  • Yesterday I spent most of my time sleeping....lol.. that was a real treat.

When I woke up yesterday all I did really was eat breakfast and clean my kitchen. I was finishing off breakfast when my son came home from school. I made 2 batches of cupcakes and organized my thoughts for this morning.

It would seem that my hubby is in need of something sweet. When he came home yesterday he thought I had made him cookies and got really excited coming up the stairs...lol... sorry no cookies for him. He was just smelling the cupcakes. Maybe tonight or tomorrow if I don't work.

Softball got rained out last night so we didn't have to leave. We took a nap instead. Woke up an hour later. Hubby and son headed to the gym. I went to The RAM and had a beer and some hummus and veggies. The boys joined me about an hour later. Then our friends showed up for our weekly chat. It was pretty fun.

When we got home it was definitely bedtime. I got the items I needed from the store but decided to work on the snacks this morning instead of last night. It was almost 1100 when we got home. We were really happy to finally be home and in bed. Todd and I snuggled for a little while and then finally passed out. I just got done with the chocolate covered strawberries and am melting the white chocolate for the snack mix. Cupcakes are just waiting to be frosted. I haven't had breakfast yet and am not sure what I will want.

Baby shower this afternoon. Work tonight. Laundry tomorrow. YAY me..lol.

Checked out that purse forum. That is pretty interesting. I'll admit I will definitely hit it up for finding out about when the sales will be going on. My purse that I want is still going for $1900 and the fake one is still going for about $800. YIKES!!

  • Mmmmm! LOve the smell of baked goods, although it always makes me crave like crazy.

Fair warning: That purse forum is addictive! Which bag are you looking at? (and PLEASE treat yourself to the real thing.) with the fake being that expensive, it's probably worth it just to go for the real mccoy, you know?

Have a great rest-of-the-day and weekend!
  • Baby shower was fun yesterday... it had a mexican theme going on so there was a mexican buffet. I indulged in some low carb cupcakes and some chicken tacos. I ended up stuffing myself. YUCK!!

After work last night hubby and I went and watched a few friends play softball. We had a pretty good time out in the rain. The second game started at 9:30 last night and got called at 9:40 because of rain. At least we got to watch the first game. When we got home I made hubby dinner and just snuggled when he got done.

I didn't have to work this morning so I fell back asleep and just woke up an hour ago. I have been talking with a customer about his order and am going to throw in a couple of scarves for their wives for this weekend. Not sure if they'll like it or even use it but with our weather why not....lol.

I am throwing some clothes in the laundry and going to make some cookies...maybe...lol... not sure if I really want to have cookies around.

Todd and I woke up early this morning and then snuggled until he was half an hour late for work again this morning. Him being late hasn't really been a problem. There are only a couple of forklifts at the shop so he usually has to wait around until one is free anyway. He used to start at 730 because of this. Now he starts when one is available. So it ends up working out.

I can't wait... tonight we are headed to Moses Lake. We will be there with a bunch of friends. There is a softball tournament that is going on that should be really fun. We'll see.

About the purse. I don't go for the fake ones. That was just showing the unrealistic cost even though it's a fake. I don't understand why anyone would purchase a fake one for a thousand less. You honestly might as well save for the real one. If the fake were a hundred dollars then I could see someone buying it. But pay a thousand for a fake one....why? Oh well. The one I want is now made to order. I will probably order before I go down to vegas and have it shipped to vegas so that I can pick it up while I am there.

  • How exciting about the purse!!! Don't forget piiiictures when you get it.
Baby shower sounds delicious and filling. Hate that feeling of overstuffed, too, but sometimes what can you do. Sounds like a good time, though. Hurray for the extra sleep. You deserve it.
  • I guess I am a cheapskate - I wouldn't pay $1000 for a real purse - LOL. Yes - send pics - I have never seen a purse that expensive!

I hope you have fun at Moses Lake!
  • IF I am able to save up enough for it, I will definitely post a pic....lol... not really that much of a fan to call it a purse family. At least not anywhere near the people on that website. However, I will definitely post a pic of it if I am able to get it. I'll admit I am a cheapskate too. But, hubby has bought me a couple as bday and christmas gifts. He usually buys me clothes and kitchen stuff. This year he has gotten me some pretty cool stuff. Girly stuff. I am difinitely a girly kind of girl.

Moses Lake was horrible...lol... I really have been planning to go to the fair that was there this weekend but we ended up waiting on a couple of people for dinner that didn't show up until 4 hours later. I was so mad. I thought it was pretty rude. I wasn't even hungry and had to wait forever for them to show up. We ended up going to the bar with the rest of the team and watched the UFC fight (which I absolutely DO NOT watch). I don't like seeing people pummelling each other. Kind of sickens me. Last game got done Saturday at 430/500 we got to the hotel room it was a bit after 4 and didn't see them until after 8. Well the parade for the fair started at 630 for the kids and 8 for the late activities. I was really pretty mad. I missed it all day Saturday and then most of Sunday. Hubby felt really bad for me and apologized. He tried to make it up to me by taking me to Leavenworth. But, it was raining so hard in Leavenworth that we ended up not going. I had planned on doing that fair for the last 2 years. We went to Wenatchee last year so I couldn't go. So I said this year.... I will go.

