We Are Off to July Challenge!
But like some of the others, I don't plan the day before...so
Today 05/02/07
B: Slim Fast low carb choc Diet drink ( I was running late!)
L: 1 slice diet wheat bread, 1 tblsp. light miracle whip, 2 oz smoked turkey (I prepared, not lunch meat) tomato slice, onion slice, lettuce. Tea & water
D: 3 oz steak, lean, 1 whole wheat low carb/low fat tortilla, lettuce, tomato, onion, 1 tblsp light miracle whip. I made a greek gyro, good!!!! water
Snack: 1/2 cup low cal ice cream.
I have had 54 oz water and will complete 64 oz before I go to bed.
I did no planned exercise today however...I walked from one end of the mall to the other and back. When I got home I ran the vac, spotted my carpet, and ran the carpet cleaner over LR, DR, hall and one bedroom! Plus planted some plants in my flower garden! So did I exercise? My body says I did!
I will probably do a running menu here on this post for the week rather than a new post each day.
05/03/07 (Thursday)
B: diet toast 45 cal, f/f cream cheese 50 cal, strawberry jam 20 cal. yogurt 45 cal, coffee with creamer, 20 cal.
L: Wrap= 1 tortilla W wheat , 50 cal, baked chicken 155 cal, lettuce, onion, tomato 50, tea
D: Mexican chicken taco salad? probably too many calories. water and coffee.
Water: 65 oz.
No formal exercise...just did lots of running around. I go to TOPS (support group on Thursdays) lost 1.5# for the week.
Fun: visited with old friend that I haven't seen in years...lots of remembering!!!
05/04/07
B: Coffee, creamer, cereal. f/f milk, banana
L: w/w tortilla, 2 oz chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, spray dressing, yogurt,
water, white tea with honey.
D: steak (3oz) baked potato, f/f sour cream, large salad, water, tea
Snack: 3 graham crackers with strawberry cream cheese.
05/05/07
B: coffee, creamer, w/w toast with 1 Tblsp PNB, yogurt
L: Taco Salad (I made) toasted w/w tortilla, ground beef (94% f/f) with taco seasoning and garlic, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, low fat cheese, salsa.
D: chicken, baked 3 oz., 1/4 cup b. rice, marg. 1 tsp. large salad with spray dressing.
Snack: 1/2 cup No Sugar Added ice cream.
49 oz water+other no calorie beverages.
I walked about 1.5 miles with a friend.
For fun, my husband and I sat on the porch and rocked and talked! I also worked on a project with a friend.

Okey-dokey. If we don't have any weight goals attached, I think I can give this a try. I'll make my end date the 4th, so I can play a little catch-up with those of you who have already started.
Today:
Food:
B - Fiber One cereal, 4 oz. skim milk, one cut up banana, 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
L - Chili left over from supper last night (made with left over roast pork, chopped onions & peppers, crushed tomatoes, Smart Balance red sauce, chili seasoning, red kidney beans and sliced black olives)
Mid-afternoon snack - an apple
D - Baked seasoned chicken breast (baked with skin, but peel it off to eat - it holds the seasoning better ) small baked sweet potato, tossed green salad w/spray-on Asian Silk (ginger) dressing (Yum - and only one cal. per spray!)
Evening snack (maybe) - popcorn (Reddenbacher's Smart Pop - 15 cal. per cup)
Exercise:
Bike ride - 30 minutes (Yay! It's sunny again today!)
Fun:
Taping around my bathroom tiles for final painting (Work for some people, fun for me!) And, JAY says (I think) that I'll be burning 300 calories an hour with that bending & stretching in the bathroom!
THEN - it'll be G'nite, all.
See ya later, Gators!

Hi everyone, I think it is great fun to read what everyone is eating...lots of good ideas for all of us.
We are off for our week-end trip tomorrow so I have no idea of my week-end eating but I sure will try to eat a lot of fish & chicken and get in as much walking as possible.
Everyone have a great week-end and I'll check in when we return.

Hi Everyone!
I'm pretty much a free spirit, so I fly by the seat of my pants most of the time. Since retiring I plan VERY LITTLE, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THAT! I will be popping in to read what everyone is eating and doing for exercise and fun, but I am choosing to take a bye with the challenge. I DID want to wish you all good luck in posting all the details every day until July! Whew! Lotta work there!
For the record, I eat between 1200-1800 calories a day. I exercise twice a day doing a variety of things including yoga, Pilates, HipHopAbs, Turbo Jam, WATP, Core Secrets (exercise ball routines), and free weights. I try to eat something healthy like yogurt, fruit, or bran crisp crackers for my snacks, and I eat something every three hours. I drink a lot of water. For fun I garden, go to our son's track meets, read, visit 3 Fat Chicks, spend time with my family, cook, bake, and "play" outside by walking, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.
Will see you guys in the regular GOLDEN GIRLS thread!
Cheryl
