This weekend was great! Friday DD, DS & his fiance drove down for dinner........DD stayed over for the weekend and DS & fiance went back for work on Sat. Dh & I went to Foster/Adoption class Sat morning.....Interesting to say the least! Sat afternoon Army son flew in to nashville.....got to the house around 8pm with his gf. had a nice dinner and evening together.....went to church together in the morning then his gf left for work and we had him all to ourselves for the afternoon! It was so NICE!!! He took me and his sisters shopping and spoiled us all! LOL We all drove down to oldest son's apartment for the evening and Labor Day. Dh, youngest DD & I slept over at son's apartment.....the other two went back to the dorms.........then Labor day we spent it shopping at the mall. DH bought me a new ring 80% off really helped! LOL after the mall we all went back to son's apt and Dh cooked Baked Ziti for dinner with a salad........we stayed till around 11:30central/12:30eastern time(the reason I say this is because on our drive to and from the time zone changes LOL) we got home around 1:30 our time LOL
work went ok today.........I'm just so sick of the drama! I wish everyone I worked with were like the teacher I work with! LOL but oh well other than that it was a great day!
DS flew back to AZ this morning I was sad saying goodbye but I feel so great about our visit it doesn't matter! LOL
WELCOME to the two new girls!!! I am wore out today and since DH has class tonight & DD is working I am going to go lay down on the couch and watch tv for a bit to relax!
Hiya Peeps - yes it is the day after Labor Day - time to get moving - and move I did - back to formal exercise and I surprised myself and did 2 miles as well as 2 circuits of weight training - I'm excited to start posting on the exercise thread again. It was AWESOME - back to the water too on Saturday. One little rant - my sister decided to join me - we had a little "chat" on the way in that this is not a competition - I am there for me. If I have to have that talk with her every time I will.
I think I will go back to hand tracking of my intake - I seem to get too consumed doing the online sites - for right now at least. Also an awesome OP day. I travel tomorrow but not worried about it other than the rain I'm to run into.
Annie-happy anniversary. I have a neti pot, and I don't use it as much as I should. At times, I'd even try a rotor router.
First day of classes done. I'm all done in but my socks. Most days won't be this long. This was orientation. I'm going from online classes of mostly tired Catholic school teachers working on their masters, to day classes with 90% seminarians. I swear some of them don't look old enough to shave. The older I get the younger everyone else looks. I'm pretty sure my pastoral theology professor is 12 years old. I was certainly the only person in the class sitting on a orthopedic cushion. I guess I'll have to watch my language, dang it.
Yeah to those on track, I am not one of them today. I did not get my water in and don't see it tonight. I had to work today and it was very slow. I think I am going to go to bed soon as it is starting to lightning out and maybe I can get some sleep in before (I am hoping not) I have to get up and check on the basement. I told daughter that I was going to plug the pump in before I went to bed. I talked to hubby on the phone a little while ago and he was kinda quiet, so I am sure he was tired too. He said something about going to bed early. That is NOT like him. Oh well, I am not reading into it. It has been a long day! The girls said the school was very hot inside today. No air cond. in the high school. Ugh. It is supposed to cool off the rest of the week so that will be good. Tomorrow I am going to check out a workout program and possibly see about a trainer!
Bernice-sounds like a wonderful visit with family! I talked to Army son this weekend and he has had a cold and now on antibiotics. So at least he is on the mend.
Carol-way to go on exercise!!
Annie- Make sure when you send my Netflix that you say hello! Sticky notes are good! lol I hope the VocRehab can help with schooling, I'll be praying.
Debbie54-Did you get on that treadmill? It was watching you? Water today?
Ratkitten-sounds like you had a great trip!
dgramie-did the willpower dust help you today? I hope so! I am thinking I need a whole truck load!
Well, it is starting to thunder so I better get the dog out quick. Penny
Toni: I will have to go and take a peek of your pics. Hugs.
Bernice: Sounds like your weekend was wonderful.
Carol: Glad that you are back on your program. Way to go. I too am exercising way more starting this month. I missed my exercise goal last month by 45 minutes!! So, this month I am determined to make it.
Catherine: You should break out your Neti pot. Glad that your first day of school was good. Get some rest. hugs.
Penny: Hope it doesn't thunder too much. I also appreciat the prayers. If I see your name I will send a note. lol.
Group meeting tonight was great as always. Next week we are doing the weight loss coats again. That is putting on a coat then adding weight in 5 pound increments until we can't stand anymore to see how we used to get around. I missed it last time so I am hoping nothing gets in the way this time. I'll let you guys know how it goes next week.
Well, I'm getting sleepy so I need to head off to bed now. Hugs to you all.
