Thank You

I am hoping to be in decent shape for when my test comes up in September. I am getting pretty anxious. I am glad I got my books in really early. I also purchased the pretest and am glad I did.... OMG... the questions are more difficult than I thought they would be. At least they are not essay questions. Talk about subjective.

This morning I had scrambled eggs, 2 slices of bacon, and 2 sausage links.

Lunch ended up being at home and was tacos. I had 2 with 2 low carb tortillas.... I had to look really hard for them... the packaging changed.

Dinner is going to be a naked taco salad... just going to use up the leftovers tonight. I also bought some avocados... yummm!!

Tomorrow I have the on call in the morning and then I work at 530 tomorrow night. So I may be having all 3 meals and my snacks at work. If not, I will probably start off with eggs and sausage. Lunch will be a grilled chicken caesar salad.... I plan on making dinner for the family before I leave for work if I end up not working the on call shift. I will more than likely make either steak tacos... or chicken fajitas.

Tuesday I am volunteering to work at a Seattle Mariner's game selling hot dogs, pizza, and beer. Same thing on Wednesday. So, I have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off.... how does that sound.... not good if I were really trying to earn a living.

I will try and relax this week and just enjoy myself.

Ok so this morning I woke up really early. Couldn't fall back asleep so I decided to hop on the treadmill. I did almost one hour at 3.2 with the last 15 minutes at 3.4 mph.... I think tomorrow I will do the whole hour at 3.4 with a 2% incline.

I didn't have to work this morning so I am going to spend the day working on me.

First thing I did was grab a denim miniskirt that I purchased last year at The GAP.... have you seen how small their sizes run. Well I found a size 10 that was going to be part of my Holloween Costume last year, but, didn't even come close to fitting into it.... came up about halfway up my thighs. Well I have it planned again for this year as my "goal" for Halloween. This morning I was not only able to put it on but I was able to button it AND zip it up....lol YAY!! Now, remember, I said MINISKIRT.... I was almost hanging low all over... I definitely can't wear it for at least a month or two...but stilll YAY ME!!

If you are curious as to what my costume was/is going to be... I am dressing as a construction worker complete with toolbelt hardhat and heeled tennis shoes/workboots.... I also have some of those retro striped basketball socks.... team all that with my miniskirt a good pushup bra and tiny tshirt and you have the perfect costume for a "homewrecker"...lol Oh well maybe this year. If I could set a goal it is to be able to pull that off. My hubby and I don't normally go to those kind of parties, but the moment I can pull off that costume.... I am out the door... it's kind of my "surprise" for him. He doesn't really recognize my weight and I don't elaborate to him where I am at. Sometimes he doesn't realize that I am "dieting" or even "losing" but soon...lol. He knows where I was at but not where I am at now. Which will hopefully be a nice surprise.

Well today I am going to use the rest of the leftovers for an omelet.

Lunch I am honestly not sure what I want to eat for lunch. I am going to mak some fajitas for dinner. Chicken sounds good.

Dinner will be at work. Maybe some wings

Wow- I wish I had your energy!

Cool beans about the skirt! I tried on my mini-goal pants yesterday. Before I was no where near being able to even buttom them. Yesterday I buttoned - yeah! Still too tight to wear out but I am getting closer.

I love the fact that you can easily change the menus with out your husbands even knowing. It is amazing what they do and don't notice.

Well it's a new day and I have already had quite the busy morning. I will post half now and the rest later.

I am sitting in the car just outside of safeco field in seattle waiting for 3 to come around and wake up hubby. (Who is sleeping right next to me in the driver's seat.)

Today is Mariner Volunteer day and it has been hella busy. I went to bed this morning at 130 and actually fell asleep at around 3. But dangit! I woke up at 5:15 when hubby had to leave. And again I've been go go go.... hopped on my treadmill for an hour and then did the firm cardio... next put up little effort when I turned on the 30 day shred.... at that point I just fell back on the couch.

800am I was walking out the door to catch my 915 bus ride to the city. Ended up getting all the way to the bus stop and realized I forgot my server ID and alcohol card. So back home I went. My purse was filled with my computer and charger, wallet, two white tshirts, full bottle of saline solution, contact cases and spare glasses for me and hubby, and for those of you that carry purses then you know that the bottom is ALWAYS filled with change. So I was carrying a loaded purse but also both of my personal training books. Downhill 2.5 miles to the bus stop. Uphill 2.5 miles back to my house. Downhill 2.5 miles to get back to that freakin' stop. Phew!!
Finally on my way to hubby's work. I ended up stopping mid trek to have breakfast at the Sun Break Cafe. Afterwards, I finished my journey to hubby's work and STILL got there 2 hours early.... so I sat and waited and while there just studied studied studied.... am at the circulatory system.
Will finish posting later.... hubby just woke up.

