AnnieDrews - A new haircut and great eyebrows can be a big pick-me-up! Plumbing issues are the worst...if I had to do it again, I think I would become a plumber. The work is gross, but those guys are in demand and make good money!

fruitlady I totally lose it when I am baking for others. My poor kids don't get any home baked goods except for holidays because I can't stop eating what I make!

patchworkpenguin I've got to start logging my food like you do. Maybe when the kids start school again.

Ashley777 Good work on the detox! You are showing real will power. You are doing great!

Now for a quick update on me. Went shopping for a reunion event coming up this weekend. I had been dreading it...ugh!! However, I found a fantastic dress (in a not so fantastic 16 - but still it was in a regular sized store! ) and matching shoes. When I got home, I tried the ensemble on for my hubby. His eyes popped out of his head!

Now, I suppose I should be offended, but he showered me with compliments (he actually said that he could see my waistline again - grrrr!). He told me I was gorgeous, sexy, and that this was the first time in years he actually was genuinely gushing over my appearance. Then he said he was scared that he had better lose weight fast to catch up with me!

Anyway, yes, all that gushing meant I really looked like crap before...but....the smile on his face and the look in his eyes did tell me that I am looking better and am on the right track!

So...I feel better about going to the reunion now!

Hello,
I am new here. Just started today. I am 40 something and so tired of being fat. I look forward to the comaraderie on this journey.

120someday - we are at the same weight. See all my dancing carrots at finally making it to this weight?

So....if you look at it from a different angle, you are just around the corner to being fit not fat! Keep reading and posting....this is a great support network!

120 - ! I think you'll find good support on here and inspirational stories and successes too. I am just beginning, again, and need support as well! and I'm 40-something just like you. Take everything one day at a time!

Annie - I bet you feel like a new woman! eeeeeeeeeeew! spiders!!

Penguin - sewing room = I do chair cushions, costumes for community theater (kid theater, 100-120 cast members and high schools), curtains, table runners.... almost anything. love my serger!! i can't knit to save my life though and believe me when I tell you, i have tried!

Ashley- thanks, your doing wonderful!
patch- thanks!
guac- yeah, I used to just bake around the holidays. But I love to bake, so when my daughter asks me to do it, I can't turn her down. LOL
Annie- hope everything works out for you.

We walked 42min, the weather was beautiful. Did real good with calories, maybe that will help me shed this water weight. Was cooking all night to get some pre made meals in the fridge, I'm pooped!

Fruit: Ugh, that is one thing I have to curb. I nibble while I cook too. But good job maintaining your healthy lifestyle in general!

guac: Clothes don't lie. Congratulations!

RealMe: Day by day. Looks like you and I are twins as we are at the same weight and have the same goal! *hugs

iara: Wow, 120 min. That's a nice ride! Enjoy your comments.

Annie: Nice 'me' time. Good luck with your plumbing issue!

Ashley: Sending supportive vibes ------>

My day:

I didn't get the exercise in that I wanted today. I am going away to a conference and am having visitors for 2 wks immediately upon my return. So, I spent the day preparing tax returns and sewing a faux leather slipcover for my rocking chair. However, on the food front I did well my first day on my IF woe. It felt great to be on a known schedule and I didn't even feel like eating until 7pm! Such a natural woe for me - nice to go with my body instead of against it. Tomorrow I want to get a 5 mi walk in. I miss it and really need it. Plantar Facialitis has had me in its grip, but I'm much better now and dancing too.

B: Coffee
L: Water
D: (Eating window 6p-10p)
Homemade Chunky Gazpacho x2 = 93
Tomato juice x2 = 83
Homemade oven Tandoori chicken (America's Test Kitchen, wow) = 200
Basmati rice = 106
Ice cream = 407

Total = 998 (259 under, but factoring in the fat for the ice cream, I'm not going to quibble)

B= 2 cups milk, vits
L= opps~ got busy online and skipped it
D= meatloaf, rosemary cheese potatoes, steamed broc
S= peanuts and choc chips
E= none but I did re-arrange my yarn stash, taking pictures and posting them online!

