Wyellen: I have no problem either way as I said via PM. Personally, I just think it's less confusing if there are less threads for the newbies to get lost in. In our PM conversation even you said that "I was going to make it all just one thread, but then someone complained that once the threads get really long, it's harder for someone with a dialup connection to load." And then further mentioned that "I created an extra thread this month that was confusing to people." As you can see, it doesn't much matter how we do things, someone will complain or be confused.

I do have one suggestion that would perhaps work for everyone. Well, "everyone" doesn't really fit with my 'you can't please everyone' philosophy but..... What if each month you start the exercise thread and I "sticky" it up at the top where everyone can find it? (Or if you want me to copy your intro and start the new thread every month I could do that. ???) I know that won't fix the how many threads and how often to start them question, but at least it would be easy to find and up there at the top along with the Weigh-In thread, which BTW, is only changed every 6 monts, but also is only posted to by everyone once a week.

Again, it's up to you guys what you want. I have no preference, I don't use the thread, I just try and keep the place tidy.

5449 + 30 = 5479

Sharon - so pleased to hear things are better for you today

Hugs,

Ammi

Thinthinker -- I like the idea of a sticky for the thread. We don't seem to be getting a lot of response from the others about number of threads (what do you think everyone?). It doesn't matter to me at all how many there are.

Thanks for all your hard work with this forum. I know that a lot must go on behind the scenes , but it seems seamless from the outside and I really appreciate what you and the oter mods are doing to make things to make this place run so well.

Hi guys. Just wanted to check in and let you all know that I wont be adding any time to the team total this weekend. I was in a car accident today and am now sore all over. I am guessing that the soreness will be worse tomorrow. I am hoping to get back on track at least by Monday. My 2 yr old daughter was in the car with me but we are both find. Keep up the great work everyone. See you in a few days!

P.S. Here is a picture of the van. The window that is knocked out is where my dd's seat is.

Manda -- Goodness!!! I HOPE you are both really okay! You must have been flooded with adrenaline after that. Do take it easy for a couple of days and give your dd extra hugs and kisses!!

Brenda, Sharon, Ammi and Elmay, WAY TO GO!!! My husband asked if this thread was dying this month and I said NO WAY!! We are rocking along!

We got back to the gym and I got to weight machines and treadmill for a total of 54 minutes! I can't believe my husband actually said he wants to INCREASE the time he spends on the treadmill! What a breakthrough!

300+ group total = 5579 + 54 = 5633 minutes!

I just had to go back to find out when I posted last. Oh dear, I haven't been good at all since our visitors arrived. Last one was on the 16th and now it's the 21st. I've done well with the exercise, just not with the posting. Are we allowed to write in the exercise we have done for the last few days? If so, I can add 70 mins for the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th, as I use the treadmill for 40 mins every morning and the exercise bike for 30 mins every afternoon. Also 5 mins of stepping on the 18th and 20th. I'll add today's later after the bike. So that makes 290 mins for the 4 days. I've put the exercise equipment in our bedroom, as I don't think our visitors need to watch me sweating and panting. It makes things a little cramped, but is OK.

We've done LOTS of walking with our visitors over the past few days, but I won't count that as some of it has just been 'strolling'.

Group Total: 5633 + 290 = 5923

(If I can't add past sessions, then I can only add 70 mins for yesterday. Someone else will have to change the total before they add their own.)

Wowsa!

Zelma -- You can absolutely post earlier workouts! Whatever works. I am so impressed you did your workouts even WITH company around. That is the kind of regularity I know I don't have right now.

and
Brenda!!! Not only did you reach your own personal goal OVER A WEEK EARLY (!!!), but we have now done over 100 hours of exercise as a group this month (which someone had suggested as our goal for this month).

I am so impressed with everyone!!!

How far do you think we'll get?? Start thinking about those February goals. It's short month, but maybe we can push even more1

Just a quick drop in before making salads for tomorrow.

Yesterday's total was 80 mins - 42 on treadmill, 32 on exercise bike and 6 on step.

Today's total is 77 mins - 42 on treadmill and 35 on exercise bike.

So two days = 157 mins

Group total - 6013 + 157 = 6170

Off for a couple of days down south to visit a raptor park called Eagles' Heritage and to wander around a couple of caves. Should be different as I haven't been game enough (or fit enough) to go into any caves for a LONG time. I'll let you all know how the exercise went when I get back. Plan on doing a couple of long walks.

Take care,

Zelma

Still struggling with a cold, but I did 15 minutes of walking yesterday. It doesn't seem to have any effect either way so I might as well do it. I missed two days and didn't want it to become three. That makes my personal total 425.

The group total is now 6170 + 15 = 6185
