I did, thank you! I wanted to make some red velvet cupcakes in honor of Beltane (and because we're one turning of the wheel closer to my favorite sabbat - Litha!) but unfortunately I forgot to buy icing, too.

One of my friends did bring me over a little gift filled with lavender bubble bath soap, bath salts, and a lavender candle. It was great.

Blessed (belated) Beltane, friend!

that is a super cute bikini top-- you're going to look awesome in it. How did your 5k go? I didn't put in my best time, but I got through it and I had fun with my family. I'm looking into running another one--and actually beating my time.
also, good luck on the phone interviews!

Riestrella:
Rie, you're why I want to run! You seem to really love it and I thought I would grow to like it. But, nope all I run is 5ks and that's the most I've done. I just can't seem to get out of my head when I run But, I did the 5k and it was fun with the family. I don't think I ever run more than a 10k (and that's dreaming). The fight is SOOOOOOO expensive, I don't blame him. I split the fight cost with a bunch of friends, so it was more doable.

You're a married woman!!!! woot woot!!! sounds like you have a wonderful wedding day planned --I hope you had a great cheat day and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Ciao: Glad you had a good day. those are two of my fave things (cupcakes and baths!). That was nice of your friend to bring you over the gift

atmos
good for you for staying within your calories! I've never actually tried Panera...is there a good amount of healthy options?
sorry that you work has been stressful but wow I must say you have a great attitude! The fight screwed me a little calories wise, and I didn't get as much exercise in this weekend (other than that 5k I ran), but next week is a new week and I going to try hard to hit my exercise goals. we'll buckle down together!

Not much to report on my side. Supposed to go on a road trip to visit hubby's family in the south soon, so I'm looking forward to that....but not all yummy high calorie food I will be faced with . I'm so glad Cali doesn't have zaxbys, waffle house and cracker barrel or I'd be constantly faced with temptation!

Hey guys!

So I am now officially married! Though for now we're still going to refer to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend since we want our big ceremony to feel like the real deal. The day itself was really fun, the process was super easy and quick. We went to see Avengers which was ok, not as good as the first but had some entertaining moments. The story kinda fell apart in the middle I think. But it was mindless fun and the cinema had these amazing recliner chairs!! I was in heaven! After the film we got our giant greasy burger and it was delicious, no regrets. I didn't eat for the rest of the day which is awesome since sometimes I eat bad food and it just doesn't fill me up!

Yesterday we had a "nerd out" which is what the boyfriend did with his two guy friends back in high school. They basically used to play video games until the early hours of the morning. But since they all have girlfriends now it ended up being just us all hanging out. We played a cool zombie board game, played some guitar hero and even tried our hand at dancing to the Single Ladies music video! We ate at Chipotle, which was my second time eating there and I just wasn't that impressed either time so think I'll avoid it from now on. Then we got loads of junk food which we barely got through. Felt a little bummed out that I paid for my share of everything but barely got to eat any of it (not because I WANTED to, but just being tight with money!). But it was a great night.

I did a T25 ab intervals workout yesterday even though I really didn't want to, was just feeling super lazy. I thought I didn't do a good job but today my upper abs are killing me! I might attempt my long run of the week later today (3 miles) or if not I'll settle for some spinning. Starting to feel run down with a cough/cold which the darling boyfriend has passed to me .

Weight wise it's difficult for me to weigh since the scales are in the bf's parents bathroom and I don't feel comfortable wandering into their en suite to access them. I'm planning on buying some of my own when I get a debit card in the mail. Anyway, the last time I weighed I was about the same weight so that's the one I entered into the spreadsheet.

-------------

ciao - Not to worry, as I wrote in the rules in the first post weigh in happens between monday - sunday.

atmos - I'm just off 36 in a place that's inbetween Boulder/Longmont...I think I've seen some buses go down there! Will have to look into it when I'm ready to do some socialising on my own. Eep, sorry you're having a stressful time at work! What is it you do?

kisskiss - It's hard for me to get out the house sometimes, but when I'm out there plodding along I really like it. If you don't enjoy running then you don't have to do it! I think it's important to enjoy the exercise you do or it'll make it difficult to motivate yourself. What do you mean when you say "I can't get out of my head when I run"? I've heard of people downloading podcasts and audio books to listen to when they run to have something to concentrate on, I haven't tried it yet since I like the tempo of music, but it seems like a good idea. You can most definitely run a 10K or more if you tried! It does take a lot of training, but personally there's no better feeling than building up towards a big goal!

