Thanks Linda for getting us started on the last 2 months for this year. Wow
it just doesn't seem possible that we are nearing the end of another year.
I hope that all of us can have a big loss or at least make some good changes in some of our not so good habits, and end this year on a
happy note. I'm looking forward to starting anew again.
Let's make November 2007 a month to remember !!!!!

Hi there DONNA . . . I'm looking forward to a good November, too.
In October, I managed to add a little formal exercise just about every day -- not much, but a lot more than normal for me. For November, I plan to keep it up (and increase it) and also kick my Cool Whip "habit". Nothing really wrong with a 'little' cool whip; but, just like with ice cream, chocolate, and peanut butter, I am not capable of a 'little'. Must be that nasty, nasty HFCS they put in it.
Okay everybody . . . keep things moving and shaking . . .

Good morning
We have gotten so busy here at work that I don't have much time to get on here. Guess from the boss's standpoint that is a good thing !!
I haven't set up any formal exercise program for this month yet but I plan to over the weekend and I'm really, really going to try hard to get back on my eating plan. When I get busy it is just sooo easy to grab and run and it doesn't make me feel good
Our weather is going to be beautiful this weekend so hope I get some time to get out and enjoy it. Last weekend we cut firewood again and that is a LOT of exercise and I did lose a pound of that pound and a half that I had gained. Will see what I did this week when I weigh in tomorrow
Have a great weekend everyone, sure hope the gang finds us Linda or we are going to be pretty lonely over here by ourselves. DONNA

Good Morning . . .
Wish I had your weather DONNA . . . so far we are just overcast but the weather station is still using that nasty HURRICANE WARNING about Noel. Supposed to hit us full force between 7 pm tonight and 7 am tomorrow. Hopefully they are being overly cautious . . .
Yep, I also hope that some of the others find the Donna and Linda thread this month.
Anyway have a good one . . . see you later . . . if I have power.

Hi everyone,
It sure does feel like winter is coming. Cold winds, cool temps., into the minus temps overnight (28-30 F)etc. Nothing like you though, Meowee. Hopefully it doesn't get as bad as they're predicting.
Not too much new with me - trying to stay on program as far as eating, which I seem to be doing okay with BUT my exercise has not been great for the last couple of months. I need a kick-start of some kind.
Talk soon,

Hi there . . .
It has stopped raining and the sun is actually trying to break through the clouds from time to time. Forecasters are saying the wind should die down sometime this afternoon; we are still having gusts at 85 mph (140 kph). All in all, not too bad -- at least not right around my area, anyway. We had a pretty scary night with the wind rattling windows and shaking the house and the rain pounding down relentlessly . . . but, as of right now, Nova Scotia is still attached to North America (there were times last night I would not have been surprised to find that we'd been blown out to the mid-Atlantic somewhere ).
Have a great day . . .

LINDA: I am soooo glad that you are still with us. I didn't realize that you were in the path of the storm, that must be really scary. 85 mph winds
sound a little more than I would like to have especially with rain too.
However we could use some rain, our farmers would disagree with me as they are trying to get the corn all harvested. Our humidity yesterday was
12%.
DENISE: Glad that you followed us over here, was afraid we were going to be here all alone. Not ready for winter just yet Know it can't be far away as we spotted a large flock of cranes this past week. It is going to get down into the low 20's here tonight. Guess that will do in my last roses.
I lost 1 1/2 lbs this past week. I am sooo happy about that. I kept busy all weekend so I didn't have a chance to eat poorly. Usually I snack right along with DH.
We had some sad news last night. My SIL's youngest sister died yesterday afternoon. She lives in the same town we do and my kids live about 4 hours away. She is just in her mid 40's, not sure of the cause just yet. So my kids will be coming and staying a few days. I had planned to paint that bedroom tomorrow but guess that will have to wait for a while, but that's ok.
Only have a half hour until lunch so I had better finish up here. Will talk to you later this week.

Sorry to hear that news DONNA. It will be a tough time for your daughter.
Nothing too exciting around here . . . the day just seemed to get away from me . . . talked to a lot of people in my travels that were still without power this morning and saw 7 trees and 3 fences that were knocked down by the storm just on the five minute drive to the post office Boy, did I ever get lucky.
Speaking of snow, it can't be too far away . . . everything was totally white with a heavy frost first thing this morning and the temperature was well below the freezing mark. At least during the storm it was pretty mild.
Anyway, hope everybody has a great rest of the day . . . keep things moving and shaking gang . . .

Hi Ladies...So sorry that I have been MIA , just extremly busy looking for a job and unpacking. I did start back with Weight Watchers a couple of weeks ago, and it was a good thing! I gained 10 pounds with the stress of the move, but I'm back on track. I loss 3.8 lbs two weeks ago, and 2 lbs last week, and I'm hoping for another loss this week.
The weather has been beautiful, around 62 during the days and low 30's at night. The trees are so beautiful, and I'm soooooo happy to be back around family. My daughter has been down every weekend since we moved here, and I'm loving it!!!!!
Saturday night we had "Were Back Mystery Cruise" for our car club. They were shocked and so happy to see us. We had a BBQ for 47 people. We served BBQ hamburgers, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, chips and zucchine cake.
Donna...So sorry to hear that your sil sister has passed. I will keep you all in my prayers. Your daughter's wedding was beautiful by the way.
Linda...Sorry to hear you lossed one of your furry friends. Hope you are having better weather. I'm really looking forward to a very mild winter for a change.
Denise...Sounds like Winnipeg and North Dakota are starting to get cold. time to pull the warm jammies out and snuggle.
I have an interview tomorrow working with adults with disabilities. I'm really hoping I get the job. I would work from 1 to 10 PM, and help them do their shopping, put their food away, cook/clean, and balance their checkbook. Also have an interview with PETCO on Thursday as a grooming assistant. I would be OK with it as well, but the other job is Monday through Friday, with benifits and holidays off. My hubby is at an interview with Oregon state Corrections, so cross your fingers.
Have a great evening.
Cheryl

Hi CHERYL . . . . . . So good to hear from you. Glad to hear you are settling in nicely and having a great time with the relatives and the old friends. for both you and DH to find freat jobs that you will really, really like. Don't be a stranger, now, you hear . . .
Good Morning to everybody else, too . . .
Glad I got to play in the sun yesterday. It is definitely not going to show itself today. Thought I was going to drown while putting out the garbage this morning. Oh well . . . just have to try to stay on the inside.
Have a great moving and shaking day . . . see you all soon . . .

Hi everyone,
Meowee, we both weigh the same thing. Isn't it wonderful? lol We'll be getting all the excess weight off us soon tho.
I started Curves on Wed. I just went around the equipment once to start out with. Tomorrow I plan on going too. Maybe next Monday I will go around twice. I'm very careful of my back. I put it out last time I went there, which was a month ago. I do the stretches beforehand now and afterwards.
