Hi Challenge, and WELCOME! Everyone's body is different, and I don't think anyone really knows a 'timeline' for weight loss, you know? What kind of exercise plan are you following?
I plan to start with walking on the treadmill about 20 minutes tonight after work and slowing increasing it from there. For this month I plan to get up to 350 minutes of exercise.
I'll increase it every month. I want to get back to where I was before (3-4 sessions a week with 40-50 minutes each session of cardio on the treadmill or elliptical machine plus an additional 20-30 minutes each session of weight training). I really enjoyed it once I got into it.
We have about 9 inches of snow here. Our town doesn't plow the streets, they just let the state highway department plow the main highway and leave it at that. Because of this, our car did not budge this morning a 6am when hubby tried to go to work. We had to call a friend with a 4 wheel drive to come get him. We felt bad about waking him up
I didn't do WATP yesterday but was helping hubby at work, so that counts for something. I also got under 1800 calories yesterday. I did WATP today but ugh , I am STARVING. I have a Nature's Valley trail mix bar I may eat. It has 140 calories but 8 g of whole grains!
Hi dear friends! Just quickie to let you know whats going on.
First let me say I got your messages and prayers!!!
Kaitlin was given a CT scan and blood work and the results came back pretty good. There was scar tissue and stuff from when she was in the accident, but nothing new appeared. They are going to test her for epilepsy. (My sister was a severe epileptic and actually past away during a siezure. She was only 24 and that was 27 years ago!) Medicine has come a long way since then - so no matter what (hoping it's not that though)............I'm sure she'll be ok. Again, thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers! I really "felt" them! Everytime Kait expresses that she has a headache, I get nervous! I guess I jumped to conclusions...........thanks for being there to catch my breakdown!
On another note - Good job to all the losers on this thread! wow, you guys are doing awesome. I haven't been getting much exercise in, but I've been pretty OP with a 1# loss this week. TOM is due Sunday - so I have been craving chocolate and doughnuts!?!?!? Oh my! Just craving not eating! Yet anyways!
Have a great day everyone! Talk to you later!
Again, Thanks & Hugs!
jeanne
Jeanne - I've still got you, your daughter, and your family in my thoughts!!!
Okay, the shoveling is finally done! We went out and put in another half an hour, so I got 90 mins of that today! Wooo! We were supposed to go to a hockey game tonight, but it might be cancelled. We shall see.
Just a quick drive by to say hi and let you know I arrived safely. I fit into the seats on the airplane and didn't need an extender. There was no extra room, but I fit. Oh, and like other losers who have come before me, I put the tray table up and down numerous times, just because I could.
There was a woman on the plane sitting near me who commented that a year ago she wouldn't have fit in the seats. She'd just lost 138 lbs.
. Oh, and like other losers who have come before me, I put the tray table up and down numerous times, just because I could.
Congrats! I am so totally the person who puts the tray table up and down now just because I can. And I actually fit down the stupid narrow walkway as well as the seats!
Got the results of my mammogram back yesterday and everything was normal. I am thinking the pain may be from a bra underwire that came lose. Anyway, in the process, I also found out that my ankle is sprained. Possibly has been since October of last year. Nothing big, I have to keep it wrapped in Ace bandages while I am out walking and keep it elevated when home. :/ Four months and I still have no clue how I managed to do it, but my doctor said that most people that sprain an ankle don't realize they have done it because it is the tendons and ligaments that are injured, so you can keep functioning, just with some pain.
I hope everyone is having a good week and have a great weekend.
Debbie: RFP is request for Proposal. The state of Idaho had 5 or 6 contractors like where I work that ran different regions in the state. This year they decided it would be in their best interest to have one company run the entire work first for Idaho instead of all of the different ones. So a bunch of companies including the one I work for put in proposals and the state is taking until Feb. 14th, suposedly, to decide who wins the bid for the state.
Sorry that you didn't loose this week. I'm sure next week will be a good one for you.
Catherine: Thank you so much. I am so new to this kind of work and sooooo not enjoying having people's food in my hands. I am such a giver and my hands are tied so many times not being able to give. I got a call just today and the lady hadn't recieved her food stamps yet and I am just so sickened that there seems to be no reason for it but yet this client of mine has no food for the weekend and I do. It kind of really gets to me. I pray for them and that is about all I can do. I can't give each of them money from my own wallet. So, I pray. I know that is the best thing I can offer in the long run that they will find jobs and really try to find jobs. Anyway, I appreciate your kind words and I am truly trying to just do what is best for me and my dh. Have a blast at your party my friend.
