Where I live is surrounded by water but it is not the Ocean... I want the Ocean darnit

Hawaii is 3 hours behind SD, and i'm 3 hours behind you east coast gals. Its super early there... but thats when the best waves are. And scratch what I said about not getting hurt... those waves will kill you if you don't know what you're doin!!! i was talking about the more normal 3-5 footers I like at the majority of SD beaches =)

Icon - i wish there were 30 hours in a day. Then there would be enough time for everything!!

Oh girls don't be silly... even with 30 hours in a day there still wouldn't be enough time!!! Just like long vacations... they're never long enough!!!

So staring at powerpoints on an old, flashy monitor HURTS. I'm going to print these babies out and go sit in my class. I've been listening to classical music on pandora for the past 2 hours and I feel my brain waves MoViNg!

And yes, give me the ocean anyway, but I like the east coast - not too rough and not too cold.

I'd never dream of moving away from my Jersey Shore :3 And NO, MTV's idea of the Jersey Shore is NOT an accurate representation of the shore!

Mary - ha, ha, i was wondering what locals would think of that show...i'm guessing it's just "a bit" stereotypical!

skinny - Accurate? There are no guidos at any of the beaches I go to! Lol I don't understand why they picked the beach they did, when they could have chosen from Ocean City, Avalon (my favorite), Wildwood, Cape May, Stone Harbor, etc.

So after a BORING day at work... I am PISSSSSEEDDDD!!!

Long story short counselors are supposed to walk new students out to the bus. This is a rule made (obviously not enforced) by administration. Whenever a kid misses their bus/ride someone is supposed to stay with them. We are not allowed to take them home in our cars unless we are an administrator. School gets out at 2:25 I have to be at work until 3:30. Most of the time kids call parents and are picked up before then. Every now and then I have to wait but usually wait until 3:45 and then leave them with an administrator.

Today I was waiting with a child for her mother to come. In walks the NEW student at 3:40. He got on the wrong bus and the bus driver dropped him back off at the school. I had to call his mother (who JUST moved into town this weekend and had to get off of work to come get her son) to come get him because THE COUNSELOR DIDN'T TAKE HIM TO THE BUS LIKE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO.

So....I paged an admin... no one responds. I then call my BFF and asked her to beep an admin (she has a nextel, I do not). She had already left for the day and informed me that everyone was gone. WHAT THE **** WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I HAD LEFT AT 3:30 like I was supposed to.

a) I'm not sure what transportations policy is about their driving dropping off a kid curbside and not making sure anyone was in the building
b) this would have never happened had the counselor done her job
c) this has happened with this one particular counselor 4-5 times this year already... and I have to deal with irate parents and stay late because SHE always leaves the building promptly at 2:30

I'm scheduling a meeting with the principal tomorrow morning. I have complained about this repeatedly (obviously not enforced) and this is the ONLY thing I ever tattle about in the 2 years I have been at this job.

UGHHHHH. Eff you counselor. Eff you for making me stay an hour late when it could've been avoided. ARRRGHHH.

Gonna go run in a minute. Def have some steam to blow off.

Ugh so stressed. I've been trying to work out or at least eat decently everyday (staying under 1600 no matter what!). But so stressed from finals... I've been breaking out so badly. :( fml

feral- its where i used to have lunch last summer when i was working near by ^_^ And that is a really sucky day :( Stupid people not doing their jobs! I hate to think what could have happened if no one had been there for that kid

Feral - That sucks! I'm pretty sure that's against school bus policy to drop a kid back at the school, especially if no one else is in the building! I would have given the parents the counselor's phone numbers (home included, if I knew it!) and tell them that SHE was responsible for their child not being taken care of and for them taking off of work to come get their child. Seriously, why do some people work with kids if they can't handle all of the responsibilities?

First and foremost, the Jersey Shore show...quality. I love the guidos! They are so fun. We have our own version of Guids in south florida and it is pure comedy gold.
I too love the beach and cannot wait until I get home for break and can spend my days there. Please do not burn!!! lol.
I looked at little swim suits today and target and there are some adorbale ones. I cannot wait to be at goal and looking so fine in my little bikini. Fun times! Oh, and have decided to bod comp myself when I hit goal because am considering regoaling, though with 16lbs left, I'm still a very far way and perhaps some more body changes will happen. Yes, patience is good. The goal is just so close! lol. I'm used to always thinking "man, I need to lose 3O to 4O lbs. Yes, its far, but my mind will not stop thinking that I need to be aiming for some super far away goal. Oh well...one thing at a time. And if I keep losing at this rate, it will be a long time. 16 weeks to be exact lol.

Mary - The thing that kills me is that I'm the pee on in the office and I make a little under 20k a year... she makes almost 70k!!!!! And she doesn't do ****. Totally reinforces my belief of the less money you make the harder you work!
