Carol: Glad that you are busy walking and not flying away with the storm! I know that you can do it Carol. I have NO Doubts about you being able to walk that 40 miles you are challenging yourself to. Hugs and good luck. Oh, school starts for me on the 22nd of this month. It ends on 10-29 then I go for the aquafitness instructor on 11-14-16 then hopefully lifeguard training on the 17th of November. 1st aid and CPR classes with heart saver are two nights on the 23 and 25th of this month. So, next week!

Debbie: I kind of had my doubts about me and a place where there are adoptable doggies needing a home. lol. I have a bleeding heart for animals truly I do. I'm not cranky now. lol. I took a lovely nice long bath and am ready for bed. Way to go with the exercise you!

Vida: Hugs to you hun. I hope you are not in pain anymore. Congrats on doing the bike though. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Angie: Hugs to you too. Please don't feel like a quitter. You didn't know what the thread would be like and if you are overwhelmed then no worries. Don't do it if it will add more stress to you. It is hard to think that we are going up against people that are weighing what our goal weights are right now. I agree but, If you feel like it won't be too much of a stress for you then jump in. If it will cause stress then by all means, back out. You are not a quitter in my book. You are being sensible to take care of you. I don't want you to be too overwhelmed where you don't have time to come here anymore either and you just stay away. I'd rather see you here than not at all. Hugs.

Well, It is bedtime, well past my bedtime actually. I need to be at work tomorrow at 4:45 so time to hit the hay.

Blessings all,
Annie

Hi everyone

Well, I knew it was coming. Felt like a lump on a log all day yesterday and didnt feel great on Sunday either. During the night I woke up with a doozy of a ear, nose and throat infection. I was awake half the night. I am just sitting here waiting for the grocery store to open then I am going to go out and get some drugs and good wholesome comfort food and come back home for the rest of the day. I am supposed to be in jewellry mode today. We will see. It hurts to lay my head down right now so I may be forced to do something other than veg on the couch

Carol: Sometimes it backfires on me as well. I really enjoy going out to eat and that is the one night that I do not feel like I have to always watch what I am doing. I think it depends on the TOM situation and whether or not I make sure I am in the right mindset that this is a once a week thing and not a 2 or 3 day binge.

Well, I've been half heartedly trying this week......and again the scales didn't budge much.....so is the 270's a catch on the scale? I wonder........I know I'm not putting forth the effort I had when I first started this plan and that is the biggest issue. Where do I go from here is my question? I need one good weigh in week to get me closer to 260's and I will feel much better I know........but without the motivation to do more than I am doing at the present moment......how do I get there?

I will concentrate today on the things I put to my mouth and decide PRIOR to putting them in if it is worth the calories or not! I will drink more water today in hopes that will help sustain my appetite and keep me from over endulging! Yesterday there were a couple of things I shouldn't of eaten....I read the calories & the fat grams and decided they weren't too bad so in they went! 1 mini bag of cheetos & a Hershey bar! If I keep adding that many calories/fat grams once a week I will eventually be back in the 300+ range! I am giving my 24-26's away today to motivate myself to get even further away from that size as well as keep me from having that cushion "if the 22's get too small I can always slip into my big pants" THERE IS NO turning back!

I am not weighing in this week in hopes I wont be discouraged I am going to wait till next monday to weigh in so I wont be tempted to jump on the scale daily!!

keep me in your thoughts as I will you all!

brenda_ hi..for me a cheat meal turns into a cheat day and its not worth the struggle to get it back off..when most of the time what you cheat with isnt really worth it. Hope you get feeling better fast!!

dmpls- try writing down your food again and posting it in fitday. Sometimes just seeing what goes in really helps you get focused. Are you drinking your water??? Hope today goes good for you!! I miss our daily chats!

angie_ i just post once a week on TBL thread..its to much for me to try and keep up with daily..and it can be depressing seeing someone who is 130 with a goal of 120 talk about how fat they are.LOL Hugs!!

annie_ you have such a big heart.. hope you have a great week at work!!

vida_hope the soreness i better today..being sore is suppost to feel good..but i still hate sore muscles!!

julia_ hope yesterday turned into a good op day.

cyn- How did you make it yesterday without softdrinks?? That was so hard for me to give them up. I lived on them..until my kidneys started protesting and i had to give them up..now if i drink even one my kidneys hurt.

Debbie_ Im glad you started back with exercise...I had to start back slow on the minitramp and now have doubled my time in just one week. Im hoping to get back up to an hour...but it will have to be during a good tv show.

carol_ hugs and have a great workout tonight!