Kayley: Wow, you got a work out for sure. I went and did weight lifting again today for the first time in a while and my muscles were shakey. I got home and my DH was shoveling snow. I helped him for about a 1/2 hour and then I was wiped out. I think if I didn't have this bug I could have done it a bit longer. We have gotten 30+ inches of snow in January! I love the snow so much and I am not going to complain about a flake of it. lol.
Challengeme: Welcome. I'm glad you are here. Really most of us don't set goals of reaching weight and certain times. It is just discouraging to do that and not make your goal. We do have goals but the time is the least important part of the goals. Just work hard and stick with your plan. Exercise daily and drink plenty of water and you should see the weight drop regularly. Welcome to our neck of the woods. Looking forward to getting to know you better.
HeatherDW: I love snow!
Jeanne: so happy that Kaitlin is okay. I will continue to pray for her.
Battle: Thank you so much for letting us know that you arrived okay. Glad that your flight wasn't bad. Hugs on the tray and a big High Five.
Storey: so happy that your mamogram turned out good. Sorry about your ankle.
Well, I think I have prety well caught up for now. Till tomorrow or Sunday.
hey guys...i just decided to check in with everbody how are u? my weight seems to be stuck....so i'm just hoping it will drop sometime soon...good luck everybody~!!!
Good morning Peeps - party day is finally here! I'm already exhausted. I found even more new muscles yesterday while cleaning. I was surprised but perhaps it was lots of stretching. The house is spit shined for tonights party. Still a few things to get buttoned down for the afternoon party. I really should skip my yoga class this morning to finish up but I'M GOING. I can feel all the tension I am holding in my jaws and need to let it goooooooo.
Exhaustion magically made pizza appear last night. I ate pizza - I logged my calories and I was still at 1600 for the day. I do not want to get my extra calories in in this fashion but I am proud of the new behavior.
Today I plan to wear my jeans - remember this is a big deal to me - we will see if my snooty sister can bring herself to compliment me. Any bets? I bet she also won't say a word about the flowers - I did a great job in the designs - if I do say so myself.
Battle - what a sigh of relief about the seats. That would be the most stressful part of the trip for me.
Kayley - you are a shoveling fool - good for you!
Heather DW - we missed the snow completely here in KC although our dear weatherman had everyone in a panic. You must be central MO.
Annie - you are such a dear soul. Your clients are such very lucky people. I know it's hard but try not to take it all personally - you seem so tired with it all. It is such an adjustment working again. I sometimes wonder how I get it all done.
Jeanne - so happy with the results. Thanks for keeping us updated. How's the DDR going?
Heather - you've been going triple speed - did you take a few minutes for yourself yesterday with your snow day? Don't forget about Heather.
Just want to let you know that my little Jackie Boy came through with flying colors. I think he knew what was happening and he shredded my left palm and hand when I was trying to get him in the carrier. Made me feel a little less guilty!! He does have gingivitis...I knew something was up since he has such stinky breath for a 6 month old kitty. So he needs this dental water additive..,$25.00 a bottle . At least all the pets will benefit from it. {sigh}
I have also decided in my next life I am marrying for money and only having cats...no children! I am now in an all out war with my oldest who thinks he can do whatever he wants and there will be no consequences. I thought I was raising a decent human being but apparently not. He is being very dissrespectful and expects me to put up with it. I know he is 18 1/2 and feeling his oats, but that is no excuse for his behavior. What happened to my sweet, adorable, loving boy??????????? I am so sad and am trying not to "feed" the pain with food. And in the first time in quite a while am craving a ciggarette. I know it could be worse, he doesn't do drugs or drink (thank goodness as I have already been down that road with my brother) ,he is healthy, has a job and goes to school. I think all this might be comming from a new girl that is a "friend" he is always running off to. He has a tendancy to almost become somewhat obsessed when he is with a new girl. I really am not liking the person he is becomming. {sigh #2}
Ok...rant over...I am too sad to do personals right now...please forgive me! Just know I am sending and so everything goes right for all.
