I am challenging myself to eat no more than 1900 calories for 21 Days. I'll post my results on this thread intermittenly (maybe daily, but at least weekly).
The parameters of my personal challenge are that the calorie level must be no more than 1900 in a 24-hour period and that the successful days must be consecutive. I count my weight management "days" from midnight to midnight.
This is DAY ONE. Edited my challenge rules to add three "free passes" before starting over. Details are in a subsequent post.
All are welcome to join in and set their own 21-day challenges related to weight management and fitness.

21 consecutive days under 1900, with a once a week option to go higher than 1900 (if option not taken, it is gone, can't do it later).
Meanwhile, I will try to distract myself away from food as much as possible.

I just realized that this doesn't fit in any category of my challenge (under 1900 or over 2000), lol.
I don't know what I was thinking...
So I am going to edit my challenge option from +2000 to +1900.
And I did take my +1900 option last night for dinner at Italian restaurant.
Already at 2520 cals for Day 2, but instead of calling it quits and starting over, I am amending my challenge to increase my chances of success (and success is my real object here).
I'm adding three one-time-use-only "FREE PASSES" to the parameters so that I can keep going and not get into a negative place about this challenge, which is supposed to be fun and supportive of my goals, not an exercise in continually starting over like a ping pong ball.
So, using one FREE PASS, I am calling Day 2 a qualified success and moving on to tomorrow, which is Day 3.
I'd love to join. My goal is to work out 5 days/week and stay under 1,600 calories 6 days a week and under 2,000 on my "cheat day". I started logging calories again yesterday and was at 1,588 for the day with a workout. My Fitness Pal has me at 1200 calories (without exercise factored in) to reach my goal of 1.5 pounds of loss/week but I just think that is entirely too low and don't want to send my body into starvation/storage mode. Edit: I wanted to add my starting weight of 166.
Day 1 (12/30): 1588 calories, 40 minutes DDP yoga.

I'd love to join! My calorie goal is 1673, so 1900 is actually pretty perfect for me also. I think I'll allow myself three passes also, BUT on the days I use my passes I have to exercise for at least 30 mins. I'll count yesterday as day one :-).

So tonight is new years eve and my DH and step daughter and I are spending the evening at home. I will toast the new year and we have a nice dinner planned. So I have a feeling I'll use my first pass tonight :-).
