I did NOT do the healthiest eating yesterday, but I DID track everything, and I DID actually stay within my calorie goals. So not a complete loss. However, popcorn at the movie theater (without butter of course) does not a healthy dinner make! Aiming to do better today!

Really need to get outside and finish trimming the azaleas that should have been trimmed well before now, but it's been so damn hot. It's overcast and dreary out there now though & I don't feel like it.

Archy - I'm not sure if there's a tracker here or not. I played with Fitday a little yesterday, but I've got so many foods stored on Sparkpeople now I just don't feel like starting over! LOL

Patch - Your username sounds familiar too, but I can't place where. I was on 3FC regularly back in 1999-2000 or so in the 30-somethings group. There are several other forums I frequent that aren't weightloss related... Frugal Families is the only one where I might really be known though.

Real - I've made it a little over a month and a half without a cigarette so far. Hoping it sticks this time. I've quit for as long as 3 months before and started back. I started smoking when I was 16 years old, so it's been a long time.

Hi folks. Glad to see new and returning peeps. I appreciate the different paths everyone is taking. I'm still plateauing. For now, I'll have to go on a maintenance plan with occassional low cal days because I'm off for vacation--the annual trip to Minnesota. I did great two years ago after I'd lost lots of weight. Last year, I seem to recall maintenance then slowly settling in to weight loss after that. This year I'm going to try different kinds of exercise and try to splurge on healthy foods a lot. We have to keep spending down which really helps on the calorie counting.

Nothing exciting to report so far today. CBS Bible study starts next week and we leaders have our 'workshop' class this Wed to help us get back in the swing of things. I was called and asked if I would mind being a substitute leader this year, which I thought sounded wonderful. I get to be a social butterfly; I'll be part of a regular group, but will be asked to lead other classes as leaders go out of town or get sick. So I'll get to visit other classes and not have the responsibility of leading my own class each week.

Eagle, wasn't the 30's group, but good to see you again anyway.

RealMe, good job on the 5 lbs.

FL, sounds like a good weekend!

Eating was better yesterday, although still not fantastic. Again, calories not a problem, just what kind of calories I'm eating! Still working on it.

It's Monday and I don't want to be at work, but here I am.

iaradajnos - have a great trip!

FL - great job. not a goal I will ever set, because I know I couldn't do it! LOL

Patch - Had a thought based on your name, are you on Ravelry? I spend a lot of time there, although I don't post all that much.

Eagle, yes, same username. I still think it was here though. I haven't posted much on Rav either until the last few weeks.

B= 2 cups milk
L= salad, PBJ sand
S= peach, triscuits
S= cereal
D= 1776's 1/2 Ruben, 1/2 c potato salad
E= 40min boxing

Hubby and I went to 'Date Night' at the shooting range. Range time, ammo, and a two meals at the cafe, 1776, for $40. He was more interested than I was, there's only so much entertainment I can get from blowing holes in a piece of papter, so after I lost interest in shooting, I went to the cafe and watched Hubby shoot, while I knitted on a scarf. The Ruben was actually better than I expected.

Hi everyone. Just joined the forum and have been looking around and figuring out how to do things. Do you mind if I join your group? I posted an introduction/dysfunction rambling under the 40 somethings.

Bread, laundry, cardio, and a little cleaning today. My shoulders/upper back are sore but I'm not sure if its from the shooting, boxing, or both.

Dee, Love the dysfuntional rambling comment. Welcome, glad to have you join us.

Another day. Stayed up too late last night and slept through the alarm this morning, so late getting to work. Good thing we're in the slack time right now.

Still working on eating healthier in general. I've been packing my lunch so that helps. So far I've stayed out of my coworker's candy bowl for a week now, which is a record for me! I have to have something sweet every day, but I'm filling that need in a planned way rather than hitting the candy bowl.

I really need to work on getting in some more exercise. Trying to do little spurts here and there where I can as extensive exercise is still iffy until I talk to my back doctor again.

PWP - Shooting is great for relieving frustrations though! Although I'm with you, my DH can spend hours shooting. One box of ammo through the gun and I'm done. Unfortunately our range is a private one without a cafe, so I just bring the knitting as well and hang out and watch him.

HaTimber - Welcome! I'm new to the group as well, but jump right in.

B=milk, vits
L= Leftover chinese
S= cereal
D- leftover meatloaf, peas and carrots, bread with jam
S= ice cream, 1/2 brownie
E= 30min cardio/weights

Eagle, I keep waiting for someone to comment on my knitting in public but no one ever does. Little spurts can be just as effective as a 'full' workout.

Hey gang! Just a quick note. I have lots going on at work and at home right now, so haven't had much time to check in. I had a 3 day weekend with the boys and it was nice. Too much off-plan food for me, though. Back at it here now. Exercise is good, too.

We've had some rain several times in the last few days and it has been muggy, but I'm not complaining!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all, I read over the posts and just a quick note today, welcome to all who are new!
Friday Sat was really bad food wise, yesterday was onplan and today so far so good, having bbq chicken breast tonight. Got a walk in and doing same today.
Son needs to trade in his car for a truck and he was turned down on a few more expensive trucks (thank goodness) but found a few in his budget range but really needs his financing to go thru. He has a 09 mitsubishi but has half a front bumper so he is not getting what he could if it was in good shape. He desperatly needs a truck for work as he drives offroad and it is ruining his pretty white car. Praying he will get something today and be approved.

I put that silly scale away for several days and today it read 182 So I was able to add another broccoli to my signature, yay! That marks 70 lbs and I am very happy about that today. My birthday is in a little under two months and I hope to be at and maintaining goal by then. I am not sure if I mentioned it before but I recently got blood results back and everything is fine.....two years and everything is fine, I am relieved about that. At one point in my life my triglycerides were nearing 600 and that is a scary. Now my triglycerides are 188 and cholesterol is 156! Of course my doc had to find something askew and said my vitamin D was on the low side and wants me to sit in the sun for 30 minutes a day without sunscreen....um, hey doc, you still absorb vitamin D from the sun whether you use sunscreen or not
