If I stick with my goal, I'm looking to be at 162.2 at the end of the month. I was at 158.4 this morning (!!). So, I'm updating my goal to be 158.4 at the end of the month, or below.
So far so good with the daily therapeutic walk.
I think maintaining after surgery would be a big accomplishment, since you can't do all of your normal activity. And that's fantastic that you saw a loss on top of that!
I'm doing pretty well staying on plan, which I'm trying to keep as my focus for the month. I didn't quite make my activity minutes on Monday, but got them all and then some yesterday, yay!
Yesterday, I was out and about all day when I wasn't at work.
In total, I ran for 2 miles & walked 9 miles (in 1 - 3 mile increments). Wow. This morning when I got up for my planned 4 mile run, my body said, "No way, sister." Instead, I did a sluggish run for a mile and took a relaxed 3 mile bike ride to work.
Walking is great for me. It doesn't feel like exercise & I do it for fun. Because I live in a big city, walking is always interesting. And the weather has been perfect.
My eating/exercise plan is continuing to work...I've dropped down to 135 even though I'm wearing jeans today. Usually I weigh myself in my lightest weight pants. But I can't wear those pants anymore- they are too baggy and fall down.
still doing well staying on plan with food, and getting in at least a minimum amount of activity almost every day. Still up slightly from my ticker weight but only .6 lb now.
Doing well here; 157.4 today, which is below my end-of-month threshold. I continue to walk each day. Trying hard not to overdo it, but tomorrow I will give driving a try. It will have been 12 days. Although maybe I'll wait until Sunday; it's not like I have someplace I'm burning to go, and I can't lift over 5 lbs.
1. Eating smaller portions of good food. (my previous goal was to move from processed foods to natural ones and now it is to eat less of the good stuff)
2. *blush* Refrain from eating in bed while I read or watch television EVEN if I have calories left. (This is HUGE for me... I DON'T want to give this up!)
*bleh*
So. There. I said it. I set a goal. Shoot. Now I gotta try to do it.
good goals!! I stopped eating in bed a while ago, and I do think it's a great thing. Because at least for me, if I was eating something in bed, it wasn't broccoli or something like that, you know? lol!
I had a nice whoosh on the scale this morning, down 1.4 to 223.0
That finally put me back below my ticker weight and made my chickie accurate again! I wasn't going to change my ticker but I started playing around with it because it wasn't showing - now they are both showing again, but the bottom one didn't register the difference. Hopefully, I'll have another drop tomorrow, even if a small one, and I can change the tickers again to see if they work!
Petra congrats on meeting your goal early. I am struggling because I am not getting much sleep lately. I know this is what is stalling weight loss for me. I am making the right food choices and have certainly decreased my food intake. I think I am going to change my goal now to getting more sleep.
I'm trying to keep my focus primarily on staying on plan, and I'm doing well with that. I've had a few days of not getting in enough activity but have stayed on plan with food and water. And I'm pleased to report a loss of 5.4 for the month so far, which finally brings me back down to a new low!!!
I tend to lose most of my weight the first half of the month, so I'm not sure how much more I'll lose this month, although hoping for 1.6 more to get below 220!

Here, I blipped back up slightly over 160 but have gotten back down into 159. My goal for the month was 158.4 or below and I feel that's doable. I’m still trying to figure out my new body. It seems like I need to drink more water at night, I wake up incredibly dehydrated, I think due to night sweats. I really need to push lower into the 150s so when my weight fluctuates, it still stays below 160. But overall, all is great here. I’ve been walking most days and plan to head out in a few minutes in between rain showers.
I know I haven't been around much lately. But I am maintaining good eating habits and stop in when I can.
