I would like to take this time out to say sometimes I hate being a girl.

My positive is that I pushed myself to do a 20 minute mile with weights despite my horrible cramps and feeling generally icky. Also, I've been cleaning since I woke up really. Hand washing laundry, giving Lola a bath, etc. Hope you all are having a great day and enjoy your weekend if I don't get back on here.

Oh wait.. best positive ever... they announced tour dates for Motley Crue and Poison this summer and my sister and I are hopefully going to get tickets as soon as they go on sale! WOOOOT! I haven't been to a concert that I actually wanted to go to since 1997 when I had front row tickets to No Doubt. My mom dragged me to see Cher for her birthday once since then but that was so not my thing. We were sitting next to an impersonator who kept flipping her hair in my face. Also, she was wearing enough perfume to choke a horse and she didn't seem to like the idea of personal space since she was all up in mine. If we get tickets then I have to get a new outfit for the occasion too! I'm all sorts of excited.

J,
Now that is what I call determination, pushing thru the pain. And you lieved to boot!!! You buned alot of calories today with all your cleaning, bathing, and laundry. Now I am ready for you at my home. LOL LOL WTG on getting concert tickets!!!

My positive is..........I have had a wonderful day at work and at play. Last night I discovered will power that I did not know I had. Chips Ohoy sat on the table in front of me, gently calling Aggie, Aggggie, Agggggggieeee. Well hot damn, I ignored them and did not eat a single one. Today, well let's see today...........I released another 1.6 pounds!!!!! As for my B - I - L, I kicked his butt again, now let's see, that is two weeks in a row. He stayed exactly the same. Hey, hey, hey, can anyone say Way To Go Ags!!! I can, I can!!!! Waiting to see what joy next week brings. SMILES!!!!

Well, I am off to change my ticker,
hugs love and blessings,
remember to make every moment count,
Ags

Had a good day. No really on plan but I'm not worried... I donated blood today for the first time. That was fun! They said with as good a vein I have that I should do this more often. 4.9 mins it took to fill that bag. Fricken big needle they use. Good thing I'm not nervous about needles. Anyways, that was my positive. Got like super hungry after I donated... Felt like i hadn't eaten anything in a day and a half... mom suggested subway and I caved. At least it wasn't pizza.

I was going to come back and post yesterday, but it was so quiet I figured I'd wait till morning. O.K. let me catch up on personals...

Misty- Cute pics! Aren't groceries getting outrageous? The healthier I eat the more I have to spend. Your right at least it wasn't pizza.

Ags- Oh man I can't wait to get in that pool of mine. Already got my new bathing suit, new float and new (4) noodles. I'm ready, ready, ready!
Now look at you throwing away another 1.6 pounds. My oh my you are kicking BIL butt.
"WAY TO GO AGS!!!"

Shannon- Yes the whole situation with my mom has been a blessing. She settled in without a hitch.
It is fun walking with the iPod, isn't it. It put a little giddy-up in my step. Sounds like you had a tug-o-war walking Simon. Boy dogs, what cha gonna do with em'? Because we live on 5 acres I really couldn't tell you how my Peanut acts on a leash, I never walk her with one. In the future my next dog with be trained to walk properly on a leash because I want to also put her through therapy dog training.

Cake- Awesome job pushing through the horrors of girldom. That's great that your gonna try to see Motley Crew and Poison. You know, Cher ain't my thing either.

I had a great day yesterday. Got some walking in and ate on plan (POP). We even went out to dinner last night to Longhorn Steakhouse. I had a Renegade Steak, green leaf salad w/ oil & vinegar and steamed asparagus. All in my low carb way of eating. My husband was going to get the chopsteak, baked potato (loaded) and salad, but when the waitress took my order he said, "I'll have the same thing she's having." I told him he didn't have to, but he said he didn't want to eat that big baked potato in front of me. When we got home I thanked him for supporting me at dinner. He's diabetic and low carb can only help him.
This morning was my official W.I. since I started low carb eating and in 7 days I dropped 8.3 lbs. This is such a comfortable way of eating for me. Oh I know I won't lose like this every week, but it sure gets my confidence and drive back.
Going on a picnic today with mom at the ALF. They have a beautiful yard area that I never see anyone use with a nice big picnic table just waiting for us. Mom asked for a hamburger, french fries, a descent cup of coffee and ice cream and that is what she'll get. Me, a chicken salad pita sandwich, chunk of cheddar cheese, and a big cup of ice water.

