The unpacking is going very slowly because I am weeding out all the stuff that should have been tossed before we moved LAST time. DH's stuff is going into storage, and he can make arrangements to come pick it up if/when he ever comes back from KS. I have not heard from him for a while now, and while it does make me sad, it also reaffirms that this was the right choice. Life is far too short to be unhappy.

I really envy all of you who are growing gardens! That is one of the big things I miss about growing up in the country. We always had a huge garden (bunnies and all ), mostly because otherwise we couldn't afford to eat! Plus, it's always been a great stress reliever for me. I think I may go buy a few plants and pot them - maybe it will give me a little bit of that comfort back! Plus, I love fresh herbs and my window sills are actually big enough to have window planters.

I am back to unpacking! I will check in again later. Have a great day chickies!

Hi all,

I have been in lurker mode, and I feel as though I will remain there for a while. Work is super busy, but I am really trying to eat better. Due to poor eating and TOM, I went up by nearly 10 pounds, but most of that is gone. Really trying to hit the 10% goal by the 4th of July. I actually have that week off, but DH doesn't. Blah.

I signed up for the 5K. I will try to do it walking. Bike riding feels like a cheat, but if I get desperate I will do it that way.

Not too much else to report. Ratkitty, still thinking of you.

Take care and be well.

Angie

WOWZA - we are having a great turnout for the 5k - we need to see how many miles we'll do - take a look and see where it leads us.

Thanks for signing up - I hope it does as much for you as they have for me - I did the first one at Easter and never, in my wildest dreams, imagined I could do it - guess what - I DID IT. I didn't do it all at once but I DID IT.

Hope you all have had a great weekend - I laid in the pool this afternoon and sprayed the yard for mosquitos.

Hugs to all,
Carol

Pictures of our new addition to the family!!! LOL
We went in search of a Bull Mastiff LOL and came away with the exact opposite!!! LOL

She is adorable and so tiny! Her name is Nena (baby girl in spanish) Our other two furkids took to her....but they wore her out this afternoon! It will be awhile before we can leave them alone together LOL not that they are trying to hurt her...but that they just wont let her alone....they either want to sniff her or play with her LOL poor little thing was so tired from all the playing!

Dh wanted a Bull Mastiff but when he saw her he couldn't resist....she is Miniature Pincher ....we had a min-pin/chihuahua before and we all miss her....so I think that is why he fell for her!

Nena is 6 weeks old she is a min-pin so she will get a bit bigger but not much! maybe 8 lbs full grown

our other two dogs sleep with youngest DD so we are having Nena sleep in our room in a kennel for now.....she is so small we might roll over and squish her or if she decided to get off the bed she would hurt herself since our bed is at least 4 1/2 feet high!!! LOL

getting ready for bed & hopefully a quiet nights sleep LOL

Default Scuba Update

So, this weekend I was supposed to finish my certification to scuba dive with open water dives Sat and Sun. Saturday went well. I'm not learning as fast as I would like and still get nervous in places, but I had a good time and left the lake feeling energized and wonderful!

Sat night I woke up with a bad pain behind my knees -- esp the left one! I had to make a decision early in the morning, before I really knew what had happened, and I had to decide NOT to dive today.

I think what happened is that I am not kicking right and actually seem to have inflamed my tendons! At least I know what happened.

So, right now I don't know when I'll finish the certification, but I WILL finish -- even if it is AFTER my trip to Croatia!
