I think we should do St. Paddy's Day and Memorial Day! I kind of like having both short term and long term goals. Short term gives me more of a sense of urgency and accountability. Long term lets me dream of achieving where I want to be, but sometimes gives me permission to slack off, since I still have lots of time to get back on track.
I'm with guac, let's do both. I plan to participate in both..maybe I'll make my Memorial Day goal more exercise/running focused as I'd like to do a half-marathon in May.
Also, curleycarr's bday is St. Paddy's Day, so that must be part of the challenge name!
zumba, are your schools closed again? We went back on a 2 hour delay today. Sounds like you're being much more productive around the house than I was. Don't be so hard on yourself for some nights out and some carbs..enjoy your single time!
Scale was down just a touch today..trying to be very good today and tomorrow and hoping for a kind weigh-in on Thursday. No food-centered V-Day plans here.
Looking good ladies! Terrific job everyone! I still have 2 more days to exercise/work at eating right but I've done my last pre-V-day weigh-in. Looking good (of course why is it my first thought is darn I was hoping for more?) and hopefully I'll make my goal for the 27th. Here is my results for this challenge:

Woo hoo! Have successfully done the exercise and eating. I'm 2.2# to go to make my 10# goal for Feb. 27th. Of course the next 2 weekends are going to be the hardest part of this whole time being out of town and on the road part of the time.
Quick check in from conference. I'm eating pretty ok, and walking a ton (taking stairs over escalators all over conference center), but the beer is going to probably kill my final goal weight. And, DH wants to go away this weekend, which means more restaurants and drinks! I am just going to have to be super vigilant for St. Paddy's/curleycarr b-day challenge!!
Its not Vday but Fat Tuesday that is tripping me up. I HAD to have a Paczki (pronounced punzhki I think but I am not Polish). Ya know they only sell them this time of year, so how could I pass them up.
How about an Easter challenge, because St. Patrick's Day is so close. Either way, I'll be in. Probably with a weight goal in mind this time.
I tried to meet my goal today by running 5 minutes on the treadmill at 6.0mph. I just couldn't make it, and had to slow down with 50 seconds left. Will try again tomorrow or Thursday.
I'm all for st Paddys challenge and after that Memorial Day........I'm so sad that I screwed up this challenge....
Took my supplements today, drank more water than normal, and managed to keep away from pancakes and cupcakes that I made today for the kids. I ave been keeping away from sugar....keeping away from bread hasn't been so easy,,,,I had two garlic knots ....boooo.....let that be my only bad move....! No workout today but I cleaned all day..my kitchen is sparkling.....my legs are aching.....hope I burned off some calories....
Hello ladies! Well, it doesn't look like I am going to reach my goal weight by tomorrow, but I have made significant progress, so I not going to complain. It would be cool to hit 152-153, but TOM is here full force and I don't think the bloat will be gone for another few days.
One day to go till heart day! Let's go out with a bang!
Tuesday: ~1450 calories(left my notebook home), 25 min stairclimbing, 40 min elliptical
What made me proud: No ice cream tonight
Valentina chicas!!! Last day of the challenge! Last chance workout today! Think ahead to stepping on that scale or getting out that measuring tape tomorrow!
guac, you have made GREAT progress! Hope the scale is kind tomorrow.
sum, you poor thing! Rest up!
zumba, don't look at it as screwing up. Think of all the positives for the month. Think of the workouts you did and all the foods you resisted. Imagine where you'd be if you hadn't done any of that...
curley, you sound awesome, can't wait to see where you end up. and then it will be time for your birthday challenge, and maybe you will get something fabulous to wear to celebrate!
june, good job on the treadmill, speeding up my running is going to be one of my goals for the next challenge as well. For now I'm still doing 5mph on the treadmill, although it works out more like 5.5 when I run outside, which I can't do with all this freaking snow!!!
jennifer, good on you for finding ways to sneak exercise in! Not easy...
luv, things are looking GREAT for you to make that 10 lb goal for February..such awesome work.
I'm home and exhausted. I'm not looking forward to weighing tomorrow, but I remain hopeful I didn't put on much. I guess I'll know in the morning. Either way, I'm less than when this challenge started!
