Before I forget:
Debbie - yay on the jam making! No matter how much I do there's always that little (did it thicken enough or too much) feeling I get. Like you, I never trust it until I open one the next day.
Debi - thanks for the kind thoughts. You mentioned about my continued weight loss earlier in the week (or who knows maybe last week). I don't know what the difference is, but I just seem to be in a good space with the program. I like what I'm eating, getting plenty of stuff, and I think finding that I love lifting weights has helped. I suspect I couldn't do 5 days a week of cardio. However, I can easily do 2 days of cardio and 3 days of weights.
Bernice - with the previous MRSA infection I would be afraid of doing an optional surgery. Heck, I'd be concerned about even necessary surgery. I haven't been around enough recently to know specifically what your struggle is lately but you seem to have identified a few issues (breakfast and snacking) so it sounds like you've got a few things to tackle. How is hubby doing with his loss (ie. have you started to enable old habits)? Good luck with getting back on track.
Annie - good luck with school tomorrow. I've found it a combination of fun, boredom, and more work than I remembered. Of course it could be that 20 years ago I did the least amount of work that I could get away with.
So, my one negative about starting school is that I'm sick. A couple of guys in the class weren't well last week, and I did my best to stay away from them. However, I've either got a sinus infection or the start of a chest cold. It can't make up its mind where it's going to settle. I've had symptoms of it since Thursday but it was Saturday when it affected my sleep and it was worse this morning. I had a rest/maintenance week planned for early October, so I've decided to pull it forward. So no working out for a week, and more food. It was harder than I thought to eat more today, and to plan more for tomorrow. Because of my (likely always present) issues with food I try to simply eat more of the good choices I make daily. I don't simply want to buy junk food, although likely during the week I'll buy a single bag of some kind of fruit gums. I'm thinking that mac and cheese sounds like a good meal for Wednesday. I was working on a lower cal version in Fitday but honestly didn't have a clue if the proportions would be right. So it sounds like a good comfort food for sometime during the week.
I think that's it for me tonight. Hope everyone is doing well!