The only thing that I ate all weekend that was not on plan was tater tots. I ordered a basket while at the fights. I hadn't had tater tots in maybe 10 years. They were ok. Not really that great. I thought they would be though.
Other than that it was a pretty good weekend. Hubby and I did enjoy ourselves together though. We did make sure our night was romantic. Spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub. Had a wonderful drive without the radio on. Normally we'll listen to the radio for the first hour or so. This time no radio.

I think I may have gotten a cold while in Moses Lake. I am hoping it's not allergies. I hate that. Colds are better to control. At least for me. Oh well work for me tonight at 4pm. See you there.... $5 burger night YAY!!...lol

    AppleBuddy
  • Awww, yuck! Hope that it turns out to be a cold, too. Allergies are no fun (so says another allergy sufferer).

Some of the ladies on the purse forum are crazy wealthy (or like to think people that they're crazy wealthy) but it's fun to watch what they come up with. I like the eye candy, but know that that's the closest I'll probably ever come to that much luxury.
Hurray for $5 burgers! (Simply remove the bun and enjoy -- lol)
  • Sorry that it seems like I haven't been around. At the start of the week I was sick, then my new schedule came out and found that my work gave me my same schedule from last weekend when I was in Moses Lake. So I have been trying to pick up shifts all week and have actually been successful... I will post my full week tomorrow morning when I can think straight.
  • Ok so I lied I woke up late this morning and couldn't post. I picked up a shift this morning and woke up really late. I even had a coworker pick me up.

So, when I went in to work on Memorial Day last week I found out that they gave me the same schedule as last week. So again,I had the weekend off. That didn't last long though. I ended up picking up 6 additional shifts to the 2 that I was already scheduled. So far I only have 28 hours with one shift left to go until period end. The last couple of weeks I have had a total of 16 hours....YIKES!!! I know.

Monday I was pretty much still on plan. I have the wedding this weekend for my friend so I have been trying to be pretty good. Not that I plan on being off plan during the wedding. Maybe I'll have wedding cake....lol. I love love love cake. Ok so there is no maybe about it.... I will eat cake..... one slice...lol I'll even try to be good and select the smallest slice. Damn them if it's an ice cream cake like last year.... I was so disappointed. I am allergic to milk (I break out in hives).

Tuesday last week I worked during the day and spent the evening with my hubby. We have been trying to make some extra time for each other. It really hasn't been working out this week. I had to pick up a night shift on Wednesday, (Thursday was a scheduled night shift), Friday, Saturday, Sunday (day shift), Monday (day shift), Tomorrow (day and night). See, I didn't even see him from Friday to Sunday morning. He left at 730 Saturday morning to go and scout players. He did find 3 guys though. We'll see how that turns out.

Sunday has been a ritual for us. I worked Sunday morning and he even came in to have lunch with me. Well kind of, my section was all full so he sat at the bar rail and had some mozzarella sticks. I got done at 230 and we went out to Farelli's Restaurant and I had me some Macaroni and Spicy Sausage....that's that yummy item I talked about once. Well after dinner we went to watch a movie... we saw Get Him To The Greek.... wow what a great movie.... I am seeing it again with a friend on Wednesday...lol.

Let me see if I can remember my food schedule from last Monday forward.

Monday.... Woke up with hubby and had some chicken wings when I went in to work. During my shift I had some Shrimp. I also had some grilled chicken breast that was left over.

Tuesday..... I had a couple of eggs for breakfast ... I ran out of bacon... which really sucked. I ended up eating wings again.... YUMMMMY!!!!

Wednesday.... I had the day off and didn't do much of anything. In fact I had a sad day.... when hubby came home we ended up snuggling most of the evening.... I was just feeling really insecure. Sometimes you just need a loved one to tell you that everything is going to be ok.

Thursday.... I had my normal day... Had a couple of eggs for breakfast... still no bacon.... and for lunch I did try my hand at mock french toast with SF Syrup.

Friday was a long day. I didn't do much of anything again. I did work at night and stayed until closing. And with Todd going to scout I didn't see him until he showed up for lunch at Applebee's Sunday afternoon. Last night we snuggled for hours. We did have a huge fight in the afternoon. But he ended up apologizing and like I said we snuggled for hours.

Today I worked this morning when we got home hubby took a nap during his last half hour he asked if I would snuggle with him... aaawwww... I love love loved it....

I am sitting at The Ram in Puyallup having my usual porter and hummus and veggies.... yay me... hubby is playing racquetball.... Another slow day tomorrow...