I got on scale Monday at 232.2 morning and decided to just start my Ideal protein then. I have stuck to it with guns blazing. Im just terrible about water consumption on weekends. Ill Post my loss tomorrow morning. Im not 100% packages, i DIY a lot too.

Hi ya'll,
Im Dora, Im from MS but getting ready to relocate to Louisiana in 27 days. I started the ideal protein diet April 27. Im like Izzboomama, expecting a bit of weight to come on on this strict diet. I need all the motivation i can get! If my 16 year old talks about ice cream once more time, i may have one less child! lol

ketobride - Thank you! Once I get through about the first week of June I think things will get better. I'm in research, so things getting busy at work is exactly like busy times at school such as finals. What are you studying?

Ciao - Very glad you had a great day, and what a wonderful present from your friend! I'm looking forward to the summer solstice as well, though I must say Beltaine had me feeling all sorts of positive.

kisskiss - Depends on your definition of healthy, but I'd say Panera is a good choice if you're looking for something quick. They do a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups. I agree with Ries that even though running is a great activity, perhaps there is something you could enjoy more? Personally I much prefer hiking to running, as it's a good work out but gives me time to stop and take in nature.

Riestrella - Hooray for being married! I also don't really enjoy Chipotle, I never did get the appeal. Once you're ready to venture out you can check the bus schedule and routes online (rtd-denver.com) and perhaps something will work for you! And of course I'd be happy to meet with you sometime if you wish. For work I do atmospheric science research. My particular speciality is a very small field and unfortunately I"m the only scientist currently at work who is well versed in our projects' backgrounds, so not much help for me with reports!

Corazon - I think swolt is an excellent word, and should be one if it's not!

I haven't really been on top of things regarding diet and fitness this weekend. However, I needed the break! I went and saw 3-D dinosaurs with my boyfriend and his friend at the IMAX on Saturday and had a lot of fun, then today was an all day handbell fest which ended in pizza and wine for me. And I'm feeling like the no regrets chicken:
http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-conte...et_nothing.gif

One of these days, though, fitting into my pants will be a priority.

On Thursday I'm taking off for an extended trip back home to see my grandpa's farm one more time before we have to sell it. Trying to track calories is near impossible at home, and exercise is tough. I'll just try to be a reasonable person and hopefully the scale won't increase too much.

so true; the best part of running this past 5k was that I got to run with my family. But, I don't think I really like running. I never seem to get into it (I'm always thinking of when It'll be over) even if I have music or a podcast on. I figure I'd try it because I like trying different activities, but I don't think I'll be doing anything above a 5k.
atmos, I definitely enjoy hiking more than running. I figured I'd give it a try because so many family members signed up for this 5k that I just did, but now that that's over I will probably go back to my number one love

Hey guys! My 5K went surprisingly well! I ended up having a lot of fun. A coworker ran with me almost the whole way, and I beat my best time by about three minutes. Because the race was so small, I even got 1st place in my age group haha So, I have a plaque for that. I'm going to put it up in my office since the 5K was a fundraiser for my work. Very proud of myself and glad I ended up having a good time.

Sunday I helped a friend with yard work. She was moving all of the rocks in her flower beds (she has rocks instead of mulch) so that she could replace the landscaping fabric underneath. I told her I would help because I wanted the workout, but man my arms are feeling it today!

Now I'm just trying to figure out what is next in terms of training. I think I'll keep up the running a few times a week and I'd like to bump my strength up a little bit, but overall I think I need to do a little less activity so that I can actually focus on losing weight again.

kisskiss - Glad you ended up having fun with your family. I feel you on liking hiking more than running - but I do want to give trail running a try. I think I just like being in the woods, regardless of the activity, so hopefully I'll enjoy that. Is that something you could try? Sounds like you have plenty of other physical activities that you enjoy so not a big deal if you don't want to run!

Ries - Sounds like a really great weekend all around. Congrats again

Corazon30 - Welcome!

atmos - Hope you have a great trip this weekend.

Hello!

I am jumping on the wagon! I am sure this thread will keep me accountable. While Im not new to 3FC, I am for the first time starting all the way over... I had lost 55 by late 2013...Welp between bad eating and laziness I am exactly where I began again! After so many attempts I can I say I know what works with my body so its simply my goal to stick to plan and just get the weight off once and for all!

