Val -- Chocolate virgin! Nice! Keep it up!
And we still call our 3 year old dog "the puppy" too... compared to the 8 year old he is!

Debi, o my gosh! I can't even imagine doing all that standing an cutting in one day. I could see why your dead tired!! Now for all the sewing.....WOW!! Wish I was there to help you in some way. Good luck and I hope you don't hurt as much today as you did yesterday.
YAY on the 5 lbs gone!!

Val, you're so right. I would rather be addicted to cigs any day instead of food.
Congrats on getting past all the Ms and another for going down the stairs without grabbing for the rail!!

Sandy, sorry to hear your in somewhat of a similar situation in your marriage. I can't express how hard it was but I'm so thankful I did it. I've got a lot better life now with a wonderful man who would give me the world if he could.
I checked my sugar and it dropped alot just by me cutting out breads, flour and all that kind of stuff. It's meat, veggies and fruit for this girl!! We can do this, getting our sugar under control. It's my main reason why I started this journey. I see what my Dad has to go thru with the insulin and I just don't want to do it. When I was heavier, I was on the Metformin, but since losing weight I don't have to take the meds anymore. I'm sure you'll get there to really soon!
I'm really proud of you for putting the Reese's cups back too!!

Carol, that's fantastic that you're joining a 5K!! Wow, who would of thought you would do that a year ago? I must say I'm so proud of you!!! GIANT
I love my Wii Fit. I gotta tell ya, doing the hula hoopin' is killing my outter part of my leg and my hips!! WOOO!! I actually hurt! I'm doing much better on balance too since I started it. Have fun, I think you're gonna like it.
O, and I'm on 3 days of being OP!!!!
Good for hubby kicking the habit! I hope he can stick with it for both your sakes.

Toni, I hope you can get back to your TOPS meetings. Whatever helps us to be true to ourselves, I'm all for. Just be careful out there if the roads are still bad by then.

Ally, that's wonderful news about the lbs coming off!!

Americaninuk, Hopefully it will be lots of water weight and once you get yourself OP and downing the water, it will come down quickly.

Luan, I'm glad you're seeing that you're way worth it! He's just not worth it if he can't see how bright you shine.

Mimi, I can just picture you standing in front of the mirror and posing!! Good for you, you deserve it after all the hard work you've done. I can't even imagine riding for 90 minutes, you go girl!

Purple, sounds like the meal at your friend's house was really yummy and wholesome. Don't you wish someone would cook for us all the time like that? Glad to hear that you're feeling better too.
I never heard of one of those machines to test the nicotine levels in our systems. That sure would you not want to smoke. It's great that you gave it up and it also tells me that you can kick the food addiction too, although it will probably be a little tougher since we HAVE to have food. But we can do it!!

Jacquie, hope you feel better soon.

Hi Beth! Glad to see you back. I think once you get past a few days without sugar, the headaches will go away. It's your system craving the sugar. Be strong!!

Annie, you're very welcome! I think it's going to be fun! I'm glad you found a church you feel more comfortable in. It sure makes a difference when people notice someone new and invite you in and make you feel at home. It's so hard with the larger churches. We were going to one in California and it just seemed they wanted money and really didn't get the word out there and then the pastor would come in and tell us how his golf vacation went.

Val and Heather, we have Sadie who is 8 also and she'll always be my puppy. I have a habit of calling her "my little pumpkin seed" too. I know, weird. LOL

Well ladies, we are having rain now and it's suppose to get into the 40's and 50's this coming week so now we have to look out for flooding. Sheesh! Will it ever end? I do enjoy the snow though so I'll miss it.
I've been OP for 3 days now and can't believe the difference in how I feel. I'm getting out of bed earlier and feeling like exercising. I sure hope it lasts!! Jim and I have been doing exercises on the Wii Fit and I can't believe it says I'm in better shape than him!! It also has my age at 44 when I'm actually 54~! I know it's probably not THAT accurate, but it sure does pump ya up to keep going.
have a great night and don't forget to weigh in for the BLC if you joined!!

Brandnew-In baseball there are days that a pitcher just doesn’t have it. It’s easy to pitch when you feel good, and your curveball is really breaking nicely. Sometimes though, there are days when everything you throw is slow and straight, and hit right back at you. Those are the times that show a real pitcher, and not just someone who can throw the ball hard. If you were paying a guy millions of dollars a year to play a kid’s game, and he said, “I don’t feel it today, you guys play without me,” you might be tempted to deck him in front of everyone. The days where everything is working right and feeling good, are few and far between for me. Most days, I battle like an old wily pitcher. I keep trying different pitches, angles, and learn to duck when the ball is coming at my head. Everyday where you try is one day that you didn’t give up on yourself. I’m certainly not going to give up on you, and none of us is going to let you give up on yourself.

Annie-If you are looking for quiet, 3am should do it. I think only Zombies are up that time of night around here. Maybe vampires, but they live on the better side of town.

Luan-My tail pretty much stays between my legs. I don’t think I have to tell you that you are worth being treasured. If he doesn’t, he’s not the person to be with.

Debi-If it is warm where you are, I’ll show up with my sewing machine. How many tables to you have?

Purple-my husband’s friends are of the nerdy, middle-aged still living at home type (think comic book guy from the Simpsons), and I often say I feel like a fraternity house mom cooking for them. The next one that calls me “ma’am” is going to get a bop up side the head.

Cyn-If you want some more snow, I’d be happy to send you a few feet from my patio.

Debbie-I’ve been bad lately in checking my BP. When I got a cut on my arm that didn’t want to stop bleeding, I dug the BP cup out. We both need to make sure we keep up with important stuff. We won’t be able to enjoy being skinny if we’re dead.

Carol-If I drink anymore water, I’m going to pop like a water balloon.

Sharon-Feel free to pop over to do my housework when you are finished with yours. I’d rather be sewing, but there are shirts here screaming for an ironing.

I spent the afternoon cleaning up a friend’s computer. I never thought I was going to get her screen clean. I posted a picture on the picture thread. I figured I hadn’t done that in a while.

Debbie + Annie
Thanks for your support I hope Debbie is right about my body craving for sugar for a few days. Once I get used to drinking just water and eat plenty of fresh and healthy food, I should be fine. If I get headaches this week then it shouldn't matter because the first week of school after Christmas is always quiet so I won't have too much work on.

I'm so nervous about my first weigh-in tomorrow. It's been a LONG time since I put myself on the scales! I know that NSVs are much better than SVs but I need to know my starting weight.

I got myself prepared for the diet. I bought an exercise DVD and got some tuna, bread roll, light mayo, fruit bar and baked crisps for school - all low fat compared to what I usually have... jumbo battered sausage and chips from the chip shop by the school! I hope to use the Wii Fit - that is, if my mam decides to get off Animal Crossing!

today was so awesome. i got up early, ran some errands, and drove to Oceanside which is about an hour south of me to go see my sister and brother in law and their kids. it was my neices birthday and my BIL is being deployed on thursday. it was sorta bittersweet, but the drive was gorgeous. it was fun to see the kids and hang out with the family.

mostly off point day (mcdonalds for breakfast and dinner) but at least i got out of the house and got some things done i had been putting off.

Hi everyone - I've been in and out of the group... going to try and check in more often. I'm not sure anyone remembers me.

Now that the holidays are over I'm back to exercising and back in gear for training more Triathlons. (I did 2 last summer) I'm not sure which one I'm doing yet depends how fast I can catch back up and regain the progress I had made.

Heather - I gained back some too last year... although a wee bit more and a wee bit more quickly. I was down to 186 in July and look where I am now. Eeek.