  • Awww, missed ya! Glad you're back. But also glad that you were off living life as well. Sounds like food was on target and you've probably earned yourself that slice of wedding cake.

Hope the rest of the week goes well!
  • This morning was really tiring. I got home last night at around midnight and snuggled with hubby at bedtime. I was feeling bad since I thought he might be uncomfortable so I ended up scooting to my side of the bed. Well, I didn't fall asleep until he grabbed me at around 5 in the morning to snuggle with him. So, I finally got to sleep at around 5. He woke up an hour and a half later to get ready for work and I didn't realize he was leaving until he gave me my goodbye kisses. I did fall back asleep for another hour or so.

I woke up at 830 and called my coworker for another ride in so that I could get an additional hour of sleep. Which was GREAT!!! Work was really slow. Sometimes slow days are what servers really need. I definitely needed it since I have been working working working like crazy! Since I got an additional hour of sleep I didn't make anything for breakfast. So, to hold me over, I had about a quarter cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup... sans tortilla strips.... I also tossed out all the tomatoes and just had the chicken and the broth. For lunch I got the special, Santa Fe Chicken Salad. For half off of $6.99 it was so worth it. I had mine without the Mexican-Ranch dressing. I am NOT a fan of dressing. I know I can have it I just prefer to not have it on my salad.

After work I went to Walmart and picked up stuff to make tacos for dinner. I didn't make the tacos. Todd's softball game got rained out so he went to play racquetball with his buddies and I went to The Ram to wait for them. I had my usual porter. Which I found out is about 14g carbs/12ounces. I had about one and half beers. For dinner I had their Faberge burger without the bun and onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings were about 1-2" in diameter and I had about 5 of them and were about 18.5 carbs. My choices were not the greatest but to be honest that was pretty much what I had for lunch at applebee's all last summer....lol... ask anyone there... they say Raquel and her onion ring diet.... oh well, works for me. Definitely don't follow my example. Right now they laugh because of all the chicken wings that I eat.

I honestly can't wait to go to bed. I am so exhausted. Tomorrow morning I will have the morning off and will be working tomorrow evening. I hope it's busy again. If not then I may end up staying for one of my coworkers.

Breakfast tomorrow will be Eggs and Bacon.

Lunch will be wings with celery and bleu cheese.

    Dinner will be tacos.

Snack I am making a low carb cheesecake topping and some sugar free sorbet and top it with diced fresh strawberries. I even have some more sugar free strawberry jam that I like to heat up and pour over the lot of it.... talk about yummy.

  • Food sounds delicious. Glad you got a restful day at work.

    Hoping your weekend goes well.
  • Breakfast yesterday ended up being a Santa Fe salad at work. I also had some steamed broccoli. For dinner I made tacos. It was so yummy. The boys had taco shells and I had 2 low carb tortillas.

I had a rough day yesterday and yelled pretty badly at my boys. It seems that when I get done working I have to be a secretary for them both. So I was not even able to relax when I got home. I made dinner and then went online to do the things that both my boys could have done themselves while I was at work. sheesh!!!! Todd took us to a movie to get my mind off my stressful day. We watched the A-Team. Wow!!! What an awesome movie.... I am definitely going to watch this one again. Start to finish it was GREAT!! Not one slow moment in the whole movie. Of course we watched the very first showing at midnight last night. Actually it was 12:01 this morning. But, you get the idea.

We got home at 230 this morning and fell right asleep. I woke up with hubby for all of a half an hour. After that I didn't wake up again until about an hour ago. I just got done eating an omelet. I used the leftover taco meat. For lunch I plan on having the Santa Fe salad at work. I will also be at work for dinner so we'll see what sounds good at that time.

I want to try and have a yard sale next month and get rid of alot of household stuff. Mostly all the things that Todd has picked up over the years at other peoples garage sales.... which is quite a bit...lol. I am hoping to earn enough money for my purse...lol...I am sure I won't reach that target but that is my goal. Some items I plan on getting rid of I will have to replace. I want a new set of living room furniture. I am going to get rid of the one I currently have. It's horrible. I am thinking $50 for the set is even too much. I have 3 other couches downstairs if I really need something. I want new though. I also have 2 doors that need to be replaced. One needed to be replaced since we moved in and we just haven't had the time or money to do ALL the things we want to do. I have some computer equiptment and some clothes and alot of store fixtures. (ie. clothing racks, shelves, gridwall). I guess we'll see how it goes.

Work tonight. Scouting tomorrow morning. Wedding tomorrow night. Work Sunday. I have Monday off YAY!!! Tuesday I get to work a double....lucky me.

  • I forgot to post the other day that I am down one more pound. It's not much but at least it's going in the right direction.

  • Hi Applebuddy, boy can I relate.
I work at walmart in the deli and the bakery. I'm doomed I tell you just plain doomed, food everywhere all kinds of food staring at me daily.
I must be strong I must, I can be stronger than that donut I just made. I think.
