Today I weighed in at 207, and my goal for by the end of Sept. was 206! I'm so excited to know that I'm going to easily surpass that. As far as other goals (eating well, exercising, etc), I'm still doing well too. Even with being back to work now (teaching) and the schedule being a lot busier, I'm still committed to cramming in my exercise time. I think I'd feel so SLUGGISH if I didn't! I know I have more energy, and can get up more easily in the morning, than I could last year.
Hi! I'm back! I took 3 weeks off from working out and focusing on weight loss and now I feel refreshed and ready to go. As far as balancing my schedule out.. the wedding planning will be minimal until after Thanksgiving due to work and school commitments. There has been some stress due to my buyers remorse with my dress.. so I need to concentrate on other aspects of my life until I have time to deal with my the issue.
So with that sorta said (sorry being vague.. its just really complicated and I am trying not to think about *the dress* until after my major conferences are over).
OK.. SO.. I've been working out. I've been running about 2.5 miles a day (last 4 days) and recording what I eat. My goals for the rest of Sept are:
1) Work out everyday except Tuesdays (self defense class), and perhaps one more day off (usually ends up being Fridays).
2) Weigh myself each Wed.. might switch to Friday to join that thread.
3) Drink more water. Not going to quanitfy it.. I will know if I am or not.
I'm not taking measurements this month.. but will next. My overall goals are to lose the last few pounds to reach my goal.
Okay so its a little past the middle of the month and I just want to revamp my exercise goal. Instead of exercise 3 times a week I want to change it to walk 5 times a week.
I've been doing good on the rest of the goals except the one about getting to 159.4 by the end of the month. Hopefully I can get closer though.
lynnie24 - It is good to hear that you are sticking to your goals for the most part! That is an accomplishment!
I am doing OK with mine, as well, but I need to add more veggies. I just can't seem to ever get enough in during the day. Who actually craves veggies, anyway?!?!?
just checking in on sept. goals
doing well at .......
following 5k training plan, drinking h2o at least 4 of my 32oz water bottles if not more everyday, found a great new part time job w/ perks.... a free gym membership at the local club which is way to spendy for me! And we will see as to Onederland this friday it's gonna be a stretch but I'm hopeful.
not doing so hot at......
weight training 3 times a week
vitamins and calcium suppliments
anybody got any suggestions as to how to make taking vitamins and cal. suppliments a habit, I can't seem to remember day to day, thank God I'm on the depo shot.
I will get a weights workout in this thurs. if not hold me accountable please! Thanks
sunseeker - sounds like things are going really well for you! I really have to make myself get my 2 days of strength training per week... it's just so easy to skip it in favor of a little more cardio.
I keep my women's multivitamin bottle next to my deodorant and hair stuff. That is the only way I remember to take it every day. It has been working for me for over a year! I think once you get into the swing of it, forgetting your multi is like fogetting to brush your teeth.
I'm sort of like Leslie. I keep my supplements next to my facial cleanser and contact solution. I use that every morning so the supplements are right there for me to take.
This month has been a terrible month, in terms of meeting my goals! Recently, I've just lost all of my motivation. I've got to get it back and set new goals for October that I'll keep!! It sounds like the rest of you are doing well -- great job! I KNOW how hard it can be. Keep it up!!
This board is helping me stay motivated already, and I haven't even started my diet yet. I was going to blow off making my menus tonight (too tired, stressed, need to relax, etc. etc. ), then I came here and was about to post but felt like a loser so I went to Fitday first. Yay! If you'd like to take a peak at Day 1 go here and scroll to September 22: http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...l?Owner=cburn9
I try to keep my protein above 30% and my fat below 30%, and limit calories. (I always leave a little wiggle room in my menus for the late-night snack or handful of the kids' crackers I will inevitably eat.) It worked for me before, hopefully it will again. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Tomorrow my project will be my exercise plan. Wish me luck!
Woohoo.. I cheated and weighed myself today and I was shocked. I guess I lost some water weight and I got down to 147!!! Now I need to keep this up. I have never ever seen 146 (at least not that I remember) on the scale. I hope I can do it.