I plan on leaving in a little bit. Last night was pretty late so no workout for me this morning.

Yesterday was an amazingly busy day. I think I clocked 15 miles on my work shoes for that mariner game. I definitely had more energy than my poor hubby did. I was almost skipping out of the stadium last night. I was actually pulling my hubby along.... lol... usually I am the winded one.

We got a free menu item from the concession stand ... I had a corndog... and we also got a free pop. So from 300pm to 1030pm I had a corndog and only a few sips of pop. Was I hungry... nope.... I was STARVING!!

Hubby and I ended up working in the beer garden out behind centerfield. There was only 4 of us and we sold over $8,000 in beer. We had beer at $8. domestic and $8.75 for imports.... the only other things we had were a couple bags of Kettle Corn and a Few Large bags of Peanuts. I took a few pictures but can't find my usb cord to upload them yet. I'll have to find something this weekend.

Tonight we will be volunteering again, but, we will be at the hot dog/beer portable. We'll get there at 4 today instead of 230. So no running around for me. I will also dress a little warmer. I was the only one with my liquor license and was the only one that new how to pour a beer. SO, I ended up pouring for my side with Tammy. My hubby was working on the other side with the Manager of the stand. He worked the register and Mike poured the beer for him. I had no coat even though the director said he didn't want to see me sick he said to put something on. .... I wasn't really cold.... and everyone told me to put a coat on. I poured a billion ice cold beers and still wasn't even as cold as my "coworkers".... I think it's because I am much more fit than the others were. It also helped that I had the Energy of 3 Five Year Olds on a bag of Snickers Candy bars.

Today it is pouring down rain. I know I have the energy to complete everything I need to do today, however, I just don't have the time to complete it the way I want to. So I will take an easy day complete the things that NEED to be done and let the rest fall to tomorrow. Life WILL go on without me putting time in on my treadmill and minutes on my workout dvds. I will even not take as many things as I took yesterday. I will take my book to study, and my work cards, and a warm coat. I won't even put my hair up.

Ok so time to get ready. I plan on having breakfast out again.

Wow what a night. We ended up working the beer garden again instead of the hot dog stand. We did better than opening day. Hearing that was awesome. We even did it with only 5 people. Opening day they had 10 people. Another of our friends came with us and helped out. He did a great job. He and my hubby worked one side. I worked on the other side with two other guys. (Hubby wanted the slow side tonight).

I could not wait to get home. I ended up eating part of a burger all day long... I tried eating some beef soup and it was GROSS. I had lots of energy again this evening and now that it has calmed down I feel really relaxed. I had such a great night. I am so ready for bed.

I think I am coming down with something. I just spent all day in bed. I woke up flushed and with what seems like an eye infection. Maybe it might be just allergies.

Last night we got home late and I went to bed pretty quickly. Our next Mariner event will be on Saturday May 1st.

I had an amazing night. We ended up working the Beer Garden out behind Centerfield again. I read one of the other posts one day about guys paying attention to you much more when the weight is not there. Well these people didn't know me from adam and it was cute that I got asked out several times and also got $35 in tips from one guy.... lol... and the really great thing was these guys were in their late 20's and were asking me out. I told one that he looked great for his age and laughed at him (I was teasing him because he was only 28). He asked when the stand closed and when it closed would I like to enjoy the rest of the game with him and his friends... I said... I would love it but my hubby would definitely not approve and laughed it off.... he said I was too young to be married and that's when I told him I was pushing 40....lol... hubby came up behind me to get a drop for the vault and heard part of the conversation.... I just said "and here he is".... it was just cute.

The director came up and helped me pour because he said out of all four lines mine was the longest. He said people were just waiting in line just to talk with me even though there would be no one in the lines next to me. He said he kept telling people to go to the other line and they would say Raquel knows what I like.... men and women....I thought that was sweet. We were supposed to have a hot dog stand last night but the direct called and put my hubby's team back in the beer garden because the customers really like us. He said I had a great attitude. I thought it was all sweet. The other two guys that came into the garden to work with us said they hoped to work with us every time.

