Hey, Diva..I just cut the sweet potatos up in slices (I like the skins left on), put in a foil lined pan (easy clean up), dribble with olive or canola oil, flip after about 10 minutes and that is it. I'm a minimalist in the kitchen (= not a very adventurous cook), so I like simple stuff that comes out well every time. The tomatoes are done the same way...and they are soooo good.
Off to bed. I feel excited and happy to be in this group. xo choosie. |
Coolbeans! Thank you, I think I am going to try that this week. :) I like simple things too. Hugs:hug:

Happy Monday Blue Crew!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I was so busy with the boys and family I didn't get a chance to check in. Happy to report I'm down another 2 pounds this week!!! Choosewell, congrats on the 5K. I did one last weekend and it kickstarted the walking bug in me! I've been on fire all week! I wish I could do one every week and have everyone cheer me on!! We found a great walking trail by the lake near my in-laws and burned some calories on Saturday evening. I made AMAZING fajitas on the bar-b-q on Saturday. Probably the best I've ever had (restaurants included) and they are low fat to boot! I will post the recipe if anyone is interested. Have a great day! |
Morning Everyone.
The painting must burn calories.. I was down almost 3 lbs from Friday WITH Aunt Flo making a visit. Since I'm still loosing they added more food onto my stabilization plan so I now get an extra 1/2 Protein and day and an extra fat.. yahoo. Looking forward to making a hamburger that is bigger than a golf ball :) Hope you all have a good week.. home renos continue so I'll check in when I can. Keep up the great work everyone!!! |
Good morning ladies! Well our weekend was great! My husband and I went out all day Sat. to celebrate our anniversary, and it was wonderful to just be the two of us! It was such a nice day, so we went to the zoo, outlet mall, and then dinner. We were going to see a movie, but the both of us were ready to drop so we just headed home at about 10:00. It was a great day, and very relaxing. Yesterday we went to my dad's to pick up a boat he is letting us use. My husband is so excited!!! It's like watching a little kid in a candy store. He really enjoys fishing though and being on the water so this is right up his alley, and its a nice little boat. I could totally picture myself in my suit with a book laying up front reading! :beach: Today I am back on plan with the eating and exercise. It was pretty much a weekend celebration over here but back on track and going to kick butt this week. :boxing: I have my sons baseball game tonight and that's about it so a pretty chill day. Have a wonderful Monday ladies!
Chellez- I think the honeymoon is the best part out of the whole deal! I mean after all that work and stressing out you get to just relax and enjoy being married without all the worries! It's getting close! :flow2: SassyKay- Great job on the loss! Keep up your good work!;) Stilllovecartoon- Congrats on beating the food demons! That is really something to be proud so give yourself a pat on the back! Babygrant- Good luck on your mid-terms!:book2: This is a really stressful time for you I'm sure! Jeylnn- Holy Cow what a great loss! 5.2 loss that is FANTASTIC!!! :bravo: Candle- Congrats on your loss...2.6 is wonderful! Keep it up hun! :cp: KrispieD- Great job on your loss this week! 3lbs that is great! :carrot: Good luck with the house renovations! ;) Choosewell- A big congrats to you! That is a fantastic accomplishment so hats off to you! :celebrate: I bet you feel great! I am not a fish eater at all, but people tell me to try it all the time! I will be a big girl someday and try it! I am like a kid sometimes I swear! I do love sweet potatoe fries though! I put a little seasoning on mine and the whole family eats them! Well ladies lets have a kick butt week! Heres :crossed: hoping for a Blue Victory this week! |
Morning Chicas!
