Good Morning Peeps - Happy Friday!

We were out doing a few errands last night and stopped to get a bite. Up came the tornadoes - out of no where. The restaurant we were in was completely destroyed by a tornado 4 years ago in May. There was complete panic as many of the homes near by were also destroyed - it is a neighborhood place so I think many of them went running to their homes. We waited for the panic to clear with a plan to go under the table for safety. We were about 3 miles from home. On the way home a tornado touched down about 1/4 mile from where we were. Got home (no basement) and the winds came up again - 80 mph. Then about 2 am it all started again - police knocking on doors - take cover.

Gypsy is getting a hair cut today - need to do a before and after of her - I've thought if only I needed to get a haircut to have before/after. I will post some progress pics this weekend - I need to learn to get in front of the camera a little - I do find myself looking in the mirror more.

I'm tired - need to find more coffee.

Hugs,
Carol

good Morning,
Wer are suppost to get storms today..thanks carol!! LOL I told you that its is nice that you like sharing with me. BUt i prefer to only share your sunshine..not the storms!

dmpls_ have you been drinking enough water? I was told that not drinking enough can cause charlie horses. We are still trying to fill a pool....drink your water!! Hugs to you and hope your legs are feeling better now!

walrus- hope you and hubby are feeling better soon...allergies suck!!

annie_ hugs to you hun, I am so proud of you. Have a great day on your job!!

julia_ my son had a huge wedding on new years eve. It was so beautiful but super expensive. I think a couple is just as married with a small wedding.my brother had a small wedding last month and it was beautiful. with the cost of everything these days I cant imagine what my girls weddings will cost.

angie_ wecome back

jen_ i read if you spray your doorways outside with the cheap listerine from walmart it will stop flys from coming in doors..guess maybe if you mist yourself in it they might stay off you. What a nice perfume. LOL

battle_ your right about bottling the good easy times..wouldnt it be nice. I hate when your doing everything right and nothing is happening. Your also right on about the potty visits. I have noticed that also.

julee_ glad you had a calm day at work for once. hope your friday goes the same way!!
anne- glad you see you here!! I just gave up on keeping up over at TBL . im going to just post weekly there.

catherine_ great advice as always...you are so wise. hope you have a great friday.

debbie_ how are the plants? I got everything in the ground. My mom is telling me to pinch off my first blooms on my tomatoe plants. I sure hate to do that!!Guess the plant need to get stronger before fruit comes.

Carol HUGS I don't know how you cope with Tornadoes! We had a small earthquake (yes in the UK!!lol) & my husband nearly had a heart attack!! I'm glad you are ok & got home safely, it must have been very scary for you both. Can you buy or build a shelter in your garden in case of tornadoes?xxxxxxx
Annie FABxxxx You really are an inspiration!xxxxxxx
Realist, hey hop back in, WELCOME BACKxxxxxx
Alice Ep, you too, WELCOME BACKxxxxxxx
Well I weighed in, down 5lbs, pleased but now the battle is to build on it, lol!!! Not to let hormones, weather & life's stresses affect my eating! Still no TOM, sigh, but I 'feel' like it's going to happen soon, the sore boobs & spots are here laff!
Battle, great the scales are moving down, you are sucessful, a small blip is all it was & you're getting rid of it now, for good!xxxxxx
Anne, I think we all have days like that, I play cards on the pc instead of housework & paperwork. You are supposed to look forward but at times like this, looking back at where you were is more important! I've been losing/gaining the same weight & it's my fault, you have worked hard & lost a lot of weight, NEARLY 100lbs, so FEEL PROUD, I feel proud to 'know' you.xxxxxx
Well..um housework, not the pc, laff..calls..
so bye all
xxxxsharon

Hi all. I have been MIA here for MONTHS, but I have been back lurking for a couple weeks. I am well...been maintaining (pretty much <g>), but hoping to get re-energized to start moving DOWN in size.

Hope everyone is well!