One of the customers that I had met the night before came up and ordered 2 coors lights... it was at the beginning when the gates opened and she turned around to take a picture and couldn't get her camera to turn on. Well I had just gotten done taking the pictures of me, hubby, and justin. So I grabbed the batteries out of my camera and handed them to her. She was so shocked that I would do that she gave me a $10 tip. I handed it back to her and said just bring it by at the end of the game... she said take it anyway. Well I put it in the tip basket behind us. I would have left with about $60 in tips but shared it with the boys. The total tips we ended up splitting was $120. I was definitely glad I was able to contribute.

Well I was just relating all this not to toot a horn... it's just the feeling of awareness I have with what comes with losing weight. Your confidence level and your energy and personality level gets to a point where it is accepting. It gets comfortable. I am not sure if I am explaining that right. I am sure most of you realize that feeling I am talking about. Oh well, I can't wait for the next set of games. I had such a fun time. I was comfortable putting myself out there because this is who I am and I accept that I need to be healthy and I am getting there.

I haven't gained or lost anything the last week and that is a bummer. I did have to eat what was available at the mariner games since we can't bring food in.

Tuesday morning I had a california omelet at the Sun Break Cafe with 2 cups of coffee and 1 large slice wheat toast.
Tuesday's lunch was a corndog at the game.
Tuesday's dinner was a part of a burger from wendy's.

Wednesday's Breakfast
1/4 cup of Pepper Steak Soup... GROSS
Wednesday's Lunch
1 Hotdog w/bun
Wednesday's Dinner
Part of a Burger from wendy's

Thursday's Breakfast
3 eggs and 3 jalapeno sausages
Thursday's Lunch
Chicken Breast w/marinara and swiss cheese and rice... I did have a couple of spoons of corn that was mixed with the rice.
Thursday's Dinner
2 ounces Tequila with 3 whole limes squeezed in mixed with Strawberry Crystal Light.

This morning will be eggs and sausage again.
Lunch will be something with ham. I think I might have stuff for a salad mix.
Dinner will be hmm not sure.. I have to work tonight so we'll see.

It is Monday morning and I am thankful. I had such a busy weekend and am going through TOM right now... I know TMI but I feel horribly bloated and can't stand it. I am up 2 pounds. I will leave my ticker alone though and change it afterwards. Changing it up then down will just hurt my mental faculties...lol.

Saturday we had softball. I don't play but my hubby does. We had breakfast out that morning. I had a quarter of a burger. I can't eat that early in the morning anyway but wasn't sure when I would be able to eat. For lunch I had a low carb buffalo chicken wrap... it had sooo much sauce on it. YUCK!! Oh well next time I'll bring more than just a LC tortilla. Dinner was honestly ... popcorn... we ended up being so tired after a movie that when we got home at 530 we just went to bed... we woke up Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.

We had breakfast Sunday morning at Denny's and I had a LC breakfast burrito. I only ate half of it. For lunch we went out again and had Taco Time. I had a natural soft taco... definitely not the best choice for me... I didn't know it had beans in it... next time I'll know. Dinner I made hubby french dip sandwiches while I had roast beef ... I wasn't too hungry.

When I got home last night I did the 30 day shred video... I LIKE IT
My muscles are a bit sore right now. But I will get through it again this morning. I am really hoping I don't have to work this morning. I would love to be able to get some laundry done.

I do work this evening and will probably have dinner there.

Ok so not sure this might be a long one. I haven't posted all week.

Last Monday evening I worked at 530 and was really bummed because of TOM and all the issues that come with that. For some odd reason I felt the need for water and ended up drinking 64 ounces while working... I know because I brought a 64 ounce jug filled with it. And I didn't have to go to the restroom once that night.... so I must have really been in need.

Tuesday I worked the morning shift and had my usual breakfast of eggs and Sausage. I went straight home after work because my hubby got off work early and we figured we would have a late lunch early dinner together. So home we were together and we ended up taking a pretty long nap. I always feel guilty taking naps so when he takes one I always feel it's "OK" to take a nap. He told me he had Wednesday off and so did I. So I was pretty stoked about that.

When we woke up we decided to have Mexican. Todd was telling me all about how he went to a mexican buffet for lunch one day and they had everything even dessert. At this point I was so hungry and he was telling me about all this food and then he said it also had a big salad bar and lots of fresh fruit. I was sold!!! Here we are sitting in the parking lot and he is telling me about all this food. I told him let's go get some wings at applebee's for happy hour and we can enjoy the lunch buffet at the mexican restaurant the next day... he was down for that...