I dont watch alot of tv but tonight is the starts a new season of HOUSE my favorite show..I plan to jump during it and see just how long i can last.
I also plan on taking the kids to the playground today and walking around the edges of the fence instead of just sitting while they play..its not a very big playground but exercise is exercise.LOL
hugs to all and hope everyone has a GREAT OP day!!!

Brenda – Those 100 cal packs are pure evil LOL. I tend to use them for trips to the movie theatre since they are compact enough to fit in my purse with a bottle of h2o. I really like frozen fruit with cottage cheese. It usually kills any salt or sugar craving. Hope your E, N & T infection heals up quickly! They absolutely suck! I honestly feel any pain in the head area is worse than the rest of the body!

Debi – Hi ya...how are the kids in care? I have none right now as subsidy discovered a few service abusers so I am waiting for some new families. I am planning on watching House too! Cant wait!

Cyn – Good job on the gym! I would use the doc scale as a good base then not worry about the 350 lb scale for a few weeks when you know that you will get an accurate reading. Thanks for the idea of having daily goals. It is sort of assumed when you have a big goal. But I forget to break it down to manageable peices. Did you complete you goal?

Bernice - Yes get rid of the clothes. Getting the motivation back is hard. Just learning that in the last few weeks. I had to review my goals and make them fresh again. They had not be revived in a while and did not have enough incentive for me. So hoping that goals appearing new will work!

Catherine – I am not sure what is worse the dry cold – 40 that the west gets or the mild cold damp that southern Ontario gets...any way you look at it cold is yuck unless youre doing something fun. Hope the doc appt went well. How much longer are you until youre done?

Annie - Thanks for the encouragement. Sorry that the trip to the Humane Society was hard. I could not work there it would break my heart that I could not bring everything home. Great news on your books arriving and classes scheduled out! I am thrilled I think you will be an awesome trainer!

Debbie – Thanks for the will power dust. Good idea about making bracelets. I will look at making one. It defiantly seems like we are stuck in the same rut. Good job on getting on the treadmill. WE can do it! We don’t need to be victim of our mental blocks!

Carol - Good job on the walking. Thanks for the support. I did a posting for the 300+ challenge. I will WI on Friday after being back on plan for the week. It will give me a better idea where I am after I flush with water. Thanks!

Hi ya NuevaVida – Glad your here! I love to get to know new people!

Angie – Lotsa hugs for you today! Last round on the black team we had several around the same weight as me so it was ok. But ya I totally get having to try relate to people who have never been larger than 200lbs. I agree with Annie. Finding out your boundaries is healthy and does not make you a quitter.

Got my hair cut yesterday. I finally have it grown out enough. I am glad the hairband thing was starting to get on my nerves. Also decided that for bff wedding that I will wear my hair down. The dresses are fairly open in the chest back area. It will be way to much to have the hair pulled back too. My mom made pashminas to go with the bride and our bridesmaid dresses. They are great.
Again all - Thanks for the support. You all are awesome! And yesterday was an op day even down to the little bit of cheesecake that I saved calories for! And today is headed into the right direction too!

Good Morning!

Cyn-hope you are feeling better today!

dgramie-House-new season-pretty exciting. I have to make sure the recorder works for hubby to see it!

DMPLS-good thinking get rid of the large sizes, you are doing so well. Hang on girl, you will have a great day!

Going to lose-hows the head today? stuffiness?

Annie-how is work going?

Angie-YOU are not a quitter, don't feel overwhelmed you are doing great keep it up! I don't like comparing weights either. Try and look at it as a healthier lifestyle, that's how I get through it. YOU do what is right for YOU.

NuevaVida-how did the stretching go yesterday?

Debbie54- Treadmill? I am so proud of you girl!! What a great start! YEAH! I knew you would not let that treadmill think he could talk you out of climbing on! Way to go!!!!!!

Carol-Yes, I was happy with the WI sunday! Now if it keeps up that will be more wonderful! The basement. . . . . Well water is all pumped out of it. . about a foot. But yesterday problems with the water heater. So hopefully the repair man will come today as it is way too cold to take cold showers. The summertime was good for that. It got cold last night. Now about drinking water. . . . . . . I have to admit to you that the past week I have been really bad about it. I am going to try hard today to get it in. How was WI today?

Well, I better get moving and drink water or Carol will kick my butt!(which she should) Penny

You know I just added pic. If you click on my avatar it goes to profile pic. I added my ARMY son and me pic. I "think" I can see a difference in my face! what do ya think?