My turn today to be threatened by tornadoes. Thankfully the storm has moved on from my area now. Had a sighting of a funnel cloud about 5 miles north of us, but thankfully it never touched down. Carol, police knocking on doors that would certainly scare me awake for the rest of the night. We don't have police knocking on doors, we have tornado sirens, that go off incessantly during a tornado warning, along with all the dogs in the neighborhood, including mine. When the first siren went off today I was just out of the shower and in my bedroom naked prior to getting dressed. The first thought when I heard the siren was "Please God, don't let me be caught in a tornado with this fat body exposed. The world is just not ready for that."

I am selling my car today and I'm a little sad about it. Never mind that I haven't driven it or any car in 5 years and that I have accepted long ago ( I thought) that I may never be able to drive again. It feels like another piece of my independence is going, when in fact it has been gone for some time now. It's not like I'm a prisoner in my house or anything. My BFF/roommate/caregiver Toni takes me wherever I need or want to go and if she is unavailable Texarkana has a very good paratransit service that I utilize on a regular basis. But I was always fiercely independent, self sufficient and usually loath to let someone help me and as long as my car was sitting there, the back of my mind always had that little nugget of hope that I could drive it again. But practically I really don't have the money to restore it to functionality after sitting for 5 years and I can use the money from the sale for the new computer I want/need to buy. With the onset of RA, I have had to have a complete attitude overhaul and so many days it just irks me that I cannot do exactly what I want when I want. But my troubles are so small compared to some I just need to quit wallowing put on my big girl panties and give thanks for the blessings I do have. Thank all for letting me vent and for listening.

A bright spot in my day to get me over my wallow is my WI. I was 299.4. For the last 4 days I have 299.something, so I am calling it official that I am not longer 300 lbs. I don't know how to express why this is such a milestone for me, but it really is. Now I'm ready to tackle the next 9 pounds with a vengeance to get me to 100 pounds lost.

Wishing everyone a great OP, water drinking, body moving day.

Walrus, A little chocolate never hurt anyone....as long as it was a little.

Bernice, hope the legs are feeling better and the potassium was the thing you needed.

Carol, omg!!! that is so scary. Thank God you're and Ed are ok. Take care......and take cover. Are they suppose to be around all weekend? I think tornadoes are scarier than earthquakes!!
Definitely post the progress pics. I can't wait to see them!

Debi, the plants want to be outside!!! We haven't gotten the dirt yet so we don't have a place to plant them.
That's a good idea about pinching the first blooms off. I think I'll probably do that too.
I bet your's look so nice out there all in a row.

Sharon, wonderful on the -5lbs gone forever!!

Hey Peggy!!! good to see you again!!! Hope we can inspire you to get motivated again. Join our Biggest Winner challenge, maybe that will help.

Ratkity,

Johnnie, and welcome to 2-town!!! Isn't it a great feeling? I know how I felt and it was like a great load off of my shoulders just to see a 2 in front of the other numbers. And 9 more for you to reach 100....that's just amazing.
Keep up the good work.
Sorry to hear about the car but thank God you have good people there to help you whenever you need it. That's worth more than any car.

I found out last night that my son and dil plan on moving to California. I'm fine with it. They have to spread their wings and fly wherever it takes them I'll miss them but I'm sure they will come up here every once in a while to see us and we might even take a trip down there.
I've been applying for jobs but no calls back. Jim is trying to get me in where he works because they need someone to do paperwork for the night shift so I can ride in with him and work the same hours. I don't like leaving my parents along all night but we wouldn't be that far away so could get home quick. I hope this one pans out.
have a great OP, water drinking day, and move move move.
Debbie

TGIF Ladies!

Carol - Glad to hear that you are safe and sound!

Debi - hope your surviving your expected storms and that the kids are low energy today!

Sharon - Hope you enjoy a relaxing moment when your done the housework!

Hi Peggy

Ratkitty!