Blessings,
Annie
Yesterday was great!! Calories were right on..but a little heavy dinner meal( white beans). I will make sure i dont plan a meal like that for awhile again. I still came in within my calorie range. I got my full gallon of water in. I walked for 30 min outside yesterday. I did notice that i got winded a bit faster than i was in the early summer. I will add in a few more blocks today..guess i have to build back up.
So glad to hear almost everyone is pumped about exercise again.
carol_ so glad the day went great for you! Be careful on your trip!!
annie_ hugs and i cant wait to hear about that suit. I know for me it would be like walking around carrying 2 of my kids( they both weight around 30lbs) I dont think i would make it far carrying them both.LOL
catherine_ glad you have day one of school behind you. Hey i agree with the cushion thing..i think i need one for my computer chair and its even padded.LOL I know i have lost some of my padding in the bottom area and i can really tell at times like sitting on bleachers at a ball game. LOL
penny_ YES the willpower dust helped!! I think i will give us all some more today and for a few more days. Hugs and i hope you slept good and wake up to a dry basement!!
dmpls_ how did your day go yesterday?? did you get in your water and exercise?? You know you have to look sexy for that cruise. It maybe hard work now but think of the reward..a sexy little black dress!!
toni- hi and hugs
irishcoda_ i love the picture of your grandson he is precious!!
rat_ how are you?? going biking anytime soon??
debbie_ how are you?? did you get on that treadmill?? I hope you did!!!
Good Morning all!
YEAH, NO WATER IN THE BASEMENT!!! It sounds like rain most of the next few days. As long as it comes down slow I am alright, it is when it is hard and fast coming down that is just rolls in there.
Well, today or Friday I have to go and get my drivers license. Dang birthdays make them expire. I guess if I am getting a newer car it would be good that I have one, and the girls think they need mom to take them places! I never liked the old picture anyway. Not that the new one will be better, but we will see. The weather will be much cooler today so the girls should get along well in school today. It was so hot in there yesterday that the older daughter said she felt really sick. Well, I better get moving for now. Penny
had a pretty bad eating day yesterday. The morning went well but by the time I got back from my walk, the good part of my day was over. I got into an arguement with the jar of peanut butter. The peanut butter won. By the time I realized what was happening I had numerous spoonfuls. I'm sure about 700-800 calories worth. Then a salty supper and some crackers in the evening. Today I am going to have to drink enough water to make Penny's basement wet I gained 8lbs of fluid overnight!
Penny: I just had to renew my licence last month as well. I dont like this new pic any better than the last one
Annie: Weight loss coats would be AWESOME to try! A few nights ago I was walking back from the mall carrying some bags and wondering why I had bought so much that I had to carry home. Each bag was about 10lbs. so 20lbs all together. I would have had to carry 8 of them to equal what I used to carry all the time. Amazing because I know there was no way that I could have walked home carrying all those bags. I was huffing and puffing with 2!
Catherine: Glad to hear you had a good day at class. Hope you had a good nights sleep last night!
Carol: After your last post I feel better than I did this morning when I got here. Thanks for helping to motivate me
DMPLS: Happy for you and on having a great weekend with your family What kind of ring did you get ??
Hi to Rat, Ann, Julee, Luann, brandnewme, Toni, Bernice, Julia, Debbie, Debi, Irish, Texi, Heather and any one else out there lurking
ok, sorry no more personals cause I have to get off my butt and go for a walk before it starts to rain. I have to go and grab a few supplies at Walmart for the market this weekend and make some jewellry this afternoon/evening. Will feel much better if I walk there and not take the car since I will be sitting for the rest of the day. TTYL
Bernice: Where in Az is your DS? Is that the one in the Army? I am in Arizona..just being curious.
As for me..this was my week to start back at the gym...and it is closed til saturday for Annual Maintenance...just my luck..lol
It is still to HOT for ME to walk outside..its been in the steady 108's here. I sure hope mother nature gives us a break soon.
I am going through my I can't breathe..I am fat mode. I have noticed things are really getting harder for me..so gotta loose. I am also EXHAUSTED all the time now. I mena even taking a shower is a big deal....so I am starting my food journal today. I have to keep better track instead of shoveling food in all the time.. mindless eating is not good.
More water...goodness I gotta get back into that as well!!
Good morning everyone! Yesterday I found out I gained back 1.2 but today I'm ready to get back with the program. I made sure to count all my breakfast points and am now in the process of convincing myself to get on the treadmill so I'll be back later on the exercise thread with my minutes!
Hope everyone else is having a nice day so far!
Cassie
P.S. Thanks to everyone who remarked on my sweet little grandson. He is a cutie all right, am I prejudiced?