Penny: The head isnt as stuffy as the throat is sore. I have had about 5-6 nubbing lozenges today. I just thought of something. I should go and see how many calories are in those things!! On the bright side, I can't stand the taste of the "stuff" draining so I have been drinking lots of water *L* I think I will go make a nice cup of tea now. I really am trying to get used to drinking it in the afternoons cause I like to snack while watching the talk shows I really dont much like tea

Brenda-If you are just wanting something warm on the throat, try some warm sugarfree jello mix up as would put in fridge, but warm up after adding cool water and drink. Sometimes my kids enjoy that for a change. They are not big tea lovers as I am. They also make a sugarfree apple cider packet that they like. Just take care of yourself!! Talk Shows? KEEP DRINKING THE WATER!! Penny

Hello Everyone,

Well, I'm happy to report a bit of progress today. Woke up feeling better than I have in a while. I think the depression lifted a little bit overnight. :-) Not sure if it's the vitamins and herbs - those are supposed to kick in quite so quickly - or just a shifting of hormones or the planets. But hey, I'll take a less cloudy day anytime!

I did laundry last night and stretched in between trips. Thanks worthapenny for asking! Stretching sure helped me feel less sore. I have to remember to stretch again tonite! I also unpacked some boxes that have been sitting in my living for I don't know how long since I moved. It felt nice to have things look nicer in my place.

Doing laundry was hard - it always is. I've gotten so out of shape that carrying a laundry basket full of clothes for any length of time is super hard. I am lucky my apt is only on the second floor and that the laundry room at our community isn't too far away (about 8 parking spaces or so from my front door). Still, the past two days have been hard emotionally.

How did I get here? It bugs me to know that these things - doing laundry and standing for a few hours at a party - are only hard because of my size/weight. I have a friend who is so large she needs other people to do simple things for her like bring in her groceries! I don't want to get that incapacitated by my weight. That's not the kind of life I want.

I did my usual 20 minutes on the bike this morning, followed by stretching. It was not too easy and not too hard. So, I'm sticking with that for a while. :-)

Dogpal, dgramie and julia, thanks for the sweet personals. :-)

Back to work I go.

Hi everyone,

Brenda: Hugs. I hope you feel better soon.

Bernice: Sorry you are struggling right now. Please don't give up. If possible make yourself do some sort of exercise for only 5 minutes and then tomorrow make it 6 etc. Any movement is better than none. Hugs to you. Hang in there.

Debi: I have never seen "House" but I have to tell you it is a VERY popular rental with Netflix. lol. Good luck jumping tonight.

Cyn: I hope your allergies clear up soon.

Julia: Thanks. Great job being op!

Penny: The job is going fine. I seem to be doing well there at least that is what my boss tells me. lol.

Well, I am so tired that I can't seem to relax enough to have a nap before group tonight. I don't know why. lol. I guess when I get home from group I will sleep like a log.

Blessings all,
Annie

Brenda, hope you feel better soon. Nothing worse than those summer colds.

Bernice, I wish there was a magic pill to take to get our determination back. But there isn't so all we can do is figure out how to keep going on this journey. :hugs:

Debi, have fun with the kids at the park. I plan on walking on the treadmill while The Biggest Loser is on. What better motivation could there be?

Julia, YAy on getting back to counting your calories. We can all do this!! We've all come so far. It just takes a little urging from each other to get us back on track. The pashminas will be really cute with the dresses.

Penny, Yep, I see a BIG difference in your face from one pic to the next. Keep it up!!! Nice pic of you and your son too!

NeuvaVida, I remember how hard it was to move around when I was at my top weight. I feel for ya. But soon you'll be moving so much better. Just losing a few pounds can really make the difference and then add in the exercise you're doing, you'll be jogging pretty soon!! Don't get to down in the dumps about things. Just take it one day at a time. You can do it!!

So far doing good on food and water. Tonight when TBL is on, I'll be on the treadmill. Can't wait for that show to begin. It's such a great motivator. I wish it was on 24/7 like Big Brother is.
toodles
Debbie

Back from the pool. I was a little worried that my class was going to be canceled. There were guys in hazmat suits running around. Never a good sign. They were just chlorinating the pool. The gas thing broke, and they are waiting on a part, in the meantime, they are doing it the old fashioned way with powder. Union rules made them wear the suits. When I saw the lifeguards flirting with them while they were working, I figured it was safe.