Yahoo Johnnie! I cant wait to be under 300 just like you! Only 6 more to go for me! You can do it! I have been to Texarkana once w/ hubby. We were on our way to Houston and Gal Island. Love it down your way!

I ordered WATP today. I am excited to get this started! I struggle with lack of exercise on days like to day when it is cold and rainy. Now I will have one less excuse!

Julia, which WATP video did you order? I love those DVDs, though I don't use them as much as I should.

Hi everyone! It's a beautiful sunny afternoon here in north TX. I am done with work for the day and plan to spend the rest getting some errands done, then my haircut, and then take my sweet little dog for a walk. When it's nice out, I feel guilty if I keep him cooped up! My Econ test was last night and seemed fairly difficult. I gave it my best shot and now I'll just have to wait and see how I did. Today I do not plan to do any studying but will start early tomorrow getting ready for my Finance test on Tuesday. Then I am done for a few weeks. I could not be more ready for a break from school!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luan - Thanks for your compliment on my hair color. I went sort of auburn red last fall just for something different and I have always admired red hair. Now it's spring and I am ready to change again and start letting it go ligher again. What can I say? I'm fickle! Sorry to hear your friend isn't being very supportive right now by not celebrating your graduation with you. My only advice is to try to put it out of your thoughts as much as you can and truly enjoy your day and appreciate the people who ARE there for you. It's a huge accomplishment and I really hope you can keep from letting your friend's drama overshadow your celebration of it.

Carol - Scary story about the tornadoes. Glad you were safe! I hate tornado season.

Lauren - What is Casting Crowns??

Battle - Yes, I know just what you mean about the BBW sites. I was (and still am) leery of that too. So far there's only been one guy who seemed like he actually was pretty nice, but he was a bit too old for me and he lived in Indiana...nothing against Indiana, but I live in TX. Can't wait for you to report your official "whoosh"!

Annie - Yes, you most definitely deserve a job that makes you happy. Don't settle for less. Your "Eye of the Tiger" comment made me laugh. I recently got a new Ipod and was downloading some songs to make some playlist for some walking workouts. I put that song in one of my workouts so I can try to get a little "Eye of the Tiger" myself.

Well, that's about all the time I have for now. Gotta get out and get those errands done before my hair appointment. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Hi all,

Home early. I quit that job because it was not what they said it was. It was a call center. Nothing wrong with call centers if that is what you want to do and are enjoying doing but, I'm not into it. Not only that but my hours were supposed to be Mon. - Fri from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and they put my hours at Wed. - Sun from 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.! So, I was not happy about it at all. I kept my word to myself and said if It is not what I want I won't waste my time. I told the trainer that this is not what I was told the job would be nor were the hours the ones I was promised. We parted nicely and I am now job searching again. So, hoping and praying the right job comes along. Part of me feels really bad because I am being so picky and there are so many people out of work and here I am turning down positions but, I really want to be good to me for once in my life. To do something because I want to not because I have to. So, that was my day so far.

Debbie: That sounds great. 268 miles. Do you have a time limit? I hope that you are able to work with your Dh. Tha may be fun. Sorry that your son and dil are planning on moving but maybe it will give you a good place to go visit.

Bernice: Did you drink enough water? Sometimes not enough water causes charlie horses too.

Carol: Hugs and please stay safe with the tornados.

debimitch: Thanks for your good thoughts about my job. Hope your DH is feeling better.

Sharon: Woop woop for -5 more. That is fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Peggy: Welcome back. So glad to see you back sweetie.

Johnnie: you stay safe too! Sorry that your selling your car is bringing on bad feelings. Just know that down the road when you start feeling better you can always buy another car! Hugs.

Julia: You are so close to being under 300! Way to go.

Xena: Yup. I think that song, although kind of corny, has a great message. lol.

Well, hugs to you all. I am kind of bummed even though I made the decision to quit that job I feel bad that I didn't stick it out even though I didn't like it. Kind of whimped out. Very selfish and I need to reflect and get over that feeling.

Blessings all,
Annie