I am reading about all the exercise and remembered I was able to take a walk yesterday for one of the first times in a very long time. My stride is faster too! I went up the dead end road across the street (one block or so) and then around my own block. I know it's not much but I was unable to even do the dead end this time last year. I took my dog and he didn't yank me much since I had his prong collar on.
I also had to get my license renewed as my birthday was on the 30th of August. I lied again on the weight portion but at least I am closer to that weight than every other time I have done it. I told myself I will lose my license when I get down to my goal so I can have a picture and weight that is accurate when the time comes.
We are getting peaches from some people up the road soon, they called and have ripe ones ready! I love fresh peaches and they are so good in my morning yogurt.
Have a great day everyone, I so enjoy reading your posts and learning a bit about everyone.
Toni: I am so happy that here in Canada they dont ask weights for the license. At least in our province they dont. Its at least one place that I dont have to lie about my weight
Annie, how did it go for the schooling? I'm so glad that Joel is getting out there with you and you two are enjoying your time together. Sure makes things special, doesn't it?
Toni, thanks for the info. You're doing really good. The pictures are great!
Carol, how ya feelin' after your first exercise class?
Catherine, I'm sure anything that you said in class (language) they've already heard and twice as bad. LOL. Hope you enjoy your classes. What a difference from last year huh?
Debi, Penny, nope didn't get on the treadmill. It has to ply me with demure looks and winks, and it was just staring down at me with the silent treatment cuz I haven't been on it in so long. Today, TOM is wrecking havoc so I doubt there will be any exercise today either. When will this ever end??? I want menopause!!!
Glad to hear you had a good day calorie wise. Soon the pounds will be dropping off again!
Brenda, sure would love to see your jewelry! Have a great day and try to stay OP.
HI to the rest of you gals! Hope your day is going well.
I have to go get my license too sometime this week. For once, I can actually change my weight on mine because I'm finally less than what it says. WOOHOO!
Gotta go post some more beads so I'll catch y'all later.
Debbie
Toni: I went and looked at your pictures. WOW! You can really notice a difference. Way to go hun. I have always lied on my license and this time I got it renewed recently and It said 290 on it and I was too chicken for the man to say my weight out loud so I just left it at that weight and I was actually at 270. lol. It still says 290 and I weigh 240 today. lol. WE all do it hugs. Once I reach my goal I will get another picture and license and tell the truth for the first time since I got it at age 16. lol. Good for you doing the walking. I am so proud of you. When I first started I walked around our block too and it took a lot out of me but I kept it up. Now I walk and walk. It will happen for you too. Just hang in there and keep moving!
Debi: I can't wait to try the suit on too. Maybe I will bring my camera and ask someone to take my picture.
Penny: Woo hoo for no water in your basement!
Brenda: It is amazing how things as small as 10 pounds tax us when we carry them yet our previous weights are much more than that and somehow we survived it. The leader last night said that no body can ever do more than 40-50 pounds in the weight coat and their knees buckle. She has them try to walk around and sit down and get up etc. We are also bringing some of our old clothes that we used to wear and she will fill them up with bubble wrap. I am very looking forward to this day.
Cyn: We were talking about food journals last night in group. I haven't kept one but I am planning on doing it today. Good luck to both of us. I hear they are a wonderful tool to see where and when we go off track.
Irish: Your little grandson is darling!
Debbie: The schooling thing is today at 2:30 so I will be back this evening and let you know how it goes. It is awesome for Joel to be with me when I ride my bike. It is amazing though that I am in such better shape than him and I weigh 28 more pounds than he does. He says after our bike ride the other day which was 5 miles that he was exhausted. lol. I am planning on whipping him into shape. lol. Slowly of coarse. He started an exercise routine and he does it every other day. Today is the second time for him to do it. I started him off slow. 15 minutes on the bike, 5 minutes on the gazelle and 5 minutes on the tummy machine. After about a month or so I will add mor things for him to do or maybe more days of the week. He isn't too overweight just has a tummy on him.
Well, I think I have caught up for now. I hope you are all doing well, staying op and moving your bodies.
Debi-Nope didn't get exercise in....nor enough water....but working towards that today!
Annie-(think it was you who asked OOPS! it was Brenda sorry LOL) My ring is a marguise cut opal ring with two small bands on either side of gold with 4 chips of diamonds on each band....I will try taking a picture and posting for everyone to see! LOVE LOVE LOVE your new picture!!! YOU amaZZZZZZZZZZZe me!!! from what you weighed before to what you are now!!! you are truly an inspiration
Cyn-DS is at Ft. Hauchuca (sp?) till Thanksgiving for now....AIT training....
today work went well........just hot....LOL AC gets bumped in our classroom quite a bit........with a pregnant woman, a menapausal woman and a coldblooded woman in the room we are constantly changing the thermostat LOL and none of us are satisfied!! LOL
