Good Morning!
I'm watching a Indigo Bunting on my bird feeder as I'm typing this post, beautiful bird. Yesterday we had 8 bright yellow males and two female finches fighting to get on the finch feeder. I see the sweeties are back, I should purchase another feeder, mine only has 6 perches.
Thanks for the recipe Mickey, I have some frozen peaches in the freezer, I'll try the recipe with the cinnamon. Is there a cake brand that's lower in calories than others? Does anyone have a homemade recipe for cake using splenda? Oh, dummy me. The splenda site has lots of recipes, I'll check that out and let you know.

Didn't do well over the weekend!
I didn't write anything down...I didn't overeat. Just didn't make the best choices. I ate way too many sweets! Don't think I went over 1250 calories a day...just poor choices for what I did eat!
We were at the lake, so I got plenty of exercising in. Lots of walking! Worked in flower bed, burned trash, made a 'billion' trips from the house to the shore line. Plus walked down the road about 2 miles to look at the foundation of a new home that is going up. Then about half that far to see some neighbors who we have only seen once since last fall when we closed up for the winter.
Thursday, I leave again and will be back on the 20th. But will eat more wisely on that trip as I am going to our TOPS State Recognition Days in Waco TX. It is hard not to eat correctly when you have that many people watching you. LOL
Today 05/14/07
B. Slim fast 190, coffe/creamer 30
S. yogurt 45
L. chicken salad sandwich 250 (I made the C. salad and had it on ww tortilla50 cal.)
S. green tea, jicama slices, crackers, laughing cow cheese. 150
Dinner. chicken strips, yellow and zuchinni squash sauteed with olive oil cooking spray, 1/4 cup brown rice, 1 pat margarine.
I haven't added the calories, but don't think I did bad.
Has any one tried cinnamon capsuls to lower sugar level? A friend of mine has just started taking them, hoping to lower her glucose. I eat cinnamon on a lot of things, but had never heard of the capsuls.
More tomorrow!
Wanda

Good Morning!
My calories were low yesterday because I spent the whole day up in my MIL upstairs rummaging thru 60 years of junk. We're going to have a huge rummage sale this summer and I have lots to do over there. She doesn't have much food in the house, she gets "meals on wheels", has nothing low in calories. She did insist I have some cookies and brownies which I politely refused. I'm headed out again this morning, will take lunch with me again today, only more of it.
Monday's Journal
Calories... 1,066
Fiber... 52 grams
Water... 11 (8oz) glasses
Exercise... running up and down the stairs all day
Fun... Rummaging thru closets and dresser drawer and finding hidden treasures!
Vitamins/Fish Oils
Fiber One, dry
Lunch: FF turkey hot dog
mustard/dill pickles
low cal bun
Supper: DH had a large salad with Albacore Tuna waiting for me when I got home. I did a no-no and gulped it down in 5 minutes, I was starved!
Sesame Ginger dressing
dry Fiber One sprinkled on top of salad
Toasted Flat Out topped with pistascho pudding and FF cool whip
Evening snack: Kettle corn (100 cal bag)
8 oz. skim milk
P.S. Lynn, are you keeping track of how many times the challengers are reporting in or are we doing that ourselves?

Hmmmm. Mother's Day seems to have set some of us (me) back a bit in our posting on this here challenge-thingie. Well, I'll attempt to make amends.
Yesterday - Mother's Day
Food -
breakfast - none; had too much to do; bad choice, I know
lunch/supper-ish (we were at the cookout from @ noon til' six-ish) - five grilled chicken wings - seasoning but no barbecue sauce; a 50 calorie tortilla w/chicken salad & a handful of salad greens; two dishes (about seven or eight stalks per dish) of fresh asparagus right out of the next door neighbor's garden and steamed), some nibbles of raw green pepper & cucumber from the salad. THEN, when we got home, a cup of Fiber One cereal with a sliced banana and about a quarter cup of fat free skim milk.
Exercise - 30 minute bike ride in the AM
Fun - The cookout
Today - back to normal eating
Breakfast - a cup of Fiber One cereal, cut up fresh strawberries, a sliced banana, a quarter cup of fat free skim milk.
Snack - an orange
Lunch - TWO 50-calorie tortilla wraps w/ thin sliced deli ham, a handful of salad greens, and mustard
Supper - baked chicken breast, small baked sweet potato, steamed brocolli
Snack - Maybe popcorn
Exercise - 30 minute bike ride (leaving in a few minutes)
Fun - being home from work, riding bike