Hi everyone!
I joined the spreadsheet and the challenge, but haven't posted on here yet! I am really happy to be a part of this, and it's definitely helping me stay accountable!
I am a 26 year old musical theatre performer, so am dieting, but also upping my game in the dance/exercise class realm, too! It feels really good! I joined this thread not too long ago at 157 pounds, and am down to 148.8 as of this morning, so that feels really nice, too!
I decided that I am going to reward myself for getting down to my goal weight (which is ultimately 105-110 lbs, depending on how I feel when I am down there) When I reach that goal, I am going to buy myself a sexy new bikini! I can't remember the last time I felt good in a bikini!
It's so nice to meet all of you! You're all smashing it!

Riestrella Congrats on getting married! When are you going to be having your ceremony?

KissKiss I definitely like hiking more than running but I like the pounds that I seem to shed when I'm running. being from the middle of kansas there really aren't very many fun places to get a good hike in though.

Well, It's been a tough week of gains and I a hoping it because its my TOM and it will all WOOSH back off here in the next couple of days. I'm usually pretty bad with my eating and exercising during the TOM but I don't think I've done terribly. I was doing couch to 5 k and doing really well with it but I think I must have fractured my left foot. I definitely can't run on it right now. Avoiding going to the doctor because I don't want the bill and I' pretty sure its a stress fracture. So this week I've just been walking instead of doing the running.

Hey everyone!

Phew...it takes a while to respond to everyone when I don't keep on top of it!

So I've been doing really well with exercise - the best in a LONGG time in fact, but I'm not seeing any weight loss. It's no doubt the fact that I'm not being careful with what I'm shoveling into my mouth, so I'm going back to myfitnesspal to count calories until I get some weight loss again. Is anyone else on it? Would be great to have some more friends! My name is shanastark on it. Feel free to add me, just let me know who you are on 3FC so I don't think you're a randomer.

I'm 164 lbs this week, 1 lb up from last week, mainly water retention I bet since I've been crap at drinking water/loads of exercise all at once but also TOM is on its way. So I'm determined to fix the issue and get losing again! I want this exercise to pay off, goshdarnit!

In other news I finally have joined the 21st century and have a smart phone with a data plan! I had a really sh!tty smartphone previously that would crash all the time but now I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I love it. Unfortunately since I have no credit history I had to pay a $400 deposit and pay $150 for the phone (but I get a $50 mail in rebate) so it was a huge expense all at once but we were prepared for it since we did our research. Hopefully will be getting that deposit back in about 6 months, but in the mean time I'll be building credit which is definitely something I need.

Going out tonight to get some pizza, been fasting a little bit to make some calorie-room for it! Can't wait, been craving pizza since I got here!

-------------

Corazon - Welcome!

atmos - My second Chipotle experience wasn't as bad as the first...but I kept hitting these weird pieces in it that were just gross! Haha. Would rather make my own fajitas than cram everything into the burito. And $2 for a measly amount of Guac was ridonk! Wow sounds like an important role you have! Do you work in those buildings that are right near the Flatirons? Hope you have a nice time on the farm one last time, that must be sad. Do your best to stay accountable, even if you work out for just 20 minutes it's better than nothing! Will defo be in touch about meeting up . I'm spending some quality time with the boyfriend after being apart for so long but eventually I'll be ready to make some of my own friends and venture on my own!

kisskiss - What did you do before you started running? It's fine to not like running! I'm extremely lucky I do like it since it's so easy and costs no money!

NNS - Wow, congrats on beating your personal best!! What was your time? It feels amazing to beat those goals, right? I shaved 12 minutes off my 10K time once and I was over the moon. And WOW! You got a plaque!! That's awesome! Why not try for a 10K now?

lisa - Welcome! What's your winning plan?

kahaney - Welcome! You've lost a crazy amount of weight already, well done!! I love your profile pic, hehe. I'm sure you'll look epic in your new bikini, now and at goal weight!

sydney - Welcome!

keto & kailpea - Thanks! Well, it's not going to be for a few years. I never got an official proposal with a ring, so I said I would like that to happen (girly but I've always wanted to be proposed to!) before we plan a big wedding.
Kail - what exactly is the problem with your foot? Where is the pain? You could be wearing the wrong type of shoes for your stride/pronation.