I was really hungry at dinner and kept nibbling at the potatoes, then polished off the rest of the broc as I was putting everything away. I didn't realize I had skipped lunch until after dinner.

Someday, welcome glad to have you join us.

Archy, glad to have you back

Guac, axcept the compliments and try not to think to hard about it. I'm sure Hubby didn't mean anything but good by his comments.

RealMe, when I found out sergers have two needles I got scared off, LOL. I have a nice sewing machine, with quilting stitches/free motion etc but that's as fancy as I get!

annie, hope no repeat of the spider incident. they should be afraid of you now!

archy- thanks!

Didn't walk too long today, only 25min. I really had no time, but I had to do squeeze it in somewhere. Did good with eating, now if I don't bake all weekend, I'll do fine.

It was a very stressful day, and yet I didn't have the pangs to stress eat. I feel very balanced and in control. But again I am under calories. Even though I didn't work out much today, I know that I need to consume more calories that that. Maybe I can sneak in another bowl of Gazpacho before the night's end. I am down a pound though!

I hope everyone had a good day today!

Thanks, it's great to be back!

Happy Saturday all! Tomorrow will be my first weigh in. I had a baaaaad food night last night (wine and food ) so I am super nervous about tomorrow. What if the scale goes in the wrong direction? I'll be devastated! I'm heading to the gym later today.

Do any of you guys have a favorite Multi vitamin, brand or other daily vitamins? I am thinking I should incorporate some.

Archy - we can do this!!! belly dancing? you go girl!

Penguin - good food choices!

Fruit - hope you had fun baking and got in some walks

Annie - hope things are going well. sending positive vibes!

Hello All!

Jumping in to this group to hopefully find a good support system for my weightloss efforts. I was an active member of 30-somethings about 11-12 years ago when I lost weight on WW. I got to goal and kept it off for a couple of years, but got married and got 2 kids, and well you know how it goes. Now it's all back and then some. I quit smoking a few weeks ago and realized I was gaining even more as a result, so it's finally way past time to get my @ss back in gear.

This time I'm just counting calories. I'm using Sparkpeople for tracking, but I don't much care for the way their support forums work, it's too hard to find anything. So I thought I would try 3FC again since it worked so well last time.

So far I've been tracking calories for a little over a week and I lost 3# in my first week, which was a nice motivator. Need to get back on the exercise wagon, but I have some back issues at the moment that limit what I can do, so just trying to fit little things in at the moment to be a little more active.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and supporting you as well!

LE

D: Tortilla= 240

Tofu = 100

NSV:
Still not nibbling while cooking and not eating beyond my dinner! I just don't feel like it!

RealMe:
Don't let the scale dictate your success. If it goes into the wrong direction, just turn it around. This is a lifestyle change, not a punishment. Yes, I've been bellydancing for over a year now and I perform with my class. I do not let my weight inhibit what I want to do since doing so would lead to inactivity! My goal is to join the advanced performance group next year (and buy a sword to dance with!) Sending happy vibes your way --------------->

Legal:
Welcome! I really enjoy using Fitday for tracking. Is there a tracker here too? Looking forward to getting to know you too!

b= 2 c milk, vits, pamprin, and leftovercheese potatos
S= cheese and triscuits
L= Pei Wei 1/2 Teryaki bowl {chicken brown rice veggies} Ice cream {later}
D= 2 slices bread "pizzas' {sauce, cheese, meatballs}
S= ice cream
E= none

Every once in a while I get REALLY bad symptoms of PMS when I ovulate. Yesterday and today were bad. I had a fuse about 1/4" long. I kept dropping things, snapping at poor Hubby and even April. Pamprin did help a little but the choc ice cream worked better. Grr!

In better news, April's leg is doing much better, she's hardly limping at all anymore. Crate rest is helping a lot, but she's getting pretty sick of being in here and when she gets to go outside {leashed} she's practically hyper.

Eagle, welcome glad to have you join us? We're you and I in another group together for a while?

Archy, wow on the sword dancing. I've seen preformances on Bhuz and Youtube, good luck.
