Just checking in... did another 60 minutes this am at the pool and went and bought a new Richard Simmons dvd. Going to try to do that this afternoon... How fun!

HEY! Remember me? *I* even almost forgot about me! But the Canadian scale finally set me free and I'm back in the States. I haven't done anything for the last few days since we were either running hard or being held prisoner in an exercise hostile environment - down to about 4 or 5 degrees with a wind. I do have 105 minutes to add, and after tonight and tomorrow morning I hope to have more to add.
105 + 6245 = 6350 ... I better get goin' with the struttin' & puffin' or I won't make goal
This cold is really hanging on. I think I'll have to try and go to the doctor tomorrow if I don't feel better when I wake up. I walked for 10 minutes, which makes my total 435.
Ack. Long day and still not done. I haven't been here all day, but DID get some exercise in. I am finally starting to feel like I'm getting in the swing of doing this regularly. I did 32 mins on the treadmill and 15 back exercises and such on my ball (back has been bothering me, so this stuff is really important now)!
So, starting at the nice, round 6400, the new group total is 6447 minutes!!!!
Sorry I've been ill but will try to exercise Tuesday, I'm still too weak to do more than walk slowly around the house!! It seems every tim e I get into exercise something happens.
Keep it up everyone,
xx sharon
ps. lost 4lbs!
I tried a Yoga Dance dvd tonight, which was pretty fun. It was 20 minutes which makes my total 455. I went to the doctor today so soon I should be all better. Yet another reason to be glad I was born when I was - I don't want to imagine living in a world without anitbiotics.
Had a great time down south. Visited a couple of caves - 652 stairs in one yesterday (326 down and back) and 500 in the other today (250 down and back). I think I am just now starting to feel it a little in my calves, but I'm really proud of the fact that I did it quite easily. I won't count the cave walks because I'm not sure of the times and we were walking then stopping continuously.
Yesterday - 40 mins on treadmill before we left and a 40 min power walk along the coast in evening. = 80 mins
Today - 50 min power walk along the coast in morning and 30 mins on the exercise bike in afternoon. = 80 mins
Walks along the coast were lovely. The path ran along the beach, so we got to see some lovely colours at sunrise and sunset. We got to see both quite clearly, one over the Indian Ocean and one coming up over the town.
Zelma - thanks for sharing about your trip. That is what doing all this is for - to get healthy and be able to partake in the wonders of nature and the world we live in. It may take awhile, but that is where I want to be!
Tonight I did 20 minutes of walking, which makes my total 475.
Wow, it's been quieter here lately. I know I can't be around much for the next week. I have a conference to prepare for and then attend! I am so much less worried about how food will work itself out than I have been before. I know that even if I make less than ideal choices away, I can get back on track when I return.
We did some weights at the gym, but didn't do cardio tonight, so 20 min for me.
The new 300+ group total is 6752 + 20 = 6772 minutes!
