Good evening GG's,

About to head to bed ~ day off over ~ back to work tomorrow. Going to leave early to run the errands that I didn't get done today. Three days of work, then off the weekend.

Got to spend a little time with Maddie before and after she and grandpa went park hopping. It is fun to talk with her/listen to her tell about her adventures. Grandpa uses his tablet and takes lots of pictures and videos to accompany her explanations. She played hard and was tired.

Puneri ~ ouch, hope your pulled muscle feels better. Be careful.

Bobbi ~ thank you for the instructions for how to change the words.

Sorry I did not get any more personals done. Hope you all rest well tonight and have a good day tomorrow.

Night night ~ take care

Karen31 - I'm curious about when you celebrate your anniversary, the first one or second one. And how many years. If you go back to a job you had before your years of service from before still count! LOL

Maryea - When I was single I loved loved loved living alone. I could stay home and not answer the phone or the door if I chose, or I could go out and be with friends, or have friends over. But all the decisions about the home were mine. It was the best of both worlds IMO. I will agree that there is a closeness of being in a committed relationship that you don't find otherwise.

Good Morning,

Lyn, Happy Birthday - sorry I'm late.

Karen, glad you are safe.

Hello and Welcome to our new Golden Girls.

Weighed in at 149 this morning. Knee problem is keeping me from serious exercise. Just doing a 1/2 hour of bike until the knee is less painful.

Supposed to be 60 here today. Our Spring flowers are blooming!

Happy Wednesday,

Lynn

Hello Goldens!

Wow, I have been gone a couple days and I am way behind! Sorry. I have been so busy but I have sure missed you guys. I laughed and laughed at the "marital bliss" descriptions.

I met my exdh when I was 15, married at 18 and divorced at 31. It was NOT a good situation.Nuff said about that. I have dated a bit since then (a couple times fairly seriously). I made the decision that I wouldn't bring men in and out of my life/house as I was a single mom to two teenage boys. So, I kept that part of my life separate. By the time they were older, I wasn't interested. In fact, the only relationships that I have enjoyed were with men who lived in another town! I am NEVER lonely and I really like being single. I always tell people that I am not partnership material.... That being said, my parents have been married passionately, lovingly for 53 years. Some days they can't stand each other! But there has never been any doubt about their love for each other. They met on a blind date and were married when mom was 18 and dad was 21. My mom sure worries about me, though, she would feel much better if I was married.

Gayle, I sure enjoy your descriptions of your days off... It makes me smile.

Lyn, sorry I missed you here for your birthday. I did hit you up on FB, though. LOL on the pancakes.

Karenfl (terminator) Thanks! You get it.... And yes, I will win. Oh, if only I was totally in control of everything and could wave a magic wand or wiggle my nose..... POOF!

Karenmo, everytime I think of the story of Tim comming to get you it makes me feel good! Wonderful.

Marie, good luck on friday. I have to have that business done next month. Yes, your David sounds like a peach.

Donna, I will happily join you as the single goldens group. I just don't have it in me to negotiate any aspect of my life! You know, what I want, when I want, how I want......

Lynn, nice to see you! Wow, you are almost back down to "fighting weight". Good for you. on the knee. I hope it gets better.

Hi Bobbi !

Rosey, your stories of you and Steve just crack me up because you sound like my mom when she talks of my dad. It is sweet and funny.

Carol, you DO understand single!

Puneri, Sorry about your injury and I hope it heals soon,.

Mary, what is "wine flavoring"? Congrats on all your wins. I am always warmed by how much you think of Joe. It is nice.

Deelee, "use your words dear" ! Too funny! I am an "eye roller" even though I try not to.

Zoe, some things just aren't tolerable, are they? I also think that sometimes I put out so much energy (the interpersonal kind) as a social worker that I just don't really want a relationship. Maybe its because I haven't ever encountered the right one. I so enjoy my friends and all the people that I hang out with. Maybe I just get those needs met there. Also, I don't have to share my space, my stuff, or my money with my pool and fishing buddies!

Sorry to those that I have missed. I must get on with the day. Pool league tonight so it will be a late day. Sure wish I could have slept later! Sigh....

Hi all-

Well, I have Darn H’s cold. Hopefully milder. Nothing in head just a little in chest. Not as bad as dh. I am having a little astigmatic surgery tomorrow on eye that had the cataract surgery. No anesthesia - just drops to numb my eye so I think it will be okay. What is even worse is that I’ve gained weight. It’s the night time carb craving. I asked DH to help me. He said, let’s go work out - he’s obviously feeling better. I think I’ll start coughing. I told him that what I need is for him is to be pleasant to me, be aware of me. It’s time for him to be done being the sick one. He said okay.

I have to figure out how to do the partial quote thing.

Matty - If you could figure that out (why so hard to lose a pound and so easy to gain 3) I think you would win a Nobel Prize!

Karen 31 - Yes! That’s exactly we all need - wives!

Gotta go. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Hi Rie,

Not quite back. My lowest on this past 3-year journey was 143. Although, my average is 150.

Hi Dee,

Nice to meet you. I am a "regular" on this thread, but generally need to take time off when I am teaching my online courses. My course finished yesterday, so I am back.

To do the quote, click on the little quotation marks icon - bottom right - for each message you want to quote. When you have all the messages tagged, click on the "Quote" button on the last message. In your screen, you will have everyone's messages between QUOTE marks. You can delete the parts of the messages that you want as long as you do not disturb the QUOTE marks.

NOTE: I typically copy and paste everything into WORD and type my messages there & then cut and paste back into 3FC. Reason - because it is a pain to do a lot of messaging & lose your post.

Hope this helps,
Lynn

Sometimes I tell DH that I love him but that I don't like him today.

Lyn, I also ate way too many pancakes yesterday. I made them with blueberries and served them with syrup, sliced strawberries and whipped topping.

Just a quick run through so I don't get too far behind. Today I bought a new range hood/fan for the stove and tried to find knobs and pulls that I liked. I guess that will another trip to another town.

Take care. xoxoxo

Hi Isabella,

I made a revised version of the tomato tart. Used Ricotta & Mozzarella instead of the Gruyere. I used honey mustard instead of mustard. I should have listened to you - I used too much mustard. I actually think the mustard would be OK if some diced ham were in the filling. Alternatively, I am thinking of a little olive oil with oregano instead of the mustard.

However, all that being said, I have been enjoying the tart everyday for lunch. Thank you for sharing.

I have really enjoyed reading about everyone and also the daily menu's. I Know I'm eating too much. I'm eating like I an 18 again. My appetite is still like I was young and now i cannot burn it all off. So I know I've got to do some cutting back.

Tomorrow I go to TOPS. Last week gained 3.4 lbs after just from visiting my sister in KC, Mo. It took me a month to get that much off.

Want so much to have drop at least 10 by summer. One thing is ,,,,I am not giving up. You all are such an inspiration.
Thanks for all the tips.

let you know how the weigh in goes tomorrow night.

Thang glynne, thanks riemontana.
Muscle is alright today, went to gym and did same exercises. The mistake i did other day was not doing warm up. Cold muscles cannot be stressed i guess.
