Funny...we call them "woobies" or "woobs" as well...we started calling them that after calling a certain worn out blanket that as well...I got the whole thing after the old 1980's movie "Mr. Mom."
hee hee hee...
I loved that movie...and was totally thankful when Pizza Hut did their dvd promotion and it was one of the titles...my old vhs was worn out. I totally relate to the whole housewife lifestyle...funny how I can be all exotic bellydancing or in some fancy costume one day...and the next I am in my "woobs" cutting coupons out of the Sunday newspaper...
Aphil
ps-I have woobies on right now...baby yellow fleece pajama pants with navy blue/baby blue stars all over them! Goes great with my husband's woobies: old black or grey sweatpants and a 10 year old black with holes in it Metallica/Slayer/Led Zeppelin/insert other band name here concert t-shirt.

SFLAKE & Aphil-Most of my clothes are woobs!!! I drip stuff on em at home and burn holes in them at work though!!!! Finally got a few "Nice" clothes for running errands, because people were ot wanting to wait on me in the stores!!!!!

Ctagmire & Mauvais-Basically they are children. My kids are doing it to me too. Telling me about things that I knew about when I was the age of my YOUNGER son. Or my younger son's classmates who don't believe it when my son tells them I like the Ramones.....(YES, and I like them before they were even BORN damn it!!!)

Ellis-YUP! Today he and a buddy were drinking ginger ale and saying, "KEEN" like it was so KEEN that I let them have pop!!! I told them if they didn't watch it I'd start buying Spaghetti-Os!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I just love it when I see a bunch of the downtown regular goth/rock/punk kids everyday and they see me in my corporate(albeit black) clothes and then I see them on the weekend at a club and I am wearing my club clothes and knee high patent leather lace up boots and my hair all "done" funky -knocks them for a loop!

GOOD!! People need to be knocked for a loop more often I think. Too much of trying to stereotype people going on!!!

You are one hot mama Aphil!

While we are airing out the unfashionable skeletons in our wardrobes......

My favorite "woobie" outfit consists of one pair of grey waffle weave longjohns, a pale blue baby-t from a gaming convention and leopard print flip flops. In the winter I add a grey hooded zip front sweat shirt and switch the flip flops to my hedgehog slippers

Needless to say I do not leave the house looking like that - ever!

Imagine if we all got together and walked down the street in our "woobie clothes". Scary. shudder.

Nah they would think it was some sort of parade, protest or University stunt going on - at least where Ellis and I are living!