Well I'm done here, I want everyone to have a fabulous friday... that's an order!

Good Morning Ladies...or not such a good morning...

Well, today is my last day at my job which I am not looking forward to having to say goodbye to everyone that I have gotten to know over the last 5 months or so but I only have to work until 2pm because I am skipping my lunch and taking 2 hours unpaid because I have a wedding reception that starts at 6pm so that is why I am leaving early but I need to know what you guys think about something....

I have had a wonderful week of eating I have been POP everyday even though I found out monday that today was gonna be my last day so my eating has been POP and I have exercised everyday this week except for 1 day ( and sometimes I had to push myself to exercise but I did it) Anyway, I decided to weigh myself today thinking that seeing a weight loss might make me feel a little better..well, not so much I cant believe I got on the scale this morning and it still says 278!!!!! WTH!!!!!!

Well, I tried on different dressy clothes last night trying to decide what to wear to the wedding tonight and alot of the dressy tops that I tried on looked alot better on me and I can see a change in my body this week that I really like so I am not going to let this get me down this is just gonna want me to try even harder next week when I will be able to concentrate more on losing weight while I am looking for work BUT...

Why do you ladies think that I may not have lost any weight this week even though I ate good and exercised everyday? My weigh-in days are sundays so I am still going to weigh myself in then and hope that maybe I will drop a pound or two by then.

Well, gotta go for now I will check in with everyone later!

Heather- Our bodies work in mysterious ways and sometimes they just don't release the weight. But you did say your tops looked better on you. You may have gained some muscle since you are exercising 6 days a week. We all know that muscle weighs more then fat, but takes up less space. That's a good thing. This is not happening to discourage you, so keep doing what your doing. It's definitely working. Just not this past week.
Enjoy your final day at work and enjoy the reception.

Mornin' girls!

Learn, your picnic with mamma sounds like a lot of fun! So glad she's going to get a decent cup of coffee! hahaha I'm really glad it has worked out so well for you guys. And LOOK at you taking it to the next level with your weight loss!! Man, you SMOKED those pounds off this week. Congrats on figuring out a way of eating that you are comfortable with and obviously WORKS! And look how you are inspiring your hubs, that is an amazing thing.

Heather, hey girl, I'm sure it'll be hard to say goodbye to your coworkers, I'm so sorry I about that. But at least you have a party to go to afterwards! I hope you have a great time! As for not losing this week, it could be anything. I personally am a whoosher. I stay on plan all the time, and sometimes don't lose anything for a week or 2. Then all of a sudden I'll lose 3-4 lbs all at once. Plus, even if you ate great at Golden Corral the other day, there is bound to be a lot of sodium in that meal. Just keep eating well and exercising, and the weight has no place to go but GONE. I know it's hard not to get that instant gratification of I DID GREAT THIS WEEK = WEIGHT LOSS, but that's just not always the way it works. Nothing we can do except stay on plan and stay persistent.

Misty, thank you for donating blood and giving the gift of life!! That is an awfully nice thing to do!!! And I love your little furry friends. What cuties, I bet they are hilarious! Thanks for the pics!!

Ducky, you are kicking butt and taking names, girl!!!! I love seeing you in such a good place! You are shining confidence right off the screen! Those dang cookies had nothin' on you, woman! I'm so inspired!!

Cake, I know your pain with the TOM thing. What a terrible thing for us to have to endure every month. "The curse" is such a good name for it. But great job exercising anyway. Blah, it stinks but sometimes I feel like exercise actually helps with the cramps. Hope you get to go to your concert this summer, something for sure to look forward to!

