I think I might have left the impression that I am going to be COMPLETELY off for 3 weeks... nope, just off from school. Still have to work. But at least my evenings will be free and that is what I am looking forwards to. No obligations except to myself.

Battle
- So you went full time and it took two hard years. Hmmm....so how I am thinking I will get it done in 3 while I work full time? May need to rethink that plan! Which I sort of already am if I go ahead and drop back to one class for the summer. I've got to keep a 2 classes/semester pace in order to get done in three years. It's probably an unrealistic plan especially as I get farther along into the advanced finance stuff. Good luck at your speed-dating event. I've recently been wishing I had a guy in my life but don't really feel comfortable trying to date at this weight. I did sign up on a BBW site (never thought I would ever do that) but am finding a serious lack of quality guys on that site. I guess until I am a little thinner I can live my dating life vicariously through you!

Debbie - 70 pounds in a year is definitely something to celebrate!!!!

I hope everyone is doing well. I struggled with eating today at work. I think it was a combination of not enough protein and the usual work anxiety that I have....need to get a grip on that. Well, off for some more studying.

Xena, I also worked full-time.

I think there were a few classes I didn't have to take because I had already completed them in my 2 prior attempts at going for a graduate degree. On the other hand, I had to take 1 undergrad class...but I think I must have had a couple less to take in total.

Also, now that I think of it, I took 1 class prior to going full tilt, so in all it was a little over 2 years.

Battle, hope you had a better day!

Hi Zenna!

So far I can't find a supplier for Fit Flops in Canada...hmm keep working on it. Or may have to send hubby on a side trip while delivering in CT this week!

Edited to add that it looks like Foot Locker carry them!

Hi Julee:

zPizza does sandwiches and salads, too -- I love the sandwich that's based on the Mexican pizza, too Plus, it reheats really well (we put it in a skillet on the stove, so the top gets heated and the bottom gets crisped -- yum!).

I dragged my husband out the door for a walk today -- the problem I'm having is recognizing the pain/discomfort beginning in the bad leg before we get too far from home His problem is his allergies, which made him suffer today. Tomorrow he's said that if I drag him out again, he's going to wear a dust mask while we walk...but I'm still going to get him out again! Less than a month before we'd planned to be hiking in Scotland for two weeks, and we're getting maybe five blocks from home before having to turn around again. Phooey!

Cyn, good news on the blood work!

I am down 4.6 lbs since my last weigh in!!! I am shocked myself but it was nice. I wwas up the last 2 times i weighed in but this one knocked that back off and then some. HOORAY!!!

I got really irked last night. DH and I were watching Celebrity Fit Club...ok not the best weight loss show...but it was the last week and one of the teams decided to take some extreme measures to have a great final weigh in. So they spent a week eating nothing but grilled chicken, drinking 2 gallons of water a day and doing insane amounts of cardio. In the end one of the celebs lost 11 lbs for the week. Scary!! Thankfully they called her on it and she did own up to not doing the healthiest thing. I know though that a lot of people look up to celebs and think that whatever they do can work for anyone..like that whole cayenne pepper-maple syrup-and whatever drink that people were swearing by for rapid fat loss. The thing is...am I irked that someone that people looked up to for succeeding on a weight loss show took that route to lose that much weight...or that I do not have that kind of commitment and will power?

In any case...off to watch the news and catch some zzzz's.

does dieting ever seem to easy?? RIght now it seems so easy to stay within my calories and its starting to scare me. The scale are still moving down. Guess i should just enjoy it while it lasts.LOL

I cant believe its MAY already.....at this rate we will be christmas shopping sooon.LOL

RAin tommorow for us.......daughter is moving all her stuff home from college...so hopefully it will hold off till she make it home with all her stuff. I need to do a little cleaning and rearranging before she gets home.
have a great may day ladies.

Ratkity, I bet you met alot of interesting people at those bike races. Wouldn't you like to get into just one to see what it's like? Hmmmm??

Battleax, how did the speed dating go? Any repeats from the last time?

Annie, will you come and clean my house? Somehow I never have the energy to do it. Just kidding. With just two of us here, it doesn't get bad and if it does, I can't stand to look at the mess. Sure does feel good when the house is clean, doesn't it?

Cyn, congrats on the 300 goal made for exercise! And great news from the doc too!!

Walrus, Scotland? How exciting!! Do you have family there or just going because you've never been?

Luan, to you!!!! That's fantastic that you are all those "firsts". Be proud of your accomplishments....we sure are!!

Julee, YAY on being 4.6 lbs down!!! Is that the bootcamp edition of Celebrity Fit Club? I didn't watch it because they had that awful screech on it again. He irked me on the first one. That's a shame that the one celeb did lose it like that. Not good for us viewers. Don't even consider doing something like that. It's just not healthy!!

I was up to 284 the last couple days, (yes, I'm a daily weigher) but it seems since I started exercising again, that I'm down one today and that's with TOM so I feel pretty good. At least it's moving down again. I'm sure some of it is water weight after eating popcorn and peanuts the other day, but whatever it is, I'm glad I'm back to exercising and seeing the scale move down.
Have a great OP day!!
Debbie

Good Morning Ladies.

This week has been nothing short of crazy. TOM came in with a fury that left me with my head spinning. My food choices were NOT OP. But today is a new day and I'm feeling a lot better.

The baby shower is this weekend, and Casting Crowns is Saturday night, so I will be super busy. I've got to make the punch this afternoon and set everything up. Although I should get it all done today and that way I won't have to make it to the church SUPER early. YAY!

Well I'm headed off for now, I'm proud of all of the pounds that you gals are loosing. Wish I had more time for personals, but honestly, I have no idea of where to start. LOL
