Wooo Canadians rock, eh?

I keep trying to figure out a way to motivate myself to get into some
hard core cardio - (sic) any cardio at all :P

I really want to start trying to do some sprinting and such.

Although I have discovered wanting and doing are different things - Wierd!

Feral - are you a school nurse? Are the tatt's in your pics real?

Thanks ladies for the welcome, y'all are awesome

Thank you, ladies you're all amazing

Taylor - I dunno, hun. I still want junk food. And I also watch the food network, but more for the food porn aspect. While eating baby spinach...

Good morning, ladies!

Sorry to be MIA...I've had some seriously busy days lately! We were able to get the first cutting of our hay before the rains yesterday. It is seriously the prettiest/best smelling hay I've ever seen! Our partner (a lovely Swede, Johann) says that we could get $7 a bale at auction for it...in comparison to a normal range of $5.50-6.00! Pretty damn good for a brand new field and our first farming attempt.

I got burned to a crisp helping on Saturday, complete with a hand mark from where I applied my sunscreen unevenly. Thanks for that. Following my skin cancer bout last year, I'm hyper vigilant with my sunscreen, so I'm pretty upset to have burned. What can you do?

I'm hanging in there at 165. TOM officially ended yesterday...longest in the history of man. I am still waiting for my "whoosh" there, Feral! lol I maintained the 165 throughout, and know I had to have retained some water in there, so I'm hopeful!!! C'mon 164ish??

Lauren - Ouch. But that's great about the hay.

Morning Loves!

Taylor - you are SOOOOO close! You'll be there before you know it! I'm a sucker for chips and salsa too... I think queso is my downfall. If I could eat chips and queso every day for the rest of my life I would be okay with that.

Maddie - WELCOME!!!! So I have to ask where in Ireland you are... I have friends over in NI (Coleraine, Enniskillen area). Please jump in with both feet, we don't bite hard.

Stella - you BEASTED that stairmaster girl!!!!! You are so back on your game... that makes me wanna go and hop on the arc trainer RIGHT NOW!

Jess - well, Meredith is really awesome and she's taught me a lot of stuff working here... it's mostly my position though. Other than worrying about Meredith being stressed out I don't really care WHAT they do without me. Then they'll realize this place sucks and their good employees are gone...

Jazz Jess - DATE?! Ohhhhh la la. Details. I live vicariously through you guys remember?!

Meow - Welcome and stick around!!! Glad to have you here.

Jenny - Ummmmm can I have your body?!?! SIZE 13!!!! So excited for you! My butt is still in my 17/18s. Although I did order a size 15/16 Curvy jeans from Aero that were on sale. I'm wondering if those will fit. Their curvy pants have a bit of stretch in them and I feel like the pants I ordered from them fit okay, but they're starting to get saggy butt... so I dont know if the stretch is just doing that or if I'm actually smaller than my head can wrap around?

Mittens - I am the secretary in the guidance office of a middle school. The school nurse is only here 2 days a week so me and my co worker (mostly me) get to play school nurse when she isn't in.... and I don't get paid extra for it.

And to answer your other question - YES my tattoos are real. LOL I got a good laugh at that, I've never been asked that before. I can post up some pictures later when I get home tonight. Stupid net nanny won't let me get to anything on here.

As far as the cardio goes - are you at home or do you have a gym membership?

Chele - you mean you AREN'T Canadian?! LOL Are you hanging in there with the end of the year wrapping up? Only 20 more school days left here. I have so much to do!

Lauren - You have awesome hay apparently... that sounded a little dirty (sorry, where is my mind this morning?!?!!).... I had a big circle last summer that I guess I didn't manage to get sunscreen on and it was a little more pink than the rest of me for a day or two. It was pretty funny. I'm crossing my fingers for your 164!

Stella - IM SO DAMN GLAD YOU ARE FINALLY EXCITED!!!!!

-------------------
So I got to do my civic duty of proctoring until someone came in to cover this morning. That was fun. NOT.

I was talking to my friend Holly the other day about starting up my reiki business. I have just been dragging my feet because I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a table, etc. Well, I randomly thought to check Craig's list (I have been on and off for the past year) and found someone selling an older, but portable table (no carrying case) for $25. Turns out she works right down the street from me so I'm going to meet her this afternoon to take a look at it and make sure it will fit in my trunk and that I won't have too hard of a time moving it around etc. I got my business cards yesterday and set up a business FB account. I just feel like everything suddently fell into place. WHEEEE! So stoked!