I had a very productive day yesterday. I'm re-doing Lily's room and found some amazing black bookshelves at Walmart yesterday for $15 apiece, so I bought 3 of them, and put them all together by myself. By the 3rd one I had it down! Today Lil is out of school for teacher conferences or something, so we are going to the furniture store to buy her a pink chair shaped like a high-heeled shoe. She loves that chair! I told her she had to promise to still love it for at least 3 more years if she was gonna get it. I also went and picked out new carpet for my living room and made an appt for measuring next week -- so that means I have to paint in there by the time they install. Oh, I have my work cut out for me! I hate painting, but I sure love the facelift it gives a room. I am thankful that I have gotten myself barely into enough shape to get the job done, because no way I could have done it 90 lbs ago!! Lots of changes going on around this place, 'bout time!!

Have a great day, everyone!!!

I just got the worse news to wake up to. The landlord said he doesn't like us having ferrets and rats and we have 30 days to get rid of them.

Shannon- Mom totally enjoyed her picnic. We ate in due to it being extremely wind and a bit cool for her to be out, but since she didn't remember our conversation about eating out she didn't care.
Sounds like a lot of redecorating going on at home, sounds exciting. Especially the little divas room. Love those high heels shoe chairs.

Heather- Relax, enjoy your weekend and then polish up that resume. Your last job is going to look good on there.

Misty- Awww, so sorry about your landlords unfair request. If he's O.K. about the dog, why would he object to a few ferrets? That just doesn't seem right.

I had a POP day yesterday. I even tried something new on my Wii Fit Plus and although my arms are sore today I can't wait to play it again. I have found a love for boxing. I may even get me a punching bag in the near future. Maybe deep down I was secretly punching someones lights out. LOL!!!
Gonna try to get outside and due a bit more yard work. The pollen is driving my eyes, ears and throat crazy, but it's so nice out I hate to miss it.

That's it for me.

Ags, Stella, Cake, CJ, Carol (excused), Ona, Susan, Ink, nonabee, Maria...
Missing each and everyone of you

Good Morning Ladies...

Well, yesterday turned out to be an emotional one at work cause they gave me a farewell pizza luncheon and they gave me a goodbye present which was a card and a blanket wrap thing that is kind of like a snuggie and one of the ladies there gave me a personal farewell present of a turtle knicknack that has a planter attached to him that says friends so that was really sweet and of course I went overboard at the lunch with the eating and then I was really upset when I left so when I came home I ate a pint of peppermint bark ice cream ( i know, i know) but believe me I paid for it later at the wedding when I had to keep running to the bathroom so I will never do that again and then the dinner at the wedding was delicious but it was a ton of food ( it was an italian style meal) they had soup, then salad, then a pasta dish, then the main course which was beef stroganoff, lemon chicken, potatoes, and vegetables plus rolls and then dessert was a piece of wedding cake with ice cream so all in all my eating really sucked yesterday but I did do some dancing last night so I burned off some calories.

The positive out of all of this is that I got up this morning and after hubby went to work I did my 55 minute EA Active step aerobic workout and burned 658 calories and now I am gonna go clean up the house a little bit and then take a shower cause after hubby comes home from work we are gonna go grocery shopping so I am back on track today and that is huge for me

Learn...I love boxing they have boxing exercises on the EA Active 2 that I absolutely love doing and that is one of the workout I created too..I created one that is all step aerobics ( that I did today) and then I created another working which is mostly boxing and step aerobics.

Well, gotta go for now ladies and get some stuff done
talk to you ladies soon
Heather

Well I found this thread and see that you are focused on the positive things in our lives.

My positive thought or action for today is I have started to incorporate fruits into my diet. I actually enjoyed the very cold fruit cup.

Is this what I am supposed to do here. Wanna make sure I am doing it right.

Hi, everyone! You're all so great and inspirational. I should come by here more often. I love reading this thread!

My positive is that I lost 2 lbs this week, which has brought me to a total of 25 lbs lost! I still have a long way to go, but it's a start.

I also have a question. What does POP mean? I've seen it in the thread a few times and I'm not sure what it stands for.
