Classes start tomorrow so I have a new schedule. I really need to make a serious plan for how exercise will fit into this new schedule. I'm going to write my thoughts about this here for accountability's sake, so bear with me.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday I teach at 8, so exercise before I leave the house isn't feasible (I'm just not one of you early birds). I can take a short walk after my 8 a.m. class--maybe to the student union for a cup of coffee? Or I can possibly park further away and walk a little to get to class. In any case, I can probably get 10-20 minutes of walking in during the morning. If the weather's good, I should go to the state park after dinner for a walk; if not I can do some time on a DVD in the a/c at home. Tuesdays will be a lot like MWF; Thursdays I'll be able to stay home in the a.m., so I can exercise after breakfast and before leaving the house. Weekends I'll try to get to a park or if it's too hot I'll walk in the mall.

Hi everyone, I'm new here, but figured I would just jump in and contribute!
I've been working out to TurboJam for the last week, as well as some swimming. Tonight I put in 45 min on the treadmill. Will have more to add tomorrow!
As for me, I spent a lot of time hauling, lifting and moving things in my dad's attic, and also got some walking in. I don't know how to count it all, as the hauling came in bursts. So, I'm just going to claim my 40 min a day for the past 4 days (my goal). That would be 160 minutes.
I soooo did not want to work out today! I came home from the office with a headache, took some excedrin and hit the couch. I didn't think I'd make it up again, but, I put in Turbo Jam and did the 20 min workout, that was enough to motivate me for more, so I also did 20 min sculpt & 20 min abs. I will be feeling this tomorrow!! Burn baby burn...=-)
I'm trying to focus my toning on my abs now, so I did 2 exercise programs this morning: Yoga for Abs and Core Performance. About 10 minutes each, so that's 20 mins for me.
I really really really really didn't want to go to the gym today. I had convinced myself I would go home, have a snack, take a nap, and then exercise on the treadmill at home. But I knew it would be soooo hard to get myself moving then and it's not as good a workout as I can get on the elliptical. So, I dragged myself to the gym and just did it. 35 minutes. yay me.