I have therapy tonight but I'm actually debating going to the gym later tonight, however I have to see how I feel this afternoon.

I'm having one of those days where I'm super pumped and I just wanna get up and GO! Like just get out there and kick *** and take names!!!!!

And I guess maybe I'm pumped back up to kick this other half of my weight loss in two? I mean, I'm literally sitting at aoubt 7 lbs away from my half way point... I know the next 30 is really going to kick my *** to lose but in the words of 311 "F*ck the bulls*t, it's time to throw down!"

Morning all

It's not morning here at all. It's 2.30pm but I have an assignment week so my day is only really starting. I'm going to the gym at 3. I really amn't feeling the motivation to go right now. Which frustrates me because I'm only on my second week and already my exercise motivation is lagging. I've talked myself in and out of going about 10 times in the last hour. So decided that I'm going, willing or not and I'm going to give it all I have. I hope I feel that it was worth it afterwards. People always talk about the great feeling of endorphins they get after a good work out. I usually just feel exhausted. But I'm going either way.....

Feral: I'm from Dublin, But I'm living in Cork during college! Thanks for the welcome!

Also wanted to thank everyone else for the welcomes!!

This wasn't a great post but I'll post again later after the gym/assignments/driving :P

LMAO!!!!
Feral - Pure brilliance. Thank you for making me giggle at work!!
I have 11 tatt's, so it's one of the first things I notice on people
Definitely share some more pic's!
Wow - at a middle school, huh?
How do you keep your sanity?
I think I would need a daily valium with my morning tea....
Ps. Good luck on the table! I bet you'll kick @$$ and chew bubble gum!

Cudo's to anyone who works in the health or education field!

Hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL Wednesday! I am still stalled at 208. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. My husband has a bow-flex, and I don't have a gym membership, more because I haven't decided what kind of fitness or if it's worth it yet.
It's hard with the wierd(ish) hours I work, and the fact I have a part time 2nd job.
BUT I did make a really stellar lemon-steamed chicken breast and big garden salad for lunch, with a 1/2 cup mashed sweet potatoe with pepper. Yum yum!

Maddie - Awesome! I have a friend that lives in Dublin as well....haven't talked to him in a minute. Thanks for reminding me I need to go bug him on FB. Are you into any techno/club music at all? I know tons of DJs from that neck of the woods. Gym motivation is ALWAYS lagging, dear. Don't let that get you down. Just remember how good you feel afterwards. I usually go straight from work to the gym. If I go home and sit down it's over...

Stella - eff the haters.

Mittens - I have 7. Although the one across my chest is by far the biggest (and my most favorite) piece. I'm going to see one of my friends in 2 weekends and she is scheduling and appt to get some work done on her... its going to KILL me to watch and not get anything done. I haven't had new ink in almost 2 years. *itch itch*

Um as far as my sanity - I have none. The kids drive me crazy but the teachers are worse to be honest.

Hmmm good cardio for home - it kind of depends on what you're into. I would say maybe pick up a few dvds if you think you'll do them. That way you can jump around and it doesn't get too stagnant. Brisk walking outside around your neighborhood or a park is always good too. The point is to get your heart rate up, doesn't mean you have to be a runner.

---------------
Ummmm I'm so ready to go look at this table. I feel like a little kid getting a prize. Then I have to hurry back to work and do some stuff before I get off....

Oh yeah and Mittens - I'm coming over for lunch tomorrow!

Okay so I was just reading Jen's blog over at Prior Fat Girl... she was posting about how was running yesterday and the run BACK to where she started seemd to go by much faster than the run TO her stopping point. She then equated it in terms of the weight loss journey. I thought I would share this because it made so much sense... and seeing as how I need a kick in the butt right now this really hit home.

Quote:
Lesson I learned: Because it is faster going back, that is the EXACT reason why it is so important to be spot on, every day. When we are on a new journey, every day we are making those new decisions, it feels like it is taking forever to get to where we are going. But the minute we start to make old decisions, is the minute we go back to where we started faster. Getting there is hard - going back is easy. That is what makes this journey so difficult.
Oh and random side note. When I don't drink enough water the first place to show it is my lips. They start to get really chapped and peel. Does anyone else experience this? Do you notice it somewhere else first?

Hey everyone. Been out of town the past few days. Went and visited my mom for a few days. It was nice but I didn't track or weigh in or anything. So, getting back on track today. Weight is still down from a week ago, so that's good.

I will have to do personals later. Just wanted to jump in and let you know that I'm still here and on the boat!
