Hi everyone. I've been looking for a thread to join that isn't exactly a "challenge" and this one seems great. I've been in the 170's for months now. Thursdays is my official weigh in day and I was 178.4 this morning. My 5 year high school reunion is going to be late may-early june, so I'm hoping I can get to goal (or at least near goal) by then.

A little about me:
I'm 23 years old and a calorie counter. My exercise is done at work. I am a zookeeper and I burn anywhere from 2800-3200 calories per day (I have a GoWear Fit that tracks my calories burned).

zoochick: wow, i wish i had a job that burned that much but all i do is sit at a desk! you've been stuck in 170s for months? did you hit a plateau? Maybe your body got use to what you do normally and it needs a little push.

Today I weighed 174.4, the same as yesterday so I think I will gladly say I'm more than halfway through the 170s and reaching my first mini goal (170/20 pounds lost)!!

pinkalarmclock: Well I started out staying in the 170s because of being off plan. Then I got back on and was dropping again until I started my new job in the middle of January. Ever since then I've been stuck around 178-179. On average I've had a calorie deficit of 500-1000 per day. I think the problem has been a mixture of my body being in shock because of the physical labor and of me not drinking enough water. So now I'm making sure to get in my water and I'm gonna see how it goes.

I just got into the 170's, and I already can't wait to get out of them! Today's weigh in was 179, and I'm so excited that I'm now officially out of the 180's!

173.2 yesterday morning! Woo! Almost 10 pounds down! It's taken a while but at least the weight loss has "stuck!" Slowly but surely!

Hey everyone. I was down to 177.8 this morning. The pounds are FINALLY starting to drop. Now I just need to get over whatever it is that I have. Saturday afternoon I got a sore throat all of a sudden, I had a fever all day yesterday with the sore throat, then I wake up today and can't talk. I really hoping I'm better by Thursday because I'm going to the spa for a 30 min. massage, a manicure, and a spa pedicure..all for FREE. It was a present from my boyfriend's parents. I can't wait! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hey everyone. Just got home from the spa, the massage was AWESOME and I love the way they did my hair! I will definitely be going back to them for haircuts, massages, and mani- & pedicures. I'm feeling a lot better now and can finally talk again (although my voice is still really rough), but I'm coughing a lot more now. Then I had chinese food for dinner last night, so my weight was back up to 177.6 today (it was down to 176 the other day). Have to bring my cat into the vet today, he got either bit or scratched by another cat and it formed an abcess (which has ruptured and is very digusting). So hopefully he won't have to stay overnight, he's already very upset that he's had to stay inside the past 2 days.