I figured I'd wait a little bit to make sure everyone was awake and had there cup of coffee before I make my long post that is my Monday post! :coffee: First off.... We have some nice losses this week! :goodscale I updated my chart this morning and we are looking at another good week this week! :yay: There are some people I'm still missing though, and it does look like we are losing 2 people next week (they got to use both freebie weeks but I think they forgot about the challenge!):dizzy: Anywho this is who I'm missing:
Second... the water challenge is going fantastic! If you haven't joined in on the fun, make sure you check out the Swimming with the fishes thread. :swim: Third... the exercise challenge should be up either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes me to finish the company books today and how long it takes for Melissa to approve it. Other than that keep up the great work and make sure to drink your H2O! --------------------------------------------------------- Ok so now here's what I've been up to since I've been super MIA. Really the whole allergy thing made me want to crawl into a whole last week. So thats the main reason I've been gone. I was super lazy this week and I didn't go to class Thursday because I felt so bad. I didn't plan my meals, I wasn't drinking water, I was just existing in a numb state that I sometimes go into. I wouldn't call it depression, cause I wasn't sad, I just didn't want to do anything. I just wanted to go to work and get that over with then go home. So because of this numb state, my diet also suffered. I wouldn't say it was a complete catastrophe because I did make sure to log my food diary and track points, but I actually went into my 35 allowance points this week and it's only my second week on WW. Now I know it's ok to do this, but I told myself I needed to not do it because I would continue to do it and stall my loss. I think my worst night was last night when I had a plate of spaghetti and then baked brownies for Daniel and I had to have one. I could have kicked myself for that :kickbutt: Well now it's Monday and I don't weigh in for week 3 until tomorrow thankfully! I have made a new promise to myself that I'm going to start planning everything a week in advance so that I don't let myself trip up again! I want to atleast maintain this week if nothing else, so I plan on drinking triple the amount of water I normally drink (that's about 192 ozs of water a day) and I want to eat a lot of salads and veggies for the next few days. Hopefully this will flush out my nasty carbs and sugars I had over the weekend.:dizzy: Another thing I need to start doing is exercising. This week I'll get my flyer about moving more so hopefully the exercise challenge will help. Guess we'll jump that hurdle when I get to it! :woops: ---------------------------------------------------- :yay: Personals Time! :yay: Jen - I don't think I could ever get in as much exercise as you do! 23,000 steps! I'd be on the floor before I got that far! :tread: choosie - :goodluck: on that accounting homework! I'm in business management this term and in a few weeks I start Accounting I. I'm so scared! :stress: Thankfully after this upcoming term I only have one class because it will be drifting into time for the wedding! *cue horror music* :fr: Which reminds me.... next weekend I buy my dress! :congrat: on finishing that 5K! Alisa - :bravo: on beating that food enemy! I normally would have grabbed a smartones... but we need to get moving to the grocery store! Guess I'll have to look at money this week... the week after rent is usually hardest for us. Kay - :high: on the 2 pound loss! Krispie - wow! You're still losing! Isn't that what you want though? to get to 149? I dunno maybe I'm confused. :dizzy: Congrats on your loss anyway! Tina - I'm so ready for the honeymoon! We are using a timeshare from my boss since he gave that to us as a wedding gift. We're also going to stay at the hermitage hotel which is like super nice. You can go look at some of it here. Well I hear the boss coming! Better run and get those books done! :dizzy: |
i will post my weight later this morning after i go weigh in... i didn't forget.
|
 Sorry about that Michelle....
I meant glitterlicious and Miss Hawthorne had forgotten about the challenge! :p |
Wow, Kristen, I'm in super-envy mode over your extra dairy, hah!
And choosie, a 5K? I'm in awe of you! :D Great job! :woohoo: to all of you losers! And I'm happy to be among you this week...am down 2 pounds! :D |
FABU ladies!!! fffaaabbbbuuuu!!!
lots of losers last week! I was only down 1 lb but a loss is a loss and this week.. wooooooo I am feelin pumped already So I have been doing a ton of squats and lunges this week and boy are my legs feeling it.... oh and did I mention that I have a HUGE staircase in my house that has 18 stairs that go STRAIGHT IT *it feels*!!!!!! so try tacklin those babies first thing in the morning ....good googly moogly... but I refused to sit out a morning work out so I found an activity that would get my heart rate up and get me sweating but put less impact on my legs.... I watched celebrity fit club and high stepped marched in place with hand weights at a medium pace and then during commercial breaks I took it up a notch into a still jog and kept my weights goin quick...wow... I feel great.... I need that constant reminder about how great I feel after a workout as opposed to the feeling of....damnit... I SHOULD HAVE worked out feeling.... so thanks to everyone for the congrats on my food porn turn down!! I feel great and appreciate all the support and good luck to everyone this week!! |
well i went and WI this morning and i've almost lost all of the TOM weight... up 0.2 from last week...but down 4lbs from TOM bloating.. sheesh! and i'm still feeling the effects of auntie flo... next week will be better... sorry gals.

chellez~ i was like that last year we would walk downtown to the park and back (about 2 -3 hours both ways combined) i wpould be down for the count for the next few days but over winter I have built up my stamina using the gazelle. Yearter day with my exercises and the walk to the hardware store i had a about 35 000.
wrongway~ ain't aunt flow a pain you think you are making gains (or should I say losses) then she is right back again! |
stilllovecartoonsyour posts crack me up. The use of your words make me laugh. Thanks for that :)
This morning I got up and had 2 turkey sausages, a small bowl of all bran with skim milk and 1/2 grapefruit. Then I loaded my 45 pound and 23 pound boys into the stroller and walked 1/2 hour down to the park. We played for about 20 minutes then had a picnic. I ate 1/2 PB&J sandwich, a few strawberries and a whole bunch of chopped up veggies. Played for another 20ish minutes then loaded them back into the stroller and we came back home. Got home, got them down for a nap and did 20 minute Turbo Jam Cardio Party! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: |
