Happy Birthday Chellez!!!!

Sorry I've been MIA the last few weeks ~ I've been traveling and haven't had the time to even check in! Now that I'm home I seem to have a touch of the flu......

Good news is: I lost 3 lbs. this week! And have now lost a total of 11 pounds! Since both of my freebie weeks have been used up, I will definitely give it my all these last few weeks! I really feel like I've been slacking big time on my exercising so I might need a big kick in the butt to get going again! I'm going to read some of you girls' past posts for some motivation!

You girls know how to kick butt!!!

Go Blue Team!!!!

Problem is I missed a lot of class when I was sick and the school is watching me!

My little glitch is I haven't gotten my homework done and class starts in 2 hours. Work has really been keeping me busy today. I'm thinking about playing hookie but my mind is telling me that I'm gonna get in serious trouble if I do!

Happy Birthday Chellez!

Rhonda--so proud of you getting lacing up the tennies and gettin' moving...how did it go today? Are you sore?

I am doing well today...tomorrow is my WI I think I have a 1 lb. loss for this week, maybe a little more. I've been tossing around the same 2 lb. for a few weeks now, so it is nice to be moving in the right direction now. Does anyone else tend to make some progress then maintain for a short period before moving on? I have kind of stalled out about every 15 lb...it's not necessarily a plateau because it's ME causing it to happen. I just get content, and sit pretty until I get mad at myself and and get going again. At least I know how to maintain, but I"m wondering if I'll be doing this all along the way probably?

Welcome back, Sara. 11 pounds is great!

GL tonight in class, Chellez.

Have fun with DH, Dionne!

Anna - pics of the big hair, please! How cool that you're singing. What kind of group?

Rhonda!! How are you knees today.

I've chickened out of the C25K for now. I just really was aprehensive about my knees and I'm in a good place with my cardio and weight training right now and don't want to mess that up with an injury. I will revisit the idea of starting it when I'm maybe 25 pound less. I know when I started at around 200 last time there was no problems. That was 10 years ago and now I'm 37 so it's a whole new ballgame!

Ellie - Way To Go on fitting into a smaller dress! Feels so nice!

I'm so behind today. At least I got a good workout - cardio and lower body - in today. I finally fit into these super cute workout pants (ok, as cute as XL pants can be!) from Lucy. Is that a NorthWest store only? If not I highly recommend them for good quality and super cute workout clothes. Since I spend so much time in workout clothes I prefer to have them be stylish.

Oh yeah, I did 6 minutes on the StairMill today! The platform was drenched with sweat dripping off my face and I need to buy some waterproof mascara if I intend to keep this up.

Well, off to rummage something up for dinner. I think it'll be talapia tonight.

*raising her hand*
I'm experiencing something similar this time. I lose a small amt for a couple-few weeks and then drop a big number about 1 week out of the month. All total I've lost a little over 25 pounds in 3 months. So overall it's fine.

Hi Ladies!
TOM is here and I want to kick his butt!!

Anyway, I have about 30 days until my test and right after I am going to visit my family in Texas. I really want to lose my double chin at least by that time. I want to be able to take awesome pics with my nephews and not have to be sad about how my face looks.
This will be my 3rd day without sweets (desserts). I am really excited about it and Weighed in at 168 which is lovely.

Good morning and Happy Friday!

I only have a couple of minutes as I have a too full workday. Just wanted to touch base and let you all know that I'm still on-plan and I did another hour on the treadmill last night. I'm planning on having another great on-plan day and do another hour on the treadmill this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day. I'll get "personal" later

How about another question of the day?

So far, what health benefits have you obtained from your new lifestyle changes? What improvements have you seen in your daily life?

Thank you ladies so much for the happy birthday wishes yesterday!

I was very busy with work and trying to get my homework done. Thankfully I got both chapters done for last night so now I just have to work on the rest of the stuff for next week over the weekend. I have a make up mid term on Monday and a final on tuesday with a project due that same night!

My weekend is pretty much set with birthday celebration. Daniel's family is coming over tonight for a party at my house. Nothing big just the cake and ice cream jazz. My family is coming into town tomorrow to take me out for dinner and we are going to Carraba's my all time favorite. Then Sunday is my day to really buckle down and get school work done for the term.

We are supposed to have a party next Thursday for my birthday / my teacher's new job. I got stuck with sweets... Looks like I need to hit up splenda for some good recipes that aren't too crazy.

I'll probably take a freebie week this week cause I'm positive I'm gonna gain. Don't need to be hurting my team like that!

I'll be back later!

Hi peeps. Been a strange week. Not doing too hot. Overwhelmed still which really makes me mad bc last challenge I was fine. Didn't have all this going on and could do well. Very hard to even maintain right now. Scary. Doesn't help that I have these weird image problems where I really am scared to lose and be 'normal' weight because my family treats me wayyy differently and other ppl do too and it's just alot to take in. Gotta try to find some books on that or something.

Hugs to you all, Selina

My blood pressure is down, which consideing my DH is a Paramedic and was having a stroke over how high it was when he had to take it at the center for me because the automatic one wouldn't work on me, is a good thing.

I had to take the stairs this morning because the elevator is broken in our building this morning. I usually avoid the stairs in the morning because I am carrying stuff, but I made it up and wasn't even a little winded (I guess 77 lbs less to drag up the stairs is a good thing)

I can carry my DS for more than a few seconds. This was something I hated to not be able to do since soon he won't want to be carried and held.

I also feel better about myself. I still realize I have A LOT to go, but I feel better in the clothes I wear. I enjoy dressing for work since I can wear Professional Dress Clothes, and not worry so much about "Do they stretch". I am enjoying shopping for clothes again (which is probably a bad thing for my wallet)

I would have to say, I am starting to like me again, and that is the best feeling. To have found that person I really liked, was simply hidden under layer of fat.

Someone at work said to me that this is my year. the QOTD yesterday was about comfort zones. It took me a while, but I think I finally realized that I was in a rut with my work, because it was a comfort zone (i.e. I could do it in my sleep). An opportunity came to my attention and I thought it might be above my skill level, but I put myself out there and it turns out that I was exactly what they were looking for for this high visibility job.

So Rhonda, regarding my answer to yesterdays, question I want to update it to say that losing weight has helped me step out of my comfort zone, and thank you for asking the question and making me think about it.

I had some dental work this morning & the dentist hit a nerve in my jaw with the numbing shot. Now that it's worn off, it REALLY hurts to open my mouth at all (though having it totally closed doesn't hurt a bit - DH is gonna love this ). The dentist said use heat packs and ibuprofen and "take it easy." No idea how that's gonna help. Anyway, perhaps this is good, all I can eat is applesauce or yogurt for now at least.

I'm eating way more vegetables (and fruits sometimes ) than I normally would. When I'm hungry, I'm tending to think, "What's the healthiest option available?" rather than "What sounds good?" I'm learning that if I go with 'healthy' first, I'll feel better later (both emotionally and physically).

Or not! Mine wouldn't be too happy about it. Ok, mind out of the gutter... Sorry you're in pain.

Busy at the office today. BBL to catch up though.
