Steph I really had no idea at all about the water thing.. you learn something new everyday.. glad to see teh scale has went down for you..

Just saw a commerical with a girl in a bikini.. I would love to feel comfortable in a bikini even when I reach goal.. I guess it is all about attitude I just wouldn't feel comfortable.. I prefer a 1 piece and I like the 50 style swimwear

Hey guys, alcohol in moderation, is allowed. It says so in the book. It goes on to say that if you drink alcohol, you are going to burn the alcohol first, instead of fat. I gave up my sugar and my starches, but I'm keeping my alcohol The best part is that since I don't eat much food now, I can get drunk on only one drink.

On Sun., I have a family get-together at my Mom's house where pizza is going to be served. I already offered to bring a big salad, which I will eat as my main course, with some added tuna. I don't care about the food. You know why, because one of my coworkers told me today "You look so skinny" If I go off plan, it is going to be for something spectacular. . .Just like Globe said, we have worked so hard, I'm not throwing it all away for nothing.

I think if you drink lots of water you have to be sure to have enough salt in your diet too. I know if I start to get achey or tired or lightheaded I try to increase my salt...l I've never used a lot .. So it is a conscious decision to be sure to use more ..

Today I was running around and didn't get as much water in ... Will have to be super consious about it tomorrow..

Made the crack slaw recipe tonight - since hubs is away I could make it spicier - yum. I also used ground chicken instead of hamburger and it was great. And I still put extra Rooster Sauce on it (Sirachi sauce) ... Tomorrow I'm going to try a new recipe I saw for buffalo chicken meatballs - on salad sounds yummy to me too. And I can freeze the extra meatballs for when hubris away in a few more weeks ..

To give you all a laugh today - I went to get some pants for walking at the Rec. Center (it's on an elevated track and gets really hot from now till winter) I ended up with some capris (which I hate but I just won't look at myself when I wear them - especially when I put walking shoes and socks on lol) but I tried on some shorts ... ACCCKKKKK I won't be wearing them - probably not ever again .. My legs are hideous ... Lumpy bumpy saggy - and bruised because I'm always bruised - I guess I will be looking for sleeveless dresses I can wear different
t-shirts under ..... I stood in the dressing room going oh no no no no no and laughing ....

Hoping to lose another lb before Memorial Day - I want to hit 80 lost ..

So not looking forward to next weekend - living in a tourist area it means no parking in town and lots and lots of traffic - a trip that normally takes 20 minutes can take an hour from next weekend on.. But I hope they spend lots of money this year - lots of friends in retail and the stores can all use the boost.

I have to woohoo on the coworker comment as well for ya serenity

Serenity you have loast 21 pounds that is great.. you are doing well

rho you know sometimes I'm often tired out of the blue and I eat enough so I know it isnt that so maybe it could be the water.. I'm limiting myself to 4 liters a day and not to go over that.. rho I lived in a tourist town so I feel your pain

we have 9 more days until memorial day and I'm aiming for 1 more pound... I've made my goal but if I can lose one more that would be great!!!

Keep up the good work everyone

Thanks for the compliments guys. I lost another pound today, making my total for the challenge so far 8 lbs down. But while looking over my stats I noticed that I only lost 2 lbs during the month of May. I know why, because I have made freaking excuses every day why I don't go for my walk. First it was cause it was raining, then I was sick, and yesterday it was because I had a bad headache and I was tired. To quote Scarlett O'Hara "As God is my witness", I am going to walk every day or do an exercise CD inside! (starting tomorrow, cause today I have that wedding. )

On another note, I have been reading several discussions on this thread and 3FC concerning water. I found this webpage http://www.waterbenefitshealth.com/d...ight-loss.html which explains very simply how much water one should drink while trying to lose weight. It says 1/2 oz per lb you weigh. Ex if you weigh 180 lbs drink 90 oz. Lots of more info such as how your body processes the water, and easily explained.

Have a great Saturday, and keep on doing it!

have a ball at the wedding!

I am trying to do 500 steps minimum an hour if I don't get to walk at the Rec. Center - I actually have an alarm set to remind me - I must admit though that days like today it goes off and I ignore it for the most part because I'm on a cleaning roll and if I stop for more than a few minutes to have some coffee and check the computer lol I won't get back to it. Oh and I'm going to try to walk up and down the stairs a few times a day and build it up to more and more...I look for ways to add exercise that I can build up slowly and can do at home -- and I'm not going to count laundry stairs either

177.0 today! Nice to see another lower number So close to goal.

I feel like I'm getting a cold or something, my throat is sore. Earlier in the week I felt like I had a sinus infection. Not sure what I can do for a sore throat, might just have another cup of coffee haha.

Husband gets home tonight! And so do friends who are coming to see us They are coming up here to check out local areas for hiking and stuff. I didn't realise this, but they expect us to go hiking with them tomorrow! She told me it's a baby friendly spot. I don't know what they are thinking but I don't think my stroller will go where they want it too :P

I'm still here and Challenging with you All . . . it's just been "challenging" to get here lately lol

Still got the exercise down pat . . . but my carb level is more Maintenance amounts than weight loss. I stayed pretty low yesterday but determined to reach Induction levels starting 2day for that final push.

I really am trying to adjust mentally to be proud of my exercise (weights 3-4 days week and weekend bike rides) and proud that I am maintaining not gaining, ya know?

I haven't caught up on the Posts yet so will be back to chat - cleaning the basement (organize chaotic holiday mess) and storing winter away (finally) this afternoon - going on a sunset bike ride again tonight by the river - if the mosquitoes don't carry me off! They are already bad this year.

Aud, you should be very proud of your exercise! Maybe you should just count your calories a little closer and you will start losing.

I went for my walk today, no excuses, especially since the weather here today rates a perfect ten!

The wedding was loads of fun, I danced lots, so that must have burned some calories. And, did really well sticking to plan. I can't even explain the extravagance of Long Island Weddings, and the over abundance of food. First, there is a full buffet "cocktail hour" Then you go to the main room, where you start out with a salad, then they bring you a plate of pasta, then they bring you an "intermezzo" which is some lemon ice. Then you have your main course. But wait, then you go into a ROOM filled with cakes, ice cream, chocolate fountain for the Viennese Hour. Don't forget there is a full bar from the moment you get there to the moment you leave. I took 2 strawberries from the Viennese Hour, and that was it. I didn't even consider eating any of the other stuff. That is a NSV for me.

TTFN. Keep on doing it! We are all doing great.