Pulling into the parking lot at applebee's hubby gets a phone call from his friend chris... the phone call lasts all through dinner.... so about a full hour.... UUUGGGHHH!! Hubby couldn't even get a word in. I was beyond mad. Fast Forward ... next day ....

Sitting at the mexican restaurant we just set our plates down on the table (and the buffet is everything hubby says) when todd's phone rings and again it is his friend Chris.. Dangit!!! And Again I am eating alone!!! This time about 20 minutes in to it Hubby says excuse me but I am having lunch with Raquel I'll call you back when I get home.... FINALLY!!!

I not only have Wednesday off I also had that Thursday off. I worked and helped hubby with some embroidery and on Thursday I completed the project.

Friday morning I ended up picking up a shift for a coworker she had ended up hurting her back so was thankful I had the time off. That night we ended up heading to applebee's in Puyallup to drop off that order that I had helped with. Well, knowing that we were heading to puyallup, and that chris lives in puyallup, I told my hubby to just invite him to dinner since he was probably going to be interrupting it anyway... and of course Chris said YES! Dangit!!

Chris brought his new girlfriend Trish... she's really nice... she also helped out at the Mariner's Game on Saturday we ended up operating a hot dog stand and 2 Beer portables.

Sunday I worked my usual morning shift and got done at 430.

Monday I didn't have to work my On Call but did have to work my night shift. We had a dine to donate that night and so it was quite busy.
And now you found me at this morning. Nothing special about today...lol... just been pretty busy. I have stayed pretty much on plan. Here are a few photos of our group.

The guy in the pic with the blonde is Chris and the girl with him is Trisha. The girl standing next to me is Jenny and the guy next to me in the other pic is Nick.

So I am down another 2 pounds as of this morning. Not sure how much of that relates to stress. My ego took a beating yesterday from someone I didn't know but who assumes to know all about me and my family. It was quite a shock to hear the things that were said. Which if this person knew me would know that I am the exact opposite. It's funny what people end up believing as the truth.
MY thing is this person has no hold over me. I am a strong person. My husband and son love me and I love them even with all their faults, mistakes, and hiccups they've made throughout their lives. My love for my family has never withered and it never will. Sometimes you just have to be strong for the ones that are weak and help them be strong themselves. That is what every person should live by.
I hold no animosity towards this person and never will. I only hope that they find happiness at some point. People like these find happiness in other's misery and I had never come across that until yesterday. But know that I was strong and will continue to be strong.

As I said my life has been pretty hectic lately. Hubby and I have been very busy. I woke up today wonderfully energetic and with a smile on my face and hope for the future. Something I hadn't thought of in a long time. I have always had hope for the future but not really felt it. And this morning I did. I kissed my hubby goodbye and he gave me a huge hug. and life was and is wonderful. I hopped on the scale and found another 2 pounds lost and came on the computer and played my Firm DVD...lol... still no DVD player... one of these days I'll remember to pick one up.
Got done with the dvd and called hubby who is right now waiting for the ferry at Anderson Island and he sent me a beautiful picture from the dock... he said it wasn't much just a rock beach and he was skipping stones while talking to me. Like I said wonderful day. I am in a euphoria and am not letting go of it until I start work ....lol. Then I will be an Apple Zombie.

Last night hubby got home late and we tried to take a late nap...lol... it was around 7:30 when he got home but didn't try falling asleep until 8:30 and then it was over we were wide awake... so we decided a nice hot shower and then dinner was in order...Fast Forward....

We ended up going to ZATO Grill out in Bonney Lake. We got there as happy hour started. Last night was totally off plan but since stress kept me from eating all day hubby said he wanted me to eat something. We ordered chicken gyoza and garlic fries. I ended up eating 2 of the chicken gyoza and maybe 4 garlic fries. ... not that I wanted to stay on plan... it was just that since my ego took a beating the last thing I was able to keep in my tummy was fried starches.... I definitely didn't feel like eating but Todd was really concerned so for him I took 2 and he had the other 4 and all the garlic fries. One funny cool NSV happened last night ... the mother's ring that todd and my son bought for me fell off as I was trying to dip my gyoza in the sauce. YAY for NSV!!!

This morning my tummy is still feeling horrible and I have yet to eat. I am hoping as the morning passes and afternoon sets in I will be able to stomach something. I have been drinking lots of water but the thought of food is really making me nauseous. We'll see how my day goes.... it's laundry day...yuck... I don't mind folding but I really do hate washing.
