Evening Ladies...
Linda...Hope you are feeling better. Hard time of the year to be feeling yucky, when I'm sure you have a lot of things that need to be done.
Mama Bear.... Look forward to getting to know you.
Denise...Thank you for your kind words, and I have those senior moments more than I care to admit. I can't tell you how happy I am to be only 15 miles from my parent's instead of 1500. IF I was still living in North Dakota, I woud be going nut's, since I know I wouldn't be able to travel out. on your 2 lb loss and reaching your goal.
Pamatga...I can so relate to caring for our parents long distance. I was 1500 miles away until recently, and it use to drive me up the wall having to hear everything by phone. I hope that you will feel comfortable enough with yourself to attend the parties with your husband. I diffently know how you feel, since I weigh over 300. I have our first christmas party tomorrow night, and I plan on eating very light for breakfast/lunch. I know that turkey and yams are going to be served, and I will have a small amount of each. I also know that a veggie tray will be there as well and I plan on having plenty of carrots, broccoli and mushrooms to eat. I'm bring a lower version Pumpkin Cake Roll, so I will have a half of a slice of it and diet soda or water to drink.
We all here at 3 fat chicks are here for you. It's one day, one pound that we are all striving for, and YOU will reach your goal.
Donna... on your loss as well. Don't know how I did this week, couldn't make WW this morning, and DH has ths scales in his garage weighing packages that he has to ship out. Will see what happens when I weigh in next Friday. My brother filed a complaint against the nurse, and the doctor is aware of the problem. My Dad is doing better as of today, he asked me to fix him a second breakfast this morning, which I did. I also went out and got him some yogurt, and I hope he will eat it. He has thrush in his mouth from the antibotics, and still on oxygen. I think he is afraid to go off of the oxygen and see how well he breaths without it. Hopefully things will be different in a month. Thanksgiving was wonderfull, and my granddaughter's spent the night with us. I took them to see the Bee movie, very cute. As you can imagin, I Love being a Grandma. My youngest granddaughter calls me "Sugar Mama". She's three, and we have no idea where she got this from.
Dina...That is so awesome your Curves leader call to remind you to come exercise. I'm like Donna, I need someone to to get me going. I have to say I have been walking more, but I need to do it more often.
Well ladies, I have been busy this afternoon baking. I made 5 pumpkin cake rolls, and I still need to make the filling for them. I also need to boil eggs, since I'm also taking deviled eggs. Looks like we might have a chance of snow tomorrow and also high winds. Just makes the holidays that much nicer. Have a wonderful weekend. I know I will need it!!

Good Morning, Gang . . .
So good to hear from you CHERYL and glad to hear your Dad is rallying. Sounds like you are really going to have a great holiday season this year now that you are so much closer to your family . . .
Oh, MAMABEAR . . . I read on another thread that you are a Diabetic . . . so am I. I'm also a Moderator on the Diabetes Forum and I'd love to have you join us over there, too. Sometimes it can really help to discuss stuff with others that really understand some of the additional problems you are going through.
Anyway . . . I'm definitely feeling better this morning (stomach-wise) although now I seem to be sneezing a lot. Woke up sort of planning a trip to town to do a little shopping since I've been housebound since Wednesday -- but then I looked outside and then I heard the weather warnings . . . it it awful right now and we are supposed to be getting about 6 inches of that pretty white stuff today . . . so guess I'll hold off until at least tomorrow. Never a good idea to be on the roads during the first major snowstorm of the season.
Found some cute little food-related quizzes in my in-box this morning and rather than repeat the link, I decided to start a special little thread for them. Have a look if you get a chance. One just sort of feeds into the others and they are all pretty fun and full of surprises.
Hope you all have a great day . . . I'll be looking forward to seeing you all later. Keep things moving and shaking, gang . . .

Good Morning,
We're having a small dump of snow today. 10-15 cm (4-6 inches). It's actually quite nice. It does seem to put you in the Christmas mood. However, my workout today will be shoveling the walks and driveway.
Welcome Mama Bear. It's always nice to have someone new to chat with.
Not too much new here.
Talk soon,

Hi there . . .
Certainly glad I got most of my errands run during yesterday's 'lull between the blizzards' -- it's very ugly outside today. This is getting downright annoying. Guess I'll try to get most of my Christmas wrapping done while it's quiet.
Hope everybody else is having a great day of moving and shaking . . .

