Welcome Jenimelt! Glad you are joining us. I guess losing 75 pounds at 19 may be easier than losing 10 at 45. Sad but true! But, I'm sure you can do it.

I don't have a lot of time this morning either. I really don't want to go to work today at all. I am looking forward to having the long weekend coming up. I think I might try to take off on Friday. That's my kids first day of summer vacation, so we might need to go swimsuit shopping... for them. Not for me, that would be scary.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Photo - Very small world - my Sister lives in Portland OR.

I live in NE Tacoma - so I go through Vancouver all the time.

Sorry to hear about your theft - stuff like that sure can make us feel violated.

Jenimelt - welcome - losing weight at 40 something is harder but you can do it - for me the accountability here has helped me with recording what I eat / do.

I too am off to get some exercise before work.. tough though night bout of insomnia..

Welcome Jen!

Boy Monday morning came hard today. I didn't want to get up. This morning so far has been a tangle of calls to the police, to the insurance company, to the company that *might* have security cameras in their parking lot. *sigh* I dropped $4500 on Saturday on replacement equipment and I'm not sure I'm going to get that entire amount back from insurance. But I really didn't have any choice in the matter.

Bleah. If anyone ever asks you why photogrpahy is so expensive, now you know! I think I made a negative $2500 this weekend. That's gonna make my accountant happy. *wry grin*

The bright side is that I didn't go out and buy a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips to assuage my feelings. (See, I can find the beam of sunshine there somewhere!) I'm still up 1.5 lbs from mid-last week, but I ate a whole lot of salty foods at the 2 weddings, so I'm not too fussed about it yet.

That's my Monday morning update. Hope all you other chickies had a great weekend!

.

Greetings to all. Look at this, it's 10:30 a.m. and I still feel as if I haven't really started my work day. I got into the office and right away had a meeting that just ended. And it's Monday...I'm always a little slow off the blocks on Mondays.

Diane - my son's b-ball team FINALLY WON THEIR FIRST GAME on Saturday. It was beyond awesome. You'd think they won the World Series. It was a good, close game - final score was 8-7, with lots of hitting by both teams. This was really a big boost to the team's morale. Not that winning is the sole purpose of playing ball - especially at their age! - but dang it, they earned it. I'm all for being competetive within the proper parameters. We might not win again for the rest of the season, and that would be OK. But at least the kids had their "moment."

Photo - I was distressed to hear that your equipment was stolen. How horrible. At least you are OK. Camera equipment is replaceable...you're not! But what a hassle afterwards...ugh!

Lovn - thanks for doing the Cystic Fibrosis walk. One of my favorite cousins and his wife are both carriers for CF and they are very involved in fund raising, etc. So it's a cause that directly touches our family.

Must run - if I don't do some hard core work in the next hour or so, I'll be even more behind the eight ball than I already am!

Morning girls.

It's a busy time of year for everyone. Daughter's softball team has regionals today. They have not had a very good season, losing a lot of games by 1 run. Poms has started again feel like that just finished. It did They practise a long time and they have a new coach this year. Their previous coach retired at the end of the season, was doing it for 20 years and she knew her stuff.

Welcome Jenimelt

We went swimsuit shopping this past weekend. A nightmare for me. I still have mine from last year and plan on wearing it. The pool will be opening soon and my youngest likes to go every day. By July I've usually had enough.

Our weather has finally got out of the doldrums and we will be in the high 80's by the weekend. It was perfect this past weekend. I don't like it too hot.

We went looking for lights and a new door for the kitchen. The door was easy but lights. No decision on that yet.

Photo sorry to hear about your equipment. Hope you get it resolved. I love your photo you put up of the flowers. I'm terrible with names of flowers.

Enjoy your Monday.

LetsGo: That's great that you son won a game. We have two games this week and tonight's game might be one that we can win. The other team has only one win (against us) and it was a close game, so maybe we can get a win. It would be nice for the boys.

Photo: Hopefully your insurance deductible isn't too big and you can keep your out-of-pocket costs down. It is frustrating to have to go through all of that.

Sillycat: I hope you were able to get some sleep last night!

It is hot here. All of a sudden our temps shot up and it is supposed to stay that way until Wednesday. Then, it should go back down into the 70's. I went walking yesterday, but it was hot. I was a little sweaty going back to work. You would think that it would keep people away... but no! I try to spruce up a little in the bathroom before going back to my desk. I asked for Friday off, so I'll have a nice 4 day weekend coming up. Yay!

Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I don't work in the office on Monday's so I don't post until Tuesday's.

Photo - those pictures are absolutely beautiful! Was the wedding on Jekyll at the chapel with the tiffany window or at one of the cottages? The floor looks beautiful! Do you live in South Georgia too? I'm sorry you had a fender bender. Hopefully it will all work out alright. And GOOD GIRL! Stay away from those sour cream and onion tater chips!

Lovn - sounds like you've had quite a busy Friday through Monday! I don't know how you fit it all in, I admire you for that. No wonder you've lost so much weight! Oh, and how was the Old Fashion Days? When my kids were in school, they called it "Field Day!" Oh, did they have a dunking booth? That was always my favorite!

Well I had my weigh in yesterday and I've lost an additional 5 pounds. They also did measurements and I've lost a total of 25 1/2 inches. So in two months I've lost a total of 24.5 pounds and those inches, so I'm rejuvenated!

