Today was our Bible study workshop which basically means meetings all day. April was very happy to see me because I normally don't stay gone for more than a few hours at a time!

Hi everyone.

I am a sub-contractor that works out of my house & picked up two new clients this week, so it has been kind of hectic & busy this week. So far I am doing great on the eating. I haven't gone over my calories & have decided to only weigh on Fridays because I don't want to obsess over the scale. Hope everyone is having a good week & I promise to check in more often.

Weigh-in day for me and I lost 1.4# this week, so heading in the right direction! Need to work on getting some more protein to keep me from being so hungry though.

Hydra - Congrats!!!

Morning all, yesterday was great and onplan, went to play tennis with hubby last night and it started raining and then we learned the courts where we play are all locked now and you have to pay to play so very dissapointed. Food was good, but forgot my leftover chicken for lunch today. always make one extra peice of chicken for work the next day, or breakfast.

Hydra - congrats on the extra broccoli you added, that is awesome.

PP - what is the theme of your upcoming bible study for the year?

Hi all! Sounds like everyone is doing great!

I've been cooking alot, having my own meals handy is great and keeps me on track. I think I'm in a weight range that my body is happy with, 114-117lbs. I seem to be in between this range for the last 2 mo. and it's not torture to keep my weight down. It's easier than trying to maintain 108lbs!

Hey all! Doing pretty good here, and hoping to keep it up and stay on plan for the weekend.

Hydra-I believe your doctor is correct about the Vit. D. I've read that most sunscreens inhibit the absorption of Vit. D. You might do some research, I know there are articles out there. BTW-Congrats on the new brocolli!! You have done great!

FL-I am so glad you found a comfy weight range that you are realistically able to maintain.

I'm am making a comitment to reach my goal (140) by Christmas. I really want to do it! I realized over the weekend how much I enjoy crossing my legs comfortably and want to keep it that way.

How often does everybody weigh? My thinking was that I would weigh once a week & that be on Friday mornings. I decided to do once a week so I would not be obsessing over the scale, I've done fine all week with eating but have been obsessing all day long about weighing tomorrow. If I had not left home this morning in a hurry to go to a meeting I probably would have weighed. I sat in my meeting this morning wondering how I could just run home & weigh before I ate anything. Is this even normal?

FL - so glad you found a weight you are happy with and is realistic for you!

Annie - i agree on the leg crossing I like doing that too.

had a good week, heading into the weekend on a good roll, keeps me motivated to do well on the weekend. Have a BBQ on Sat and I will use portion control and have a little bit of tasty bbq food. Also have a haircut so then I will want to keep looking and feeling well. I have not often got my hair cut more then once or twice per year and I am upping that to 4 times a year it is just such a splurge but it makes me feel prettier. I have long curly thick hair and it is easy to cut it myself inbetween the hairdresser but with age it is changing a little and needs some refining. Looking forward to checking in Monday with a good weekend report!

Ashley- thanks, Your doing great, i'm sure you'll do fine this weekend. But make sure you enjoy yourself, we only have one life!
Annie- thanks, it's been a long struggle. You live and you learn!

Just checked my records, my weight has been stabilizing for the past month & a half. It was around the same time I added more variety to my diet, did that do it? I'll never know.

Woke up with such pressure in my stomach & under my ribs, that I couldn't breath right. I hate that feeling, it scares me. After taking 4 antacids I just laid back in bed a while, hubby brought me a piece of bread, sometimes that helps. It helped a little. I get so nervous, you never know if it's a heart attack. When your in your 40's you start to get alarmed by this stuff. After a while I got up when it felt better, it still took 3 hrs. to go away, so I didn't take my walk. It was humid, I thought it might make my breathing feel worse.

I felt pretty good by the afternoon, but then I was getting hungry for lunch. I ate and it messed up my stomach again, then i was afraid to eat dinner, but I did. Didn't help the situation at all! Didn't do much of anything today, but I needed the break. Just putting around doing little things and suffering at the same time. What a sucky day!

B= 2 c milk, vits
L= salad, cereal
D= homemade Chicken BBQ Pizza {BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce!
S= Ice cream
S= cereal
E= I was all set to exercise then Mom called so I talked to her instead, I considered it divine intervention, LOL.

Ashley, we are going to study Revelation.

FL, hope you are feeling better

Timber, I used to weigh once a week. I weighed for a while to see what day I'm lowest overall then would only weigh that day. But I did a no-weight challenge and got out of the habit. Which actually feels pretty good!

I did weigh this morning & I am down 3 pounds. Of course I would have loved to be down 20 - well wouldn't we all?

My daughter & granddaughter are staying with me this weekend so I probably won't be back on the computer until Monday. I hope you all have a good weekend.

B= 2 c milk, vits
L= Red Robin 1/2 Cobb salad
S= ice cream
D= lefteover spaghetti, peas and carrots, 1/2 slice bread/butter {got cold!, yuck!}
S= rest of ice cream {mistake, but a yummy mistake!}
E= shopping? hmmm, maybe not!

We went to the Borders bookstore closing sale. I was able to purchase 3 knitting books; two of which I have been looking at for a while. Those two were on a different shelf from the rest of the knitting books, so I think someone "hid' them. But I'm happy to have them!

We slept very late again today, Hubby's not feeling well due to a sinus headache. I'm a little snuffly too, but feel okay.

Timber, good job on those three lbs

Hello

I'm rejoining this community after a long hiatus and a significant regain. I am trying to start doing the things that worked for me the first time - including posting here, and not just lurking.

I look forward to 'meeting' you all.

Hi, HeatherAngel, and welcome home!!

It's been a good weekend here. We met with a builder and are hoping for good news on the cost of building our home at fiance's place. We think we may need to cut LOTS of corners on budget though. We'll see spent alot of time yesterday at Lowe's getting ideas on materials, colors, etc. We'll see...

Food hasn't been too terrible for a weekend. Ate mexican Fri. night and had shrimp cocktail, chips, queso/salsa, tortillas. Yesterday had kids meal at Arby's (ham/cheese melt, baked Lays). Last night we did nachos w/ homemade salsa, bean dip and fruit salad on the side. No ice cream this weekend, YAY!

I recalculated an official calorie count on what I need to eat to lose one pound weekly. That number is about 1650 and I plan to stick as close to that number as possible to reach goal. I want to finish.

Have a good Sunday all!
