get from DC (everyone starts there) to NC. It is 238 miles so I have to exercise 238 minutes to get a badge that says I made it.

It is in the Biggest Loser Challenges under Exercise Challenge. Check it out!

That would be great! One of my bigger problems is not eating enough or not eating enough and then binging because I have not eaten. I'm continuing my painting the bedroom project this weekend, but I'm going to force myself to stop and eat healthy instead of skipping meals or opting for the less healthy convenience foods. I also really need to focus on drinking more water or decaf tea than diet pop. Those are my goals for this weekend. I'll definitely be checking in with you on Monday morning!

G mornin!
Just got home in the wee hours from my road trip- very long day!! (so many stops to make!)
I did stop at Costco and get lots of healthy stuff to make my meals with.....
I weighed in this morning and it said I lost 4 lbs on my holiday!! I dont think the scale is right, so I will check with another one before posting my weight...

Hello to everybody!

Fat Chick B Gone 05-02-2008 01:57 PM

Hey girls just popping in to say Hi. I just got back from a (too) long lunch. It's hard going out to eat but I just had the most delicisous salad. Grilled pears with mixed greens and red onions. I got the goat cheese and dressing on the side and only used about a tablespoon of each. Who knew grilling a pear would be so yummy??!!

You'll need to post your numbers so I can put a badge in your badge log.

(I'm not sure if you've already done it cause I haven't checked the exercise thread yet :dizzy:)

When next week starts on Sunday, a Week 2 thread will be made and you can post your numbers for week 2 there. ;)