Hi ladies,
I seem to be having trouble with this site. I can't get to page 5, so I don't know what anyone wrote now. Sure hope that everyone is doing good.
I've reached 227...keep going up. I didn't get on the scale this morning tho. I didn't have any ice cream today (which is unusual), but I feel, at the moment, that I can drop it completely. I'm not missing it. Thank God. I did have some cool whip today. I'll try and cut that out too...but it is much less calories than ice cream.
I've been busy, busy, busy today. I'm sure to have burnt off some calories.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
I'll keep working on page 5, but I don't know if I'll be able to see it.
Dina

Hope the site gets more cooperative, DINA . . .
Hi there everybody . . .
We are supposed to be having a litte respite from snow today -- and boy do we need it. This is my bi-weekly garbage day and unless my plow guy shows up pretty early, I'll be hanging on to it for another two weeks because there is no way I'll get anything to the road right now.
My diabetic cat, Jazz, appears to have pulled another miracle out of his stash of extra lives. He had a couple of very nasty seizures last night and was still quite 'out of it' when I went to bed. Honestly didn't expect him to greet me this morning, but he is pretty much back to his normal self again. Not moving around too quickly, but eating and drinking and steady on his paws.
Nothing else going on around here . . . hope to finish up my Christmas wrapping and (if I can get the car out) make a post office trip later on this afternoon.
Have a great moving and shaking day, everybody . . .

Good morning ladies, I am just running by to say "HELLO". This has been a crazy week at work and it doesn't look like it's going to get any less so any time soon. We have 3 post op rehabs due to start therapy anytime in the next week so I have to make room for them in my schedule. Oh well, that is job security
MAMA BEAR: Welcome to our little group. Look forward to visiting with you.
Hope all of you that are having bad weather are ok. We are supposed to get some rain and snow tonight and tomorrow again.
Got my house all decorated now and my fudge made. DH took a tray of goodies to work yesterday and we took one to a neighbor. I like getting it out of my sight.
Have a great day everyone, I will be back when I have a little more time.
DONNA

Afraid my earlier exuberance about Miracle Kitty has proven to be a little premature. Jazz had a massive seizure/stroke late this morning and has gone to that 'better' place now. . .

Evening Ladies,
Linda, I'm so sorry to hear Jazz has gone to kitty heaven. I know you will miss him very much. Did you get your driveway plowed?
Donna, Got my Rum Ball cookies made this afternoon, and I got the spice drops cut and ready to make a batch of Sugar Plum cookies tomorrow or Friday.
I've been pretty busy taking my parents to doctor appointments this week. My Dad has a stress test tomorrow and Friday to see if his heart suffered any damage and to see if he can start rehab to build his lungs back up.
DH had two interviews today, and we are very hopefull that something will come from this.
I'm sure you saw on TV our storms that we had. We have a lot of limbs and leaves to pick up, plus we need to clean the rain gutters out, but we faired better than some people who still can't go home because of flood waters, no electricity, phone or home.
I've done pretty good sticking to my program this week, but I haven't weighed myself. Don't know if I will make WW since my Dad has a test I'm taking him to Friday morning, besides he is more important right now.
Finally got some sewing done today. Finished a baby quilt, now I need to get it sandwiched so I can quilt it. Trying to get it done by next Wednesday, so it's done in time for the baby shower my daughter is going to.
Have a good evening,
Cheryl ~

Hi Cheryl . . . thanks for your kind thoughts . . . and no I still hven't been plowed -- the guy finally called to say "Gee, guess I forgot to tell you I won't be doing snow this year" . . . so now I have to find somebody new. Certainly glad I have four-wheel drive. You are absolutely right that your Dad is more important than WW right now. Glad to hear you came through the storms okay and good luck to DH with those interviews.
Hi there to everybody else . . . see you all later, gang . . .

Hi Linda...Sorry to hear you have to look for a new guy to plow snow this year. I'm happy to say I won't have to deal with that job this year, I hope! Salem doesn't usually get snow, and when it does, it's only for a couple of days. Of course the people out here don't know how to drive in snow and ice like those of us that have to deal with the that kind of stuff six months out of the year. LOL!!!
Not a good day for me, I've been up since 4am, and at the hospital with my Dad. Thought he was having a heart attack, but thank God it was only a torn muscle from coughing so hard. He is being kept overnight to make sure that is the only problem. I told him that was a nice way to get out of his stress test!!
Haven't had anything to eat except a blueberry muffin and a diet soda, which isn't a good thing. Have a meeting/dinner this evening, so I made stuffed mexican shells to serve, along with a toss salad.
Have a good evening.
Cheryl
