Thursday's Journal
Calories... 1,169 (I was too full to eat my almonds to reach 1200)
Fiber... 60 grams
Exercise... Many hours in the kitchen cooking
Fun... I played 4 games of computer "500" and my computer partner and I won all 4 games
Menu:
Early Morning:
Vitamins/Fish Oil (60 calories) I hate that!
30 grams of Fiber One, eaten dry
Brunch:
Cinnamon French Toast made with 3 slices low cal wheat bread, 2 egg whites, 2 T. Vanilla soy milk, vanilla and cinnamon/Splenda.
2 slices Turkey bacon
2 T. SF maple syrup
Snack: Applesauce Fluff with FF Cool whip and 15 grams Fiber One
Supper: 4 oz. smoked turkey breast
Apple Cinnamon cole slaw
Herb Mashed Potatoes
Applesauce /Fluff with FF Cool whip and 15 grams Fiber One
Evening snack: 100 cal bag Kettle Corn
Glass of skim milk
4 oz. Applesauce with SF Cool whip and 30 grams of Fiber One.
I eat Fiber One on everything, DH made the comment that I had weird taste buds. But! Last night he made himself a banana split and tossed some Fiber One over the top of the cool whip and he said it was delicious! Sweet and Crunchy!
P.S. JayJay, I finally found the edamame beans in the freezer section but I don't know what to do with them?

Bobbi - not sure what the directions are -- if they are in the pod you can just microwave them and then you eat them out of the pod. DO NOT eat the pod. Sprinkle a bit of salt on the pods - -these are served here in the restaurants as an appetizer. The soy beans are soooo good. If they aren't in the pods just use them like you would peas or lima beans. Lean Cuisine has a new spa meal Sesame Chicken (I think) that has the beans in the meal. I just love them because one they taste good and second they are extremely good for you!!!
Enjoy!!!!

Rehash today:
I have 70 minutes of exercise in today.
Yesterdays calories were about 900 as will be todays and tomorrows.
menu for every day this week will be:
4 program meals, and turkey burger with 1/2 cup cooked veggies.
(Yes, I am in transition, and will be off the program meals in about a month, until then the menu is pretty boring.)
exercise goals for Sat. 30 minutes recumbent cross trainer and 30 minutes walking.
Fun for tomorrow......I decided to make a jelly fish for the frig and add tenacles with every goal met. With each 5 pounds I lose I will add a tenacle with a 5# wt picture, at 50 pounds lost, I will add a tenacle holding a picture of a George Forman grill....and I will make up more rewards as I keep adding tenacles. It should be fun, and a reminder of all the work it takes to get a tenacle.
Tornado watch on for tonight....weather seem ripe for such stuff.
Hello to all &

Since I have finished with my meals today I thought that I would go ahead and post my Fridays post on the right day!
Breakfast: Slimfast Optima Shake
Lunch: Slimfast Optima Meal On The Go Bar
Dinner: Roast beef (1 ounce) Potatos(1/2 cup) Carrots (1/2 Cup) Tossed salad with Zesty Lite Italian Dressing.
Exercise: I walked around the shopping center while I was waiting for a comforter to wash and dry. Enjoyed the walk but don't think it was great exercise.

Hah! <looking around> Looks like I'm the first one up this morning! (AS USUAL; I can't seem to sleep once the sun is up and shining through the mini-blinds in my bedroom!)
Okay:
Food for today (Saturday):
Breakfast:
Fiber One cereal with blueberries & a sliced banana, 4 oz. skim milk (What a surpise, eh???)
Lunch:
Broiled scrod, mashed cauliflower, tossed salad
Snack: Either popcorn or dry Fiber One. (I noticed that you eat it dry, Bobbi - I tried it last night for a little snack, and it was YUMMY. Didn't leave any little kernally-things stuck in my teeth, either I usually have to run & brush my teeth as soon as I eat my popcorn).
Dinner: Chicken salad made fresh with chopped celery & low-fat Miracle Whip in multi-grain high fiber/low cal tortilla
Snack: Prolly dry Fiber One again, or popcorn, or no snack, depending on how I feel.
Exercise:
30 minute bikeride in the AM; 30 minute bikeride in the afternoon.
Fun:
Shopping with DD & DGD, more painting in my bathroom, lunch out with DH, enjoying the sunshine & playing wif' my khats.
Have a loverly Saturday, oh GOLDEN ONES!!!!
Ella

Good Rainy Morning!
Saturday we had to dog sit our DD's 100+ pound male Golden Retreiver and Tiffany didn't get home until late so we didn't get our BarQ rib dinner started. Therefore we just ate leftovers and my calories were very low.
Saturday's Journal:
Calories.. 976 (Yes, I know Suzanne, don't preach)
Fiber... 60 grams
Water... 11 glasses (8oz. each)
Exercise... Tending Chickens and worked on Quilt (My fingers got the exercise)
Fun... I played a 4+ hour of "Bookworm" on the computer. Geez, I thought it'd never end but I got my best score yet, that was fun! Another reason I was low on calories, I couldn't get away from that exciting game.
Saturday's menu
Breakfast:
Vitamins/Fish Oils
Fiber One, dry
4oz. Apple Cole Slaw
Snack: Coconut Fluff w/ff cool whip and Fiber One on top
Lunch:
Smoked Turkey
2 slices low cal bread
lettuce and mustard
Cabbage Soup
Supper:
Left-over Salmon Burger w/Dill cucumber sauce
Cabbage soup
Evening snack: 100 calorie kettle corn
8 oz. skim milk
Coconut Fluff w/ff cool whip and more Fiber One
P.S. Mickey, I'll post my recipe for Apple Fluff late this afternoon. I have to get ready for church now and we'll be gone until late this afternoon. It's basically the same recipe I use for Pineapple Fluff, I just substitue Applesauce, Maple extract and SF Maple syrup. But I'll get the recipe posted later today. It's really low in calories for the large portion you get.
