I tried my Push DVD today and it was 40 minutes... If anyone wants to try Push, I say it is definitely worth trying. I loved it.

Nancy -- Yes, thanks for the clarification! I don't think we've had so many new people all at once!

Nancy is right. Take the existing total, show your minutes, and then give the new total (we show old + new because it helps us catch the occasional adding error!)

I did 58 minutes today: 28 min walking to and from lunch (in the sapping heat!) and lifted at the gym for 30 min.

I'll add Nelie's 40 minutes too!

Group total ~ 560 + 40 (from nelie) + 58 = 658 minutes

Great first day so far!

Okay, I just tallied the July minutes and added to our existing total, and, get this, we are at ....... *drumroll please* 91,536 minutes!!!

Yes, we are almost there! Watch for it, because we only need 8,464 minutes in August to meet our 100K goal!!!!!!!!! Yes, shortly, as a group, we will have done 100,000 minutes of exercise for the year. And there is so much more year left!!!!

Also, I'll be out of town from the 9th to the 15th with limited access and will need you all to whoop and holler if this happens while I'm gone, as I suspect it will!!!

I am so proud of everyone!!! :carrot:

Heather, thanks for the compliments on the haircut. LOL I took the picture myself in the mirror so could have been better! It certainly feels better!!!

Everyone has done such a great job on the exercise. Oh and I wanted to say... to those who didn't make your July goal please don't feel badly... hey you TRIED and you SET the goals and worked at them! Good for you! Keep up the good work! :bike:

yeah misti i saw your pic and almost yelled Shut Up in the nurses station :lol: I saw your pic and wondered who the newbie was and hotdamn it was you. You look good Girl. Geez i got all distracted and forgot to post my exercise goal. My goal is 750 i've never done it before so im guessing. I'm a procrastinater i'll prob have to walk for 10 hours on the 30th. :woops:

ROF Blondie! Thanks for the :rofl: Actually I hardly recognize myself either! :) I got soooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of trying to get all the tangles out of that long stuff after I do my water aerobics and decided enough was enough. :dance:

Actually I don't like the picture very well because I am not smiling... but out of the 10 or so I took in the bathroom mirror, it was about the only usable one. :) And I even washed the mirror first too!

And you'll have to come up with a better excuse than THAT to get out of your exercise... now get going!! :bike: :)

Did my Turbo Jam workout for the first time today and believe me, ladies, if not for having committed myself to this challenge I would NOT have exercised today! So :carrot: :carrot:

I didnt do well yesterday ... wasnt feeling 100%, but its a busy day today ... so will hopefully do better :) (for some reason I feel more energised on a packed day lol).... 8 for yesterday...

My minutes were skipped over in the additon...I added a group total but the next person after me used the person's total that was before me...I will re-add so it's clear:
658 (ending at wyllenn on page 3) + my 26 minutes I posted on this page = 684 + 63 (angiepants78) = 747 + 20 (ladynredd) = 767 + 8 (Nightkatt) = 775 (as oppossed to 749)
Okay, so now that that is resorted I walked 2.5 miles today - got in a 60 minute walk!! :carrot: YAY!
Personal Total: 60 + 71 = 131/310 - 179 to go!!

Group Total: 775 + 60 = 835

Tonight I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes of stomach crunches and deep stretching. That brings my total to 100 minutes.

The group total is now 835 + 40 = 875

Misti, I love the new Avatar pic, I didn't recognize you. I love the haircut, it looks great on you.

I am going to try to get 500 min's on the treadmill this month. I knew food was dangerous. 2 nights ago, I had a huge pack of ribs, fall from the freezer onto my left ankle. I have a huge bruise and am still limping a bit. I will try to start walking tomorrow night if my ankle is better.
I am definitely going to buy a pedometer tomorrow, maybe I'll add some minutes this way. Not sure, it isn't far from my couch to the computer. LOL

Okay, I actually found another error in adding earlier on! Vilandra's post got me checking, and we actually have done 40 minutes LESS. :( I think all those x + y + z + q got confusing!

SO NEW GROUP TOTAL = 1048 minutes!!!!

i finally went to the gym today :cp: and i was walking on the track and i went from 18-20ish mintue miles to 16 in about a month woohoo and my performance on the elliptical was umm short... i havnt been on it in a year or so but i'll build back up to 40 min. cant wait for water aerobics, im taking my mom and sister too.

1048+ 45= 1093

Whoops, 2 people posted at exactly the same time, so one persons minutes aren't being counted...so here:
blondie728 had 1048 + 45 = 1093, so then celery would be 1093 + 45 = 1138 :)

Okay, my turn, lol, I got in another 21 minutes of walking tonight!! :carrot: That's even after my 60 minute walk earlier! YAY!! :carrot:

Personal Total: 131 + 21 = 152/310 - 158 left to go!!
(Me thinks my "sad" goal of 310 minutes might be too low even for me! Yay! :))


Group Total: 1138 + 21 = 1159

It was a busy day today .. so I didnt get on the Flyer as much as I wanted to .. only got on it twice today .. but then I did build up a sweat giving the house a good clean (inc scrubbing the floors - darn dog prints from the dirt!! - really need to find my mop!) .. and then I played with the dogs for another 15 minutes ... who would of thought the little darlings would have so much energy ALL THE TIME!! I almost collapsed by the time I finished chasing after them for the ball lol .. so my total today was a happy (and really tiring) 38 minutes!!! Actually ... Im gonna give the flyer another 2 songs ... so make that 44 minutes!!

Personal Total: 45 + 44 = 99/400 - 301 left to go!!

Well, I did get some walking in while I was Sydney, which was great.

I have 80 mins to add to July if Wyllen is still happy to add them. Sorry they are late.

I also have a 40 min walk to add for Tuesday. Rested yesterday as I was SO tired after the time away and the exciting few days.
Today I did 40 mins on the treadmill, 20 mins of laps with the kids and 10 mins walking home from school.

Personal Goal... 1200 - 110 = 1090 mins left of August's goal of 1200

Group Total... 1203 + 110 = 1313

I am going to have to go back and read about our wonderful new exercisers.

I walked in the heat last night. It is too hot to walk. Today they said it'll be 100 degrees but should feel more like 113.

Anyway my tally so far:

Okay, yesterday I did 75 minutes at the gym (elliptical and weights) and this morning I walked for 92 mins.

Personal total: 75 + 92 = 167 (1,133 left to go)

Well I did so well with my July exercise that I think I will up my goal slightly this month. So my personal goal will be 1000 minutes and that exercise will involve using the Gazelle Rider and walking :D

Personal Total : 60 of 1000

Group Total : 1505 + 60 = 1565

Well I got in a small walk (just to the library), so I got 11 minutes to add to the total. :)

I have a feeling I am going to be mighty sore tomorrow, but right now it feels so good to have really pushed myself with weights. I did 10 minutes on the elliptical, 10 minutes of kickboxing stuff, and at least an hour of weights. I got to the gym at 6:15 didn't leave until about 8, but some of that time was spent socializing. That brings my total to 180 minutes.

The group total is 1,666 + 80 = 1,746

8/2/06: 60 minutes aerobic walking
8/3/06: 35 minutes aerobic walking. I had to rush to the gym and back to get in my workout 'cause hubby had to go to work BUT I wanted to be sure to get SOMETHING in today. :)

Personal total: 60 (8/1) + 95 (8/2 & 8/3) = 155/1000

Group total: 95 + 1934 = 2029

Keep on moving, ladies!!! Feels good!!!