I'm off to Tennessee this weekend to see my sister! I'm really looking forward to it! I've not seen my sister since my father died so we're well overdue!

Guess that's it for now - I'll chat with you ladies tomorrow!

Welcome Jen!

Way to hang in there Photo!

Yeah, the boys got a win. Letsgo, you must be really happy! Doing the walk was my pleasure.

Clyde, This time of year is crazy busy! Hang in there, it's all fun.

GT, Great job on the weight and inches loss. Woo Hooo!!!

Diane, I wish it were hot here. We're back to barely 50* today and mostly cloudy. I'll try not to complain when it does hit 80*!!!

Hubby and I had a blast. We ended up in Black River Falls at the casino. We gambled, had dinner out and a few drinks, then retired to a hot tub suite. Just got home and am feeling rejuvinated. Good thing too, I'm off to Circus World Museum with the 2nd graders tomorrow. I love that trip though!!

Hope you've all had a great Tuesday!

I'm off to the circus and the park with my son and his class today. I always love this trip. My BIL is driving the school bus so my SIL is going to follow and take their pre-school age children today too. We should all have a really good time.
You guys have a nice Wed as well.

Lovn, you are always doing such fun things!

LetsGoMets - my husband is a huge Mets fan. I have had to give up my Braves fanhood to prevent marital strife. LOL

I have been doing nothing much but getting up, getting my workout done, feeding everyone, cleaning house and going back to bed a few times a day. My dot started, I am going so hard I can't hardly move lol, I am so tired I can't stand it and yet haven't slept much in three days. Sorry i haven't been chatting much. Don't even have the energy for that. See everyone is doing pretty well. Hope you all have a great day.

Photo
Sorry about the loss. That has to really be rough. Costs a ton of money and what a pain to have to replace everything. Sure hope your out of pocket costs end up being very low.

Slash
I do the same thing and this site is MY site. I don't want everyone coming here. My gosh, they would be asking me to do things in their posts lol. When my daughter went to kings island she had a blast. She calls me and tells me about this ride she just rode..." Oh mom it was so funnnnnnnnnnn. You lay on the thing and go back wards and it holds you in....." OH MY GOSH I didn't even let you cross the street by yourself until you were 17 and you call me with this story. Are you trying to KILL your poor mother.

Lovn
Sounds like you had a great time. Looks like you have another great trip coming up. I loved doing that stuff with the kids. Think we are going to go to the zoo with them this weekend. We love the zoo lol go there several times a year lol.

Jen
Hello and welcome. I haven't found it hard to lose weight and I am 45 so get that right out of your mind. It is coming off slowly but steady and that is the best way.

Letsgo
Tell your son I said congrats on his win.

Clyde
Hope you find what you are looking for. I have looked and looked for a bathing suit. Have to get one because I have lost so much weight since last summer that the one I had is falling off me and I wore shorts and a tank top most of the time anyway.

gt
What is quite an accomplishment. I didn't know it was possible to lose that much weight in such a short time. Congrats. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

LetsGo: Guess what!?? My son's team won their first game last night! I think your son's team started it off for us! It was extremely close and exciting and I was so glad to get a win. My son had a good game. He was catcher and got a couple of batters out at home plate. Gotta love that. This one play he chased a runner back to 3rd, tagged him before he got there (so he was out), but their feet got tangled and they fell, with my son landing on top. My son is a big kid and the other boy was not, so thankfully, he wasn't hurt. It was kind of comical to see, once we figured out the other kid wasn't hurt. We have another game tomorrow night.

It is supposed to cool down some today and then really cool down tomorrow, going back to the high 60's. Back into the 70's by the weekend.

Lovn: I had heard it was pretty cool in your part of the country. Hopefully it will warm up some for you!

Rennie: Hang in there. I know that feeling of being so worn out from that special time of month. I hope you get to feeling perky soon!

Hi all -

Diane - how cool is that, that both teams now have a victory???? We were supposed to have a game last night, but it was raining like mad and only in the mid 40's, so the game's been postponed to this Friday. We are in a cold snap which is supposed to break by the weekend. PLEASE!

Wardhog - Your Braves KILLED our Mets in the doubleheader yesterday. Two rough losses...oh well!! We are just crazy Mets fans in our household; we actively watch Yankees games just to root against them. It's all my husband's fault; he's brainwashed us. Back in the late 70's I was actually a Yanks fan. How could you not be then?? What with Reggie Jackson, Thurmon Munson (RIP), and the crazy cast of characters they had then...good times, good times!

My inlaws are coming up from Florida tomorrow for a visit. Haven't seen them in a year. So - must whip the house into shape tonight before they arrive.

Ward, I see you're under 140. Great job.

Rennie, I hope your perky comes back!!!

Diane, That's awesome!!!! Not only a win, but he had a great game all his own. I bet all you parents did a collective brow wipe. Getting that first win is always "phew!" Our weather is suppose to be in the upper 60's today. I'm hoping to get in some much needed exercise.

I usually have to work most of Thursday, but so far there are no orders I need to deliver. Life has been so crazy busy lately that my exercise is way down for the month and my weight is up a couple pounds. If I can get clean and active for just a couple days that would go away and all would be good. I have to keep the big picture in mind. Even if I should end May with a tiny gain I'm still much lower than last year at this time. Hoping to get in a walk with M and some tennis with my kids.
Have a great Thursday!
